How stretchable is the silicone when ready? And when making something like this (with silicone and stretchy fabric) do you make it the size you want it to be, or how much smaller do you make the garment?
You could probably trace your fabric to make the curve and cut it out of wax paper... the use like a glue stick to keep it in place and glue it into the way paper you are painting the silicone onto. It would keep it in place and still be easy to peel off after a minute......then you would old have a smoother curve and it would be easier than using tape (I think)
Hi just ran account this video and was wondering how well the silicone stays on the undies after you wash them? Has anyone tried clear elastic? Or is that too binding? Thanks 😊
@greenstyle Can you apply silicone directly to a garment? I have a couple of briefs in a skating dress that glides up, so I want to afd storkundes, but since the briefs are already sewn together, I can’t do the part with the tape. I saw another video where silicone was added to a pair of cykling shorts and he added low-Odin mineral Solvant to the silicone before applying directly. Would I have to do that, or can I just add the silicone directly?
Silicon is good for you. It’s one of the minerals your body needs to function properly. Alongside others like chromium and vanadium and boron and potassium and manganese and magnesium and zinc. However as far as I’ve found in medical papers, silicon doesn’t go through your skin. So no, none of it is gonna get inside your skin. If you need silicon because you have a silicon deficiency like maybe you have old looking skin you can silicon to help with that through your food Aka silicic acid or silicate. The natural bioavailable form. Not the artificial one. tinyqualityhome.com/health-benefits-of-silicon/
@@DylanBegazo Silicon is a naturally occurring substance whereas silicone is artificial. Plus there are medical grades of silicone versus industrial grades of silicone. I believe medical grade silicone strips are used to apply over scars to help with healing. Silicone inside the body can migrate and cause problems. That's why so many women are having older silicone breast implants removed and replaced.
Does it have to be replaced periodically? Is this a money saving hack? Why not just buy silicone backed elastic? Stretchy Silicone Elastic Tape 5/8'' Width for Garment Accessory is 12 bucks for 5 yards.
The double sided tape qorks really well but make sure your skin is clean (no lotion or oil) but it’s not permanent it’s only one time use....) this is a permanent solution. You can also use eyelash glue for a one time use solution I. A oonch
This is genius!!! I'm gonna add these to thigh high socks!
This is genius!! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Wow, this is AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much!
Thanks for this video. A real life saver
Thank you for sharing this great idea. I didn't know that we can buy silicon like this. I would love to buy this for my bra.

Who knew that you could even do this? Amazing, thank you!❤️
This is awesome. Thanks.
This is so helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
If I wanted to do this for stockings would it stretch and provide grip?

Superb! 🙏

I have question. Can I put directly to the garment with the masking tape already align?
I haven't tried it like this but I think it would work
I was also wondering how well it washes? Will it stay on after washing? Thank you, I have been looking for something like this. 😊
it washes up pretty good... I think I was able to wash for a good year before the silicone started to peel off.
@@GreenstylePatterns great thank you. One more ?, do you think this would work on a bra band to keep it from riding up in the back? Thank you.
Same question. I always wanted to get silicon for bras because i hate it when it keeps moving to the top.
instead of water use rubbing alcohol
Is this silicone non-toxic? Is it safe on your skin?

@@christya2488 I meant Silicon as in bioavailable natural aka silicic acid or silicate.
@@christya2488 you’re right. I meant the naturally occurring one. I’ll correct the spelling mistake.

Can I do this for my tube top to keep it from falling or double sided tape? The I recently purchased doesn't have the clear plastic around the edge.
