A big shoutout to Lydia for sharing her story! You are such an amazing person and wish you well. I had a 13cm cyst on my ovary years ago and had it removed. I know the pain and discomfort they cause and hope they remove it soon. Some quality kitty time will be the best medicine! 😊

For those who didn't really understand her explanation. A dermoid cyst is a type of cyst that contains stem cells from other parts of the body. This causes different structures to grow in the cyst... like teeth, hair, skin, bone and such.
Kind of weird they didn't diagnose it earlier. The story she told is very typical for an ovarian cyst, not really pointing towards an infection.

To Lydia: I had an ovarian cyst too, the size of a large orange. I had it laproscopically removed and it was biopsied while I was still under anesthesia I hope you can have it done laproscopically. It wasn't bad at all. The only real discomfort was the air stuck under my skin. Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery. If you do have to have normal surgery which it sounds like you do, enjoy your time off!, You will still feel odd twinges of pain and some minor discomfort where the cyst/ovary were but after several months you'll be as good as new. take care!

My mom had ovarian cysts as well and had to have a total hysterectomy back when I was in HS. You will get through it like a champ Lydia!! Love everything you guys do!! Tom I’ve been watching for 4 years and regularly rewatch ur survivor island and racing optic series! Glad you will have another coming back! I'm a second year medical student and its strange because last week we had a lecture on urinary tract pathology and went over dermoid cysts! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and soon you will be back to normal! Best Wishes!

I’m so sorry to hear that Lydia, that’s absolutely horrible, my mom had kidney stones and she was always in so much pain and there was nothing i could do besides making sure she was as comfortable as she could be, make sure Tom treats you well and makes sure you eat and rest well
My mother experienced the exact same thing, she said it was the most pain she ever felt, so i wish you the best lydia, good luck.

Good luck Lydia! I've had the same operation for an ectopic pregnancy and had to have the full non key hole surgery. Recovery was really tough make sure you have lots of comfy pj bottoms and loads of pillows for bed xx

Lydia, you have nothing to fear! I had a cyst on my left ovary for a few years that was 8cm and I had it removed when I was 16. They managed to do mine via keyhole. I found out that I have polosystic ovarian disease which isn't as bad as it sounds! I'm sure Tom will look after you and you will be back to 100% tip top in no time. To health and happiness for the both of you xx

For the Tv if it's a Samsung so if you go into Settings> General> External Device Management> Then turn on game mode and it should essentially get rid of the input lag.

Whatever bout Tom sharing his life with the RUclips universe massive respect for Lydia sharing something wicked personal and can be distressing for her with toms audience. And I hope she gets well soon and Tom better be practicing his Florence nightingale (yes I probably have spelt her surname wrong) routine and look after her. Very lucky dude to have her in his life.
I know exactly how Lydia feels! I had a 10cm cyst on my ovary that they had to remove, the pain is excruciating. I ended up having emergency surgery with specialists on standby because they weren't sure if it was connected to my ovary or bladder. Sending positive thoughts your way!
