I also LOVE that she really gave a performance and stopped singing, added ad-libs, and danced a bit. She really showed that her mic was ON and was really performing. Amazing!

Oh wow! I thought the live singing rule came after Kylie's Stock Aitken Waterman era... and basically thought she never sang those super poppy songs live on TOTP. Yet here we are! Amazing! I love this! ❤️
Her voice so deep and rich and one of her best live performances EVER! Her sung vocal echoingly overpowering the playback-she could ve easily sung acapella
Nice her live vocal like as in concert this was in mid in the mid 90s when you could tell which artist would survive and which you could forget not many survivors out of the SAW camp
I believe at the time Kylie got a backlash from the press for lip syncing on live performances, even though most of the shows she performed on were the ones who made her mime in the first place, by 1992 I think Kylie had enough and wanted to prove the haters wrong, she certainly did that!’
Kylie is a class act. Dancing & singing live at the same time! She must've been exhausted afterwards....lots of prep work involved methinks! She pulled it off, well done Kylie. We love you❤.
Absolutely loved the track back in the day, but it was obvious Kylie needed to move forward musically. And glad she did, as she's still here chrining out great songs in 2018.
OMG!!!! Gracias por subir este vídeo se ve increíble. Me encanta tu canal. Si tienes mas vídeos ojala y los puedas seguir subiendo para disfrutar de ellos Gracias Kylie Minogue H
Wow she could show pop stars of today a thing or two! Live vocals hardly any back up vocals , dancing never out of breath and never flat!! Not forgetting her stage presence!!
The lyrics aren’t about Kylie leaving SAW, any more than the lyrics to “Better The Devil You Know” are about Kylie splitting from Jason. They’re both just urban myths. The song, as most people know, was written and produced by Stock & Waterman and Mike Stock certainly wouldn’t have written a song that was of detriment to himself. Furthermore, the song was recorded and released in 1992, almost 2 years after Matt Aitken had left the team, so she wasn’t working with SAW by this stage anyway, because SAW had disbanded.
I heard at the time in 1992 her Contract was almost up with PwL & the song was a step back in her progression in her career , " Celebration " cover version was her last single release with PWL RECORDS ,then she moved on to " Deconstruction Records " Brothers in Rhythm " Collab- Confide in me etc : but I thought the song was more like something from 1989 Like Hand on your heart ,Never too Late ,I liked it it was catchy 😀
This was actually a very amateurish, almost karaoke like performance and certainly not of a standard that could be considered acceptable for a professional singing/ recording artist. Even talent show contestants, like on The Voice and X Factor manage to sustain more control over their voices than Kylie (with all of her experience) manages here. She is pitchy and wasn’t breathing in the right places, leaving her breathy and unable to sing the ends of the verses properly. To the point where she eventually gives up on the repeat chorus before the middle eight. It’s more shocking, considering that her dancing is minimal, it’s only one song she performed and on her live concerts from 1990 onwards she has a lot more control over her voice, whilst performing multiple songs over a longer period. It’s not Kylie’s ability, as she performed Hand On Your Heart live in 1989 effortlessly. It’s just this particular performance wasn’t up to her usual standards.
Steven Boyle Actually, it was TOTP policy at the time for every artist who performed to sing live. So during this era of TOTP no act was allowed to mime. Kylie didn’t chose to sing live here. She was forced to in order to appear and promote her single. Given the choice she no doubt would have mimed. It’s why she is so clearly unprepared on this show. Also, everywhere else she performed this, she mimed. All that aside, it’s no excuse for a professional singer, who is capable of sustaining 2 hour live concerts to give such a dreadful vocal performance for only 3 minutes!!
@@wishkid79 What are you talking about, it was policy to sing live on TOTP? Phwwt! How about this performance? Live?? ruclips.net/video/al6XoLI_OTQ/видео.html

A few years earlier this would have hit number one 😊
Gosh! 3 minutes of my effervescent youth captured in a Kylie pop song and those gorgeous dancers.......
Absolutely agree ❤❤❤
I remember when this came on and I thought " WOW" she's singing live! I was so proud cos she was copping so much flack for miming. I love you Kylie.❤
But no one sang live on TOTP's before this time , it was all lip synced by everyone who went on it .
@@nickyjames8550 Lesson is there is always haters.
They hate while others are given a pass or multiple passes.

WOW, I guess she showed them with this performance. That would be a damn hard song to sing live AND stay in tune but she did it.
My God I was crazy about the song in 1992! I played the Greatest Hits nonstop! ❤️👏🏼
Wow a rare live vocal for this era
She does Celebration live on TOTP during this era.

Super song. The lyrics are about Kylie leaving S.A.W. Sad but true. She should work with them again.
Stock-Aitken-Waterman are the greatest hitmakers of 80-s. Kylie must contact them and release one more "classic" album.

Me pregunto porque no la ha interpretado en giras recientes, es una linda canción :)
Porque es una canción que nunca le gustó.
😇💝
are there no english back up dancers available??
This song was not enough for that Kylie era!!!

She is credited on the song as a writer with Stock & Waterman, I wonder if this was the first breakaway for her into penning her own stuff?
Perfect song to leave PWL with! 🤩

I heard all that before. . .
Had she done a cheeky line before she went on stage? She's a bit out of breath when normally she could sing and dance with relative ease....
Is it just me or is it odd she didn’t sing a specific line (twice) in this performance?
@Simon B What do you mean?
