Hey, do you have any contact details. I’m looking at possibly turning a 20x20 garage located in a back yard with possibly enough space to get a crane in beside it. Just wondering about costs and any contractors that were used for this.
Bummer - I was hoping to see a video where a crane had to lift a garage from the street down the driveway, with a fence on one side, to get to back of the house
Holes were cut in the roof. 2 each side. Then the chains were passed through and attached to temporary 'lifting beams" that we built into the roof earlier.
@@frameriteairdrie578 well hell, thats not bad at all. Was it difficult to set it up to enable to crane to lift it? I was looking into using a trailer to move my garage but this seems way more practical.
@@Luckingsworth Not too difficult. Took about 3 hours to prep it for the lift. As for the cost, I remember now this cost extra because they used a bigger crane.
@@frameriteairdrie578 Sorry to ask so many questions, did you consult an engineer prior to this? Or did you just do your own research+common sense on bracing the structure so it wouldn't flex when you moved it.
Good ol' H&H... I used to hire them when I framed in Calgary 1995 to 2007 or so. Best in the business!!
awesome video

What does the garage weigh? I am planning to move my 2 car garage and a crane would be perfect due to site restrictions.
How did you attach the slings to lift it ?

How much did it cost to hire a crane to move it?
Most cranes of this type are around $200 to $300 an hour.
