"7 years of overnight stardom" This guy literally worked his ass off to become the heartthrob and Sonu did that for him. People call him overrated with so much ease, they should keep in mind what he's gone through before reaching here.
Got tears in my eyes after listening to kartik's struggle. He is the best ❤️❤️❤️..
Oh so nice
With all due respect to Ranveer Singh , this guy is the actual outsider breakout star. Ranveer Singh was from outside but came with good contacts and a very solid bankroll background. This guy is totally the breakout boy for whom things actually worked out in the most normal and humblest ways
He rightly said, living his dreams
rajkumar rao, aayushman, karthik ther are the real outsider

S Bharath Narayan what outside he’s Sonam Kapoor’s cousin from her mom’s side he’s literally related to Bollywood which is dictionary definition of nepotism.
@@deepikathapa9953 lol ranveer is outlier I m not hater anyone but ranveer is real outside check him personal information.
Appearing on Koffee with Karan is not a sign of arriving in Bollywood, I think getting interviewed by Anupama is a true sign of arriving in Bollywood. Thanks for doing this interview. People needed to hear about his struggles.
Exactly. Karan Johar calls many tom dick and harries who are good with gossiping 😂
Matlab kuch bhi. Nothing is a sign of arriving anywhere except for your success
the best thing about him is that inspite of seeing so many struggles in his life he never lost hope and kept on trying !!!! he's really an amazing actor too ❤️❤️
Matured, grounded ,never seen a actor who is so normal behaved and truthful ,that's why ya successful people are humble
Pavithra Biradar don’t want to start a fight but you know who Vicky Kaushal is?
Ya right, One hit movie and hes successful apparantly. The most Overrated Actor! No versatality , the same kinda roles in all the movies- punchnama 1, 2 and Sonu k tweety....
@@shrilekhaagastyaraj356 Those were the scripts he got at that time. He was very new and it is unfair to expect him to be versatile actor at the start with no connection with industry people. he is not like Varun and Alia and they both got to play different characters even in their early years. so we have to be patient to see him more in different roles to judge his acting skills.
Gwalior ke log aise hi hote hain bhai
Yes I do ,who wouldn't know a fine actor like him,we would appreciate him tooo for his work
Now this guys struggle was one of the actual struggle which normal people faces for becoming a actor, feels good to see him succeeding. he sounds like such a grounded and sweet person. God bless him
Exactly iss bande ne actual struggle ke bare me baat kiya...
This interview was like a "heart to heart" conversation with your best friend. A pure joy to watch.
For those who are saying he is over rated just check the hardwork he has done (7-8years of struggle) without knowing anyone in this industry. Just go & watch his 1 shot monologues of 5-7 pages !
He got this fame only after huge success of his movie in 2018 ! He is not at all over rated ! Just bcz he is getting the well deserved amount of attention doesn't mean he is over rated! HE IS A GEM & HE DESERVES ALL THE LOVE ❤
Really...apne kaha dekhne ko bole mam???
He’s awesome and so down to earth love him❤️❤️
Very very overhyped he is...
@@dishadogra4233 you are over hyped through ur comments. Kabhi 7-8 saal struggle ki ho?

AkaashVani is his most underrated movie. It was such a nice romantic movie!
It was crap man
Very true !! A love story which is so relatable to our Indian society.
Haven't watched it yet. People criticize luv ranjan for movies that paint women in bad light but i believe it was a female centric film. Everyone conviniently forgets it.
I believe it was a remake of a southern movie. I think it deserved more sucess as it dealt with some serious issues. Marital rape and abuse is no joke.
@@r.22r Some movies down south are extremely progressive and has content that constantly pushes the envelope. Their treatment may be loud or ham handed but got to appreciate the content.
This is simplicity at its best.
Common man becomes a movie star and rest is history.
These ppl are now getting noticed much because of kangana”s bold words about nepotism.
All the best Kartik!!
right said
Yaah ..!wht a bold actress, she make industry to think on it.....
He can't even act lol
They r nepokids who can act way better than this guy
@@user-fk8md4jn3i not all nepokids 98 percent of nepo kids are worse, average but i think you are here after the news when dharma banned him. But he is the worst outsider actor.
I used to think that Kartik Aryan was arrogant but this interview proved me wrong. He's very down to earth and real
He never was
Lol claims to b a superstar after bhool bhulaiya n u say he's down to earth
Loads of respect for this guy. Such people truly deserve the best; coming from a background of no film industrial links whatsoever proves the fact that hard work and compassion can lead to this lifestyle. Keep it up Kartik!
Was never a ‘fan’ fan of him, but found him so full of perseverance and upholding the family values kind of a person here. That struggle story of him really brought a tear to my eye. Hope he keeps doing path breaking work and is an ‘actor’ and not famous for relationships, brands etc etc.
3:18 That's so sweet he buy a house for his family and live with them ....it's parents blessing that your struggle become success
Amazed by his simplicity 😭😭 How can someone be so humble, honest, polite, grounded, splendid, dashing, and everything at onceee?!!! Tbh, he has struggled the most than any of the existing actors in Bollywood today.
He literally didn't leave up his dream of becoming an actor despite facing rejections. I personally felt so bad when he said" I used to travel for 2 hours and some person rejected me saying me I was unfit" Mannn hats off to u for this courage. I could have broken down in this situation but u are a STAR.. how did you do it. love you kartik Aryann
I am happy for this guy because i can see the growth from his punchanama days to sonu. I hope he continues to grow.
He's so infectiously sweet innocent gosh!!!
Just like you!
Really impressed by the way Karthik has struggled all the way to reach here.
Now that’s the reason why Nepotism is the the issue. It is really soooo unfair when these actor kids have it easy.
Excelsior True. No one said life will be fair.
Karthik can't act doesn't matter if he is an outsider
I love the fact that he spoke in hindi. Having a strong command over the language is definitely a strength.
This might b the first RUclips video I saw with no negative comments and it has to be..finally he got what he's rightfully deserves...hats off man..u will rule Bollywood
never heard or watch his movies before but this interview so beautifully real and honest, feels good to hear, it's like a cousin, brother or a friend somebody your own is telling his struggle stories
He is not just a choclate guy but a guy with a golden heart too.in love with him more now after this interview❤❤❤❤❤❤

