- Going into fundamentals of HSR end-game, we tackle how builds and the different ways on how losing upgrades through "budgets" can severely cut your power level.
This video will show how each downgrade can result in a specific damage loss and how it applies to every other unit. With the power of math, we can assess how much DMG we lose by combining these upgrades, and the results are surprising.

* POST EDIT NOTES/CORRECTIONS *
1. I meant to say Clara for a 5% difference between F2P and Signature, Boothill's LC is a huge increase for him.
2. There are overall 41 available crit rolls you can go (including initial double CRIT). It is almost impossible to reach this, if you have only one CRIT sub that rolled 5 times on each piece it's 35. The 24 substats is a relatively realistic build due to resulting in a balanced 60/130 crit build or 70/110 without any crit traces.
More info for substats here: ruclips.net/video/_oBa2QBoDkY/видео.html
3. Again, I can't stress enough that there is no way for me to recommend to you accurately on how to spend your fuel with this info. The math gets extremely complicated that I can't give you a straight answer (for now).
However I made a video recommending websites for damage optimization/qol and research that is extremely helpful if you don't want to think about your builds.
Check it out: ruclips.net/video/dVJ3-Vjza7E/видео.html
Finally, someone who addresses the real issues without sugarcoating.
I generally don't need such advice, but will be subbing because having another math-inclined person to fall back on is nice.
By the way, are you considering doing rotation comparisons and other more practical TC stuff? I am not seeing anyone doing it on YT, so the niche is open. I would do it myself if I had motivation and a decent PC
(Didn't watch other vids yet, so I don't know if you're already doing it, just a friendly pointer you might consider interesting)
@@heiwanushiyasuda9092 i find that making rotation comparisons in the grand scheme doesnt matter that much unfortunately and i am a self admitted err rope shill lol. i would love to do more tc though, but i dont like focusing on just one character for my videos and prefer wide sweeping topics so i might do something related to rotations!
@@waveman047 lol. To clarify, I was referring to team rotations, not character ones.
Yeah, I would love to see more broad topics discussion. With my tendency to hyperfixate on one particular character or mechanic from time to time, I am prone to missing some stuff surrounding them
never undestood why people never leveled traces, its literally just stamina in exchange of a guaranteed damage increase, instead of relics, which are luck based and uncertain
"Hey gambling game players, why do you like gambling for large damage increases rather than slow steady guaranteed damage increases?"
First, when grinding relics you at least won't get broke every 10 minutes. I leveled Boothill's Talent and Skill to 10 a few days ago and ended up being *completely* broke (had 100 credits left). To anyone saying credits is non issue, fudge you, respectfully. Even battlepass wasn't enough. Also if your relics are horrendous, no matter how much you level up traces they won't do shit because, surprise surprise, traces scale off stats you increase with relics, and 200% of zero is still zero. Third thing is that a lot of ppl are from genshin and there leveling up to 10 is a very serious investment that ppl do only if they are really dedicated to that character (same with leveling character to max level). Level 8 is usually a good stopping point there.
@@KitnaMW On god what did you do to only have 100 credits.

I LOVE GAMBLING 🔥🔥🔥
Dr Veritas Ratio does, in fact, deal higher damage to YOU if your build sucks.
I asked AI Ratio what he thought of it, and this is what he said "Of course I would think them foolish, or rather, pitiful. If they couldn’t even use me correctly, then what was even the point? Besides, it’s not hard to build me. I’m a simple character, with simple needs. Any idiot could do it. I’d be completely and utterly baffled at how someone could manage to mess something so simple up."
Then I asked him again what he would say to the person with a terrible build, and he said “Are you really so dim-witted that you can’t even follow simple instructions? No, don’t answer that - you clearly cannot. I am amazed you even managed to level me up to this degree without utterly botching it up. How can one be so incredibly incompetent?”
@@DriedJizzSock Sounds about right. He's right too, Dr Ratio isn't rocket science unless you got neither Topaz nor Nihility.

The optimal way is leveling it all to 8 then farm a basic relic set were the character is balances then level all to 10 then farm a actually good set with 3 or more good substats
That's luck based
@@lostforever773 Only the last part? Level traces to 8 -> get a basic relic set -> level trace to 10 -> farm an ACTUAL relic set
@@Gojiradogzillagodzilla yeah, but farming twice ain't efficient and both is luck based
@@lostforever773 Except that you'll get a basic set while you farm for your main set anyways, and if you DONT plan on using that character before fully building them, just skip the basic set?
