As usual, the topic is well-explained. Considering all the systems I think the Proportional Representation with Open List system would be better for India. I realize that no system is perfect and each has its pros and cons. But if the candidate does not have the best interests of the country in mind no system will be successful.

the present voting system needs modification .A person holding voter identity should be able to cast his or her vote from wherever he or she is in the country. This would increase the percentage of voting polled. Also if he or she is able to vote without going to polling station many would be benefited

Proportional based voting system is deathbed for small or least populated state. If it is introduced, UP which now elects 80 MPs will then have power to elect 94 MPs and Kerala which now elects 20 MPs will only be able to elect 13 MPs. Edit: for a state like Sikkim it will be 0 MPs
