In Europe/Italy it was previewed with Giorgio Armani and Gucci special trims. It's very much directed at the wealthy family market who wants to add a 3rd, 4th, 5th car to their bougie fleet. MINI buyers essentially.
Its disappointing how Fiat misses the mark so badly with US drivers. If the charging was faster, or the range was a bit better, maybe it could work for people in something like a townhome on the edge of a city. But it's just not feasible for a large enough segment to make it worth selling here.
They should have came out with a Pikachu Edition. Yellow body with the Red front turn signals bezels, brown mirrors and a black top with black interior and a picture of Ash and Pikachu on the passenger airbag cover...😂😂😂😂
I'm entirely certain that the Euro/Dollar rate of exchange hurts this car in the US. Were it built at a plant in Mexico alongside a number of other Stellantis products it'd be a $23-26k purchase. Then, you'd have more people's attention.
@@gabriell.4440 If you look at how this was designed, you can see that there is space in the engine bay, a la Hyundai Kona, for an ICE in there. Since no one can fit in the rear seats, just leave them folded down. Would have more than enough trunk space. I think this would make a great city car, but needs to be priced at $25K tops!
The original fiat 500 was a basic, CHEAP motor car. Not an impracticable EXPENSIVE pile of crap. $34,000 doesn’t make sense at all. And there was an outline of the skyline of a city , presumably where it is made under the air conditioner controls.