And it doesnt matter that its luck based, original comment only talked about the optimal way, which would be level traces to 8 -> farm relics (if you skip basic set, character now has skills level 8 and good relic set, and is good to use) -> traces to level 10, thats it.
Still luck based. Level everything to 10, then farm for relics.
It’s actually really encouraging how little lightcones impact the total dps. I’ve begun to roll on lc only if it proves to be a 20% increase to my acc
It really depends on the character. Some characters do really want their lightcones. Especially boothill, since atm at least theres no other hunt lightcones that give him break effect. Hopefully that changes in the future though
@@NotFromIntelligentSystemsit's probably gonna be gacha only and a similar BE only at S5 with no speed. At that point just get his signature.
@@NotFromIntelligentSystemsBoothill “wants” his LC but it is just overkill, what he really scales with is levels as break damage is drastically lower at 70/80 than 80/80. He really does not need his LC, obviously it is better clear wise but any other LC that gives Spd for more actions is also pretty valuable. If you also have to choose between his s1 or Ruan Mei, Ruan Mei is always the better option.
So while the value of his LC is high, it’s also being way too overvalued.
@@chadachi3970 (starts to turn over pages) Let's see, free 60% BE, 12% bonus speed (speed is exact same % as RM gives btw), plus Break damage ignores 20% of def.... And what do we have as alternatives? Adversary? Yes, very overrated indeed /s
I mean sure, choosing S1 over RM is weird (unless you hate RM like I do), but Boothill WANTS his LC, and it's not an overkill at all, especially considering how fudging beefy are enemies nowadays. Denying it is just as stupid as saying that he's unplayable without his LC, just on a different spectrum.
@@KitnaMW It's overrated because without an LC at all and going tank Boothill he is still destroying content, meaning he does not need his s1 at all.
I'm not saying it isn't good, but it is entirely unnecessary when other things impact his performance more. There will be a future BE LC for Hunt so the only reason anyone should go for it is if they're going to stick to him for a long period of time as it has no real use on any other Hunt character except for Sushang, which again eventually there will be a BE 4* LC.
Acting as if Adversarial isn't good because "it's a 3*" is a good meme, because the base stats do not matter at all for anything and Spd is the next best stat you can get for him. He deletes things while running HP/Spd/HP/BE main stats and no LC, I don't think it's a big deal that it requires him to kill something first to get the buff.
Would it be great if there was a 4* BE alternative? Obviously, but not for him, mainly for Sushang in SB teams. Boothill is perfectly content with running lvl 1 3* Spd LC lol

Awesome video man, it's really surprising how much little investments cuts can hinder your damage. I'd love to see calcs made also for other characters, I feel like there's a general lack of content regarding investment levels (which is something that players looking to get their first 36 stars in MoC would greatly benefit from)
Just max your traces 10/10/10 before you even try minmaxing your relics
i'd say allow people to go for something 60cr/120 cdmg before 10/10/10, otherwise the entire time you're using topaz for example is ass until you 10/10/10 and then get shoved anyways since your relic luck is aids (what this totally isnt personal experience)
10/10/10 every character, imo is how you lose resources quickly. Personally, I'd recommend doing level, light cone, traces 8/8/8 and then relics. After that based on trace priority level 10 the ones with the highest and second highest priority. Auto except for certain characters, isn't good to level though
@@haridevrajesh7426yeah my cut off is usually 8/8/8 but I usually level the other trace passives stuff before I max the skills and stuff, since they become so expensive
@@haridevrajesh7426 Lvling traces from 8-10 took almost twice the mats and money compared to lvling from 1-8 lmao. And you dont have to have perfect 6/10/10/10 with bajillion cv just to clear moc anyway.
@@haridevrajesh7426 As someone who has over 20 characters level 80 with 10/10/10 traces and lvl 80 LC and almost every character lvl 70 ascended with 7/7/7 traces with lvl 70 ascended LC I can agree that your resources go poof. Only thing keeping me going is that I bought every single battle pass since release 😅
Fantastic video you have here. It all almost seems obvious, but you comparing everything including signature light cone really helped put things into perspective. I think an issue people tend to have is they try to level multiple characters at once, which isn’t inherently bad, but can lead to you basically not leveling anyone almost at all. Thank you for the time you put into this video.
