Against higher-level bosses, your actual Precision will be lower. Against lower-level enemies, it will be higher. There is a nerf to Precision when your team CP is below the recommended CP.

Since getting base defense(without weapons & Artifacts) higher is difficult and it rises slowly compared to attack and hp, Defense % gems will give less stat than additional defense gems.
