So I’m about to go on a rant, lock in if you want or keep scrolling. I have spent over $300 on stubs this year. I have an addiction I know, but that has allowed me to collect 373 out of 400 season 1 cards. I know that makes me in a tier of only a few people who have spent that kind of money on the game but it’s what I enjoy doing. This program was absolutely nuts for us people who have the XP program finished and all of our collection bosses. I opened over 45 packs today full of diamonds and didn’t have to do a single moment for the recap program, because I just locked in cards for collections that I already had. This was a W for SDS because it helped everyone, those who were “behind” and those who just haven’t touched grass and have every card already. No joking I made 340k stubs in 10 minutes of the program dropping
This was one of the easiest programs to complete. I completed the first set of missions by playing 9 innings in play vs cpu. Went from being 20 cards short of getting the first collection reward and now I'm only 5 cards short of getting my second collection reward. Really appreciate that SDS is listening to the community.
As a family man, double xp weekends that are on major holidays are F'ING DUMB!!! How does SDS expect people to be able to grind without guys like getting shot in the face with Bazooka by his wife?
Today I brought my team overall from 92 to 95. I went from 330k xp to 475k xp, finished off literally all of the season award programs 1-8, and went from almost 120 season 1 cards to 165. Plus I pulled a Corey seager which let me buy the final player I needed for 95 palmeiro. It was a good day. I also happened to pull two 99s back to back from the season award packs from this program.
I know I'll be in the minority here but as someone who plays single player DD - this program was really great toward card collections. Without playing online vs others it's much harder to collect cards so being able to add 30+ cards in this program was awesome. I went from having just barely 200 to getting CC.
I had no idea new stuff was dropping today. I found out when i completed a game of conquest and was awarded like 10+ packs because i had done so much in the new drop. Nice feeling.
Yeah, this program is a must do... I pulled absolute dung on from the packs, but I got to unlock Willie Mays... At least I can enjoy him for a few days. I'm also close to 600 K stubs (no money spent, just sold everything), and ready to get Babe Ruth.
I appreciate this series. I appreciate that this can be done without having to spend money. Just know that it requires a lot of grinding. One tip I’d like to offer, get the Frank Thomas team captain card. That card absolutely takes, and it’s a core card so it will help when the new seasons begin.
When this came out I actually loaded a team full of Topps Now players working on the season rewards program, and after one conquest game I was done wit almost all 1/2 of those missions, For those who don’t have collections and want to just play, will be able to finish those missions in really quick
Absolutely loved the new program. Went from having 227 cards to 281 after buying that common pitcher pack, completing season awards week 9, and the new program. Also through all the XP from the packs in the program + grinding one conquest map, I gained over 100k xp in an hour or two
The recap prog was awesome for me, got some great pulls, and my stubbs from 0-90K, have 327 cards now. Live series still sucks, Texas is do-able, but Angels, Astros, Dodgers, and Braves still so expensive. Almost finished that Prog with just collections, and only played one game with my Subway team and finished it, frickin awesome.
Spent about 40K on cards & completed the program. Got CC, pulled Brooks Lee out of the random headliner player pack, got Goodrum out of classic 2 pack, got really lucky and pulled 99 Marte out of a SA pack, and got Skubal from a different SA pack. Great program, just wish it was released a couple weeks ago.
I got 100k+ xp and got two of the bosses. I went up from 170ish cards to 250ish, keep in mind I spent like 70k buying cards as well as the program. Idk if I will be able to get a season one collection boss but if i do I'm thinking about taking Paige
This program was a fair apology from SDS that they overshot their skis in collection expectancy and most likely, all the pack locked content they shoved down our throats this spring
This is my first ever MLB the show and 50% of the time it makes me wanna swan dive mouth wide open into a septic tank that hasn't been cleaned since the 60's and the other 50% of the time it fills me with a primal *oga-boga* level excitement and uncontrollable happy bubbles *Moan* that makes me de-evolve. Honestly so glad I’ve chosen to just focus on the Yankees theme team this year, just program xp doesn’t feel there this year and the collection is so beefy with pack players imo of course
This program is great. Best content they’ve done all year. Granted, I’m nms and I saved up stubs to buy a lot of the cheap cards that are in all the packs that were in the program. So I’m stuck with some dupes which sucks. But, it helped me a lot to get some cards I didn’t have and finally get not just 1 but 2 collection packs. So this was huge, and it helped my bother out to get 1 as well and he was further behind on that then me. So overall I think it was a nice dub for ppl and hope it’s a sign of good to come

Bunch of cards for season 1, only up to Leiter, but got a Ketel from an affinity vault pack, set ld him and then got him and elly from the no sell awards packs. Made some stubs on Ketel and then didnt have to spend to collect soke of those more expensive reward cards.
This was more of a course correction on their part buuuut hey, better late than never. The packs did help me gear up on some Stubs, and I got Marte and Cole in them. Not a fan of buxton cards so I doubt I’ll use him. I’m also really not digging the seasons thing. Idk if they should go backwards or try something different, but I’m a little pissed about having to start over.
I was up to Fingers on collections and dont have Seager yet. Completed Team infinity 1 and 2. I only had to play 3 vs CPU 9 inning games. I Finish both battle passes pretty fast.
If you havent done the Apple map yet do it theres a vault pack for finishing it, i did all the collection missions for the new program and one conquest game and finished it off in about 15 mins lol
Hey dimmu how do you pace the game so you don't get bored. I can play the game a lot at the beginning but I get bored during the season and fall behind just enough to be annoying. Any tips on how to pace the game?
My biggest issue is the daily XP cap. I got into it late and feel locked out of rewards because I couldn't play day 1? Idk exactly how it works but i kinda get why theres a cap. If its possible, they should look into a way to make the daily XP cap relative to how much XP you have compared to time remaining... meaning the earlier in the season has smaller daily caps while they progressively increase as the season goes on to give people a chance to catch up

I collected what I had which was all the programs and everything but Larry jimmy and Andy and the collection cards. Then did the showdown. The. Played one cpu game with subway series players and negro league players on the same team and it was done. Took like an hour total

Im at 224 cards after this program- have a job/family cant play as much as i would like or "have to" ive done all the programs, im just getting Seager now- ive missed 2 of the now 3 Double XP weekend- they honestly should be during the week or a full week worth. Unless they do this program again i wont be getting the 1st Season 1 Choice Pack- in years past ive always got at least 2 of the 3 bosses. This game starts feeling more like a job than an enjoyable game. There is still plenty they could do better, but I was worried that this year there would be no way to get the majority of cards they hid behind packs. I was wrong. This program was awesome for that. If they want to put a paywall on certain cards for a good chunk of the season, but then dole out a bunch of free packs at the end, I’m cool with that. People who “need” the card when they first come out can buy, people like me who mostly just want them for collection fodder, can wait. Both groups are happy. This was a big W for SDS!

Could I get some feed back here, I packed 94 diamond ohtani and I soled him bxuz he was 170 000 I bought ketel marte and other stuff. I'm already making progress on the mlb collection I did the rays and the oriels I've only been playing for 4 days. Should I have selled the ohtani. Mb for the whole essay.

I must have terrible eyes/ reaction time cause I ended up playing some ranked 750 last night and I literally could not see/ react to the pitch. I can play legend/hof offline but online is just too much delay or something. Anyone else go thru this?

This program was super easy, took me 4 or 5 play vs. cpu games The program also helped me go from 170 cards to 221.
I did the season one showdown on my first try easiest one going thru was Rollie Fingers I hit a home run on the second pitch to win the game.
This program got me George Brett and Mays so for me who missed some days and didn’t have time to play this was a good program