For me, I always Lvl up any characters to 60, then Lvl up all Traces that you can get.
Then after that farming to leveling LC and get average relics build.
If I love a characters then I would start to Lvl up them to 80, and maxing their traces after that, next maxing their LC, and then finally relics.
I'm F2P, I have all 4* characters, and all my characters now sit at Lvl 80 with most traces in a mac state on lvl 60 (probably 4/6/6??)
The one that got to 10/10/10 till now only Seele, Jingliu, Kafka, and Acheron.
IMO, leveling all characters to 80 isn't bad, just don't max their traces, cause it's good for permanent content.
But trying to build all characters you have to max lvl max traces and minmaxing relics is not a good thing. Probably best to build a good average team of 8 characters
Most of my lvl 80 4* characters doesn't have any relics equipped or LC.
@@TheMattVisthen what is the point of levelling 4* characters to 80 if you don't use it?

Very useful video! Great format and explanations, for me personally, I've been doing most of these already (but my relic luck still sucks so it isn't doing as much if I got better relics) and about the sig lightcones, I do admit that getting personal LC are a big damage boosts especially for dps units, but its just not my style, I like playing for the characters and getting them everything else exept their sig LC, (Although I am still waiting for reruns of Dr. Ratio, Blackswan, Jingyuan (LC for qingque) just for the LC because I like them a lot)
this video is very helpful thank you, it explains a lot of why some of my characters' teams do so much better than others!
Thank you for making this. I think this'll be much more digestible for people than me giving a rundown wall of text style the way I've had too thus far.
Super helpful video. It's hard to believe that a lot of small corner cuts would add up to so much damage loss unless it's laid out like this
Great video, the amount of damage loss is far worse than I expected. You surely helped my account cuz from now I'll max them all.
Thank you for this, I've struggled with endgame a lot with my talents at only medium levels and levels at 70 and I've wondered what to focus on to deal more damage. I'll definitely be considering this!
as a perspn who came in from genshin, i always underestimated leveling my traces, this opened my eyes to potential damage im losing by not leveling them

Amazing resource Sir Ytuber! Ive been looking for a nice easy to understand representation of where my damage lacks (RAHAHAHA FINALLY I CAN REMOVE 10mg OF COPIUM FROM MY DPS MARCH 7TH BUILD)
Thank you for scaring me into leveling my traces 😭💖
I use the HSR Seelie site planner to pre-farm my traces and resources, so I know how many I need to 10/10/10 them, ascend them, etc... after all the guaranteed upgrades I start farming relics, and not before.
IME the BiS Planars (Salsotto) _with_ some good substats on Ratio are what finally made him click for me. I don't have a full set of Pioneer on him yet but the 2pc Archduke set does provide a fairly good increase in damage.
Damn...I thought I could finally stop farming materials, but guess there is no escape...
Very nice guide. I'm a new player, and most of my damage loss was coming from not unlocking traces. It's gonna be long-winded, but I'm gonna level everyone I have up first and then grind for good relics.
Good video, the conclusion is exactly the right one.
The idea of building a character is to slowly but surely push all the improvement slots to the maximum.
Some people argue it's problematic to max out all traces, but I don't think they're seeing the issue in their argument.
We're talking about reaching a character's ceiling, a gradual increase in every variable the character offers and not maxing out one variable and leaving the rest in a corner-which may not be in your interest depending on whether you care more about horizontal or vertical investment.
This explains a lot. Even in genshin, I keep some characters at lvl 70, and forget about traces a lot.
Babe, please come back! Im 2 months clean of relic farming
I would like to see your version of a Blade guide you give information I need without being biased and give straight fact. Because I need a better understanding on how to maximize my Stellaron Hunter
ooooh so that's why I saw a dmg increase when i switched to pioneer set. Very useful info XD. Its good to know that even if no signature lightcone is a loss, it's not as bad as underleveled traces. Does anyone happen to know if Topaz's lc is better on ratio though?
4-5% worse than his LC
Thanks, very good video. Sadly, I cant do anything about Signature LC since that cost actual $$$. Boothill LC cost me USD41.33.
And relics is just plain RNG. So I can only make sure level 80, LC level 80, important traces at 10 and use whatever relics that I is decent.
