In the original novel that this Canto is based on, _Don Quixote de La Mancha_ the titular character is a member of the lower nobility who becomes so obsessed with chivalric romances that he decides to become a knight-errant wandering the nation of Spain trying to live the adventurous life of the heroes he read about in the novels. He recruits one of his farmhands, a man named Sancho Panza, as his squire who serves as a witty grounded foil to Don's lofty rhetoric. The most common theme throughout the book is that Don Quixote does not see the world for what it actually is and instead prefers to imagine he is living out a fantastical story. All of this is reflected very well in the exchanges between the Bloodfiends surrounding the creation of La Manchaland. In Limbus Company, if you imagine that this song is sung from the point of view of the Sancho character (who is in your party as "Don Quixote") then it becomes a near-perfect description of how Don Quixote would want to believe Sancho describes the experience of adventuring with him to others.