He is such a sweetheart & humble boy!! Wow in love Karthik!😭😭❤️❤️
heyy.....can we talk?
I am happy that the nepotism magic has worked on the industry, with talent getting to pedal forward after a lot of hurdles- rajkumar rao finding stardom and popularity after 6-7 years, vicky kaushal after 8 years, karthik after 7-8 years, nawazuddin siddiqui after 11 years and ayushman khurana after 6 years! can't measure the happiness i feel given the patience and "junoon" each of them nurtured to stick around and keep trying! each of them are self made!
way to go !!
Yes 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
SRK became successful right from his first movie and so are PC and DP. What do you have to say about that? Talent bhi honi chahiye and also the audience should be able to relate to the characters and the acting of the actors. Also you have to be at the right time with the right project. Irrfaan Khan and SRK have debuted on TV at around the same time and migrated to BW also around the same time but Irrfaan unfortunately took like 20 years to get a main lead role in a mainstream- ish movie. That’s why Ranbir, Ranveer and Ayushmaan have more commercial success than a RKR or a Vicky!
He is the sweetest, humblest actor I have seen. Feels like Im listening to a friend talk. Cant wait to see how you grow, Kartik!
Kartik Aaryan is an amazing actor ..i have no words for praising him❤️❤️
Wow, what a journey! So much respect for this guy...true struggler and nice to see how grounded and simplistic he is after success
Such a humble & genuine guy... Very well spoken & down to earth... Loved him💞

This is REAL struggle. 5 plus hours commuting both ways just to audition and getting humiliated. Changing cloths at a train station. Not having money for a portfolio and cropping images.
A 2,500 rupees cheque to bring a big smile to his face and keep the fire and hope going.
This compared to star kids who get an assistant director post with Dharma, or SLB, or some other bg name production house and then call it get a launch. LOL
@@tashafiesto7082 May all your dreams literally come true. You achieve everything you want in life.
Chalo man atleast starkids like ranbir and shahid know how to act unlike this guy
Yk u should have knowledge about filmmaking before acting in a film
@@user-fk8md4jn3i I have knowledge about film making and the different phases and things involved in making a feature film. That doesnt mean I am a good actor or I can act or be launched as an actor! More important than knowledge about film making, is to know acting! Go to acting school to learn acting and emote with your eyes and body language. Yes you can learn being on set, but being an AD or responsible for maintaining continuity from one scene to another will not help you become a successful actor. One doesnt necessarily need to go to acting school or theatre to be a good actor BUT any of these 'star' kids who start as ADs for Dharma and then go on to get launched by the same production house definitely . The 'star' kids like Hrithik, Ranbir, Shahid and a few more are a rare breed and they have also struggled before becoming the good actors they are today. Can you name handful of 'star' kids in recent times who have become or are good to great actors?
@@tusharvyas174 u wrote this much just to justify karthik's incompetence as an actor lol
Anyways well most of them today r crap except harshvardhan Kapoor and ishaan khatter moreover there r even better than karthik
My point was that he might be an outsider but he can't act for shit so u guys should stop saying he struggled and blah blah
Yes he did but u cannot judge his acting from that
Don't know about others but ranbir was fab since his first film same goes for konkona sen Sharma, zoya akhtar, abhay deol, farhan akhtar
@@user-fk8md4jn3i :) I dont think karthik is a very good actor but definitely better than todays star kids. I am comparing him against his contemporaries. Again that is my opinion and you might see it differently which is fair.
Again in my opinion Harsh, Ishaan and I will extend it to Arjun, Aayush, Sooraj, Athiya, Jhanvi, Sara, Ananya, Shanaya (going to be launched soon) are not good actors, but they keep getting good to big projects.
I am not judging his acting from his struggle. I am simply stating what actual struggle is, compared to what you have heard other star kids say in regards to their so called struggle and how tough they have it and all that jazz. I am comparing struggles of an outsider to that of a star kid. Star kids saying they have to live up to a reputation and all that, which is true but when you have your debut film tank all across the board, and critics blast your acting skills they still get the big name banner projects. Looking beautiful or having a 6 pack body does not transfer to being an actor.
Again the names you mentioned are all olderish actors. I am again talking about todays gen-x star kids who seem to get launched right left and center without any acting skill or pedigree and have 3-5 films lined up before their debut.
Never knew Kartik is this much humble and he's totally a boy next door! Dilse good luck to you brother and thank you Anupama for interviewing talents like him n Vicky Kaushal! Good one indeed! 👍

So glad to see Kartik Aaryan rise and enter the big league and yet remain so candid and humble. To breakthrough all the nepotism and be accepted speaks volumes about his determination, talent and hardwork. A little disappointed on Anupama's view that appearing on Koffee with Karan is seen as the ultimate sign of being arrived, which means Nawazuddin Siddique, Irrfan Khan, Rajkumar Rao have not yet arrived. Hope Kartik goes from strength to strength from here.