This is all true except sig LCs are not $$$, you can get them as f2p (I have 2 myself) - (in fact you’re actually more likely to win your LC 50/50 than your character 50/50)
Obv you don’t have to wish for LCs if you don’t want too still
@@DeIuIuu Nice, ok, I will start to save for sig LC. Lucky, dont have any new units I want for many patches so I can finally get a sig LC for Sushang.
@@DeIuIuu The lightcone odds are 75/25 in your favour!
LC are in fact easier to get than characters, since the pity is lower, 10 lower to be exact, it's not a 50/50 but yes a 75/25, and the odds are higher than character banner.
I have way too many 5* LCs for a f2p tbh, but I am also running a challenge account so I don't pull for as many characters.
Wdym "LC cost actual money?" Pulling LC requires normal pulls.
I just spent the last month or so leveling everyone's talents to 10, mostly all my dps and sub dps and supports. There was definitely a noticeable improvement after i went from 8 to 10. Next is improving their relics. And start to get the signature light cones for those that really need it. If i can stop pulling on characters that is lol
Is it possible for you to share that spreadsheet?
I could never find what was a “good” or reasonable stopping point for traces. I came to own conclusion of doing 9/8/7 but given the resources it demands I actually wanted to change it to 8/7/6 😭
It really depends on the character I suppose. On most characters, you can get away with 8/8/8 traces. For 4 stars specifically, it's better to have them at level 10 (eidolon helps to achieve this). The question is more often than not becomes: "Do you need higher level than 8 in this trace?". This is an important thing to consider because trace from lv7-10 gives out more power increase (about 25% more) than from lv1-6.
More often than not, a non-ultimate trace becomes 2x more effective at lv10 compared to lv1, the increase from level 7-10 is 12.5% of lv10 compared to 10% of level 1-6. Therefore, levelling up your Trace from level 8 (175% of lv1) to 10 (200% of lv1) gives you around ~14% more power. However, the costs of levelling up the trace becomes consierably high for level 9 and moreso at 10. Therefore, the trace you should level 10 is the trace that gives out the the most return. On Clara and Dr. Ratio, levelling up the Talent is definitely the higher priority, and on Acheron her ultimate.
You also need to consider how much impactful the trace is to the character. A DEF trace passive for a DPS character might not be the best investment, so you can get away not levelling it up.
This is very good and helpful vid. Commenting to support. Minor note, I believe with Pela Ratio LC should be much more diff than 11%?
no, i even considered pelas def shred to have 100% uptime and its still only 11%
Yeah ive been starting to internalize this that, yes I do indeed need my traces to be maxed to do the DPS i *should* be seeing. Especially on my supports
how much damage loss if my dr ratio is using wastelander set rather than pioneer set? my dr ratio is currently at 70/210 on wastelander and I feel like its gonna take a _looooooong_ time before I could get the same stats when I switch to pioneer so I'm hesitant to even try.
a very low amount, 3%. so as long as your current wastelander has 3 more crit subs than your current pioneer theres no need to switch at all.
@@waveman047 neat. thanks.
If the Body piece is Crit Rate main, you're good
I typically level 1 or two traces to level 10 (depends on what is important in their kit) and the rest to 8 (and 1 on basic), but im also just a trace fanatic so i might spent a little too much time in the trace mines 😅
The only corner cut I do are signature weapon and relic substat...
Now do this with acheron, since there's so many thing we could talk about with 2 debuffer, especially without the light cones.
The -1 ult energy passive thing (idk what to call them) is so much loss of damage, like maybe a 1 or 2 turn of ult rotation.
Great explanation of the numbers at play here, but I feel like you just spent 11 minutes saying a completely built character with excellent gear will do more damage than one who isn’t.
Yeah, bit of a pointless video imo.
Plus, "low damage" is always variable. If my JL hits for 350k I'll think she's dealing YUGE damage, but if my Acheron deals 500k I'll think her damage is pretty low.
Overall thought there was gonna be some interesting theorycrafting on this video but left a bit disappointed.
Thanks. It's really frustrated me that my dot team deal more damage than my ratio team.
i always see ppl leaving traces at like 8/8/8 and basic 1 esp for supports and i've never understood why bc i noticed when actually level everything basic included to max level it takes significantly less time to clear bc of this most of the characters i use have maxed traces esp the limited 5* with my only character not maxed is fu xuan bc i just got her (yes i'm already using her despite that and she's helping a lot more than expected already) my relics could still be better tho and i only have 1 character at s1 currently
My build priority for pretty much every characrer is: Level (A5 or A6) > LC (lvl 70 or 80) ≥ Traces (at least lvl 8 for necessary traces) >> Relics & Ornaments. The only change I'd make is farming a temporary set (main stats only) they can use if I really want to use them immediately. This is a style of building I've adopted from playing Genshin, and it's always worked out for me.
