This is nice.. however the optional akrapovic exhaust design (also featured on the mt07) sounds and looks horrible... please do something like the system on the z900 :(
Ok.... I get the 650 a little bit. The ER6n is quite old and ugly as shit, so you want to get something out there that competes with the MT07 better and refines the ER6n.... But WHY Z900 also?!?!?! Kawasaki now has FIVE different Z models. Z650, Z800, Z800e, Z900 and Z1000. Why do you make an ER6n type bike if you already suited your z class for the same target audience by bringing out the z800e? And who needs the Z900?! You have an z800 and an z1000 already. The difference is 200cc, there was absolutely no need at all to fill that gap. But you do you Kawa, your bikes are awesome but this just doesn´t make sense at all...
It's not an iPhone, dude. Who cares what it's called so long as it's an improvement over their past naked 650. I own a '15 Er6n and really like this new model.
True, maybe it´'s a sales strategy, because I'd say most people who buy the z800e for their a2 license want to upgrade to the 900 as soon as they get their A license. Without the 900 no one would buy another kawasaki unless they want a hardcore nake like the z900.
I am SO mad at you kawasaki engineers. Why 650 doesnt have same front light as 300 (!) and 800? Does it even maky any sense? Those two have that supercute "mad bee" (or whatever you see in it) look and this is just another boring single lamp. Lets hope for 2018 model.... Otherwise it looks great of course.
i like this bike.. but i think kawasaki need to improve their game plan .. kawasaki should change their 650 cc engine with inline 4 cylinder engine like other brands because the engine sound is bad and bike need higher ground clearance for streets cause it meant for street not for race track.. and most importantly they have to change this headlight with a striking new looking z900 style... otherwise the bike isn't good enough... i want kawasaki to do these things on their bike.. many audiences are saying these things... make the bike more expensive but add these things..
a 4 cylinder engine will make the bike heavier and wider . twin cyl is the best compromise and they sound really good with an aftermarket exhaust even with a 180 deg crank.
Kawasaki nailed it. Obsessed with that Z pattern rear light and design.
Sat in one this week. The low seat and lightweight feel is EXCELLENT--for female riders. Love this bike.

MOTOFROST As I´ve said the 650 is understandable. But why the z900? Absolutely no point in that thing. The name doesn´t matter to me either.
I'm pretty sure they made the z900 as the succesor of the z800 because of the coming euro4 (fuel economy law for europe).
