Character assassination via the media and all that, same way they've been doing it since the printing press was invented. Don King is probably a freemason and probs had all kinds of connections with people in the media and could feed them info which would become disinfo. Even just corrupt reporters who would accept money from Don King (a very wealthy man). And Mike Tyson was having a bad time anyway as all people do when they are suddenly famous, getting into drugs and all that sh*t so he was easy to exploit by the vultures.

@@ThatawkwardmomentfulCelebrities are fair game for jokes, and Tyson was somewhat of an easy target with his soft voice, his accent, and his lisp. Especially when you contrast those attributes with his physical prowess and ferocity. I think part of the problem is that people took the caricatures and impressions comedians did of him as the real Tyson not being intelligent and articulate in real life. And this is in addition to the fact that people generally take athletes, and particularly black male athletes, to be less intelligent (hence the "dumb jock" stereotype).

I trained and fought out of the same boxing club Mike Tyson did in Catskill. Kevin Rooney trained me so I have a lot of love for Mike and the whole peek-a-boo style that Cus came up with it is very fierce and effective and as always worked well for me.