I aim for 5-cycle investment in order to start working on a different character as early as possible and have variety, so I can give some advice on efficient "corner-cutting".
Never skip max level, it's not hard to get and every formula for damage dealt and taken includes level difference between attacker and target. Get a usable relic set and traces to level 8, the clear most valuable damage source from the character you can put at 9 or 10, same goes for supports (4 stars can usually stay at 8 because the eidolons push it to 10). Wait until the double drop events to go any further on traces, they're common enough.
Spend everything else on the relics you want to improve, because you can get useful pieces for other characters in the process too. Relics are a game of numbers, the less power you invest on it the luckier you'll have to get. Lightcones are relatively cheap and should be maxed too because lower base stats will diminish the percentage you gain from relics, but they can stay at 70 if absolutely necessary. Consider what free options you already have access to when it comes to pulling for signature lightcones, as well as the 4 star cones on the banner. Never go for eidolons unless you're paying for it, they're just luxury and some will remove gameplay aspects, don't give in to peer pressure inside the community. This should only be disregarded if you don't care about the future and really like the character, otherwise it's a mistake.
With these pointers any account should be ready for whatever the devs throw at it.
The traces thing is too true. My Jingliu was always my hardest hitter, even without a premium team like my other ones. Now I realize it's because she's my only unit with pretty much maxed traces.
I think my biggest hurdle is just how tedious farming trace mats is. Going through 6 battles for not even one level at higher trace levels is boredom inducing. I think that's the main reason people neglect their trace levels, and getting stuff to level characters up to 80 is even worse.
I wonder sometimes about the impact +12 relics lose versus +15 relics
i feel so bad that im a day 1 hsr player but i still cant clear moc 12 even though i have thousands of power into my relics thanks man
Thank you 🙌 My Doctor does horrible damage, but I really want him to stay on my team
As someone who enjoys a VERY slow and step by step progression of my characters (Trailblaze Level just reached 65 at the end of Penacony, so i keep them at Lvl.65, like in a traditional RPG in a way. Epic 45 min. boss fights !), i am reaching the point where looking at the end game modes is appealing... and somewhat discouraging !
Now i have a better idea of how this works and what to focus on moving forward. Thanks for the video !
Quick question - does the 21 crit subs take the initial one into account or only the rolls post lv0 4stat?
I think the "default value" rate you would have assuming no LC increase, no main or substats, and only some traces, would sit somewhere around 18 to 20%, 13 if trace levels are low...
The base substat counts as a roll. An initially 5-line 5-star relic with 5 increases to flat HP that has both crit damage and crit rate would count as having 2 crit subs.
should i get fu xuan sig or texture of memories is good enough or landau choice or trend of universal market. what is her best other than sig and is sig that important for her. im building pity and not sure should i continue to get cause currently 0 pulls and want ruan mei and her sig then jade also KAFKA for bs. so not sure. why support need to be high trace if they arent the dmg dealer and their utility isnt from all tracers like pela. i felt this, i struggled with the sunday boss and my team was level 60 the ratio ipc team, but i got tired and upgrade aventurine and topaz and ratio to level 70, not even tracers then BOOM, the boss was so easy. it was just a def and atk increase but it did A LOT
If you have the pulls, you should go for Fu Xuan's signature. IMO you should really use Trend for Acheron teams first and foremost, but it depends if you need more sustain or are willing to sacrifice a little sustain for the Burn. If the enemy resists or is immune to Burn, there's no point
Seeing a few comments about traces so I just wanna let people know about Star Rail Station. This can help you see what mats you need to fully build a character and help you plan out what to do daily for your characters. It may seem overwhelming at first but once you realize things like: the fact that you can fully ascend a 5 star character to level 80 in 2 days (as long as you have the exp mats) then it's not so bad. I think this is the one thing that helped me fully max out my characters (not that you have to), so if you're overwhelmed give it a try!
But how do I win 50/50 so I can afford signature lightcone?
1:37 Tingyun with DDD S1+E1+4p hackerspace will be enough for a 106 speed Ratio have effective 134 speed, therefore speed boots on Ratio is redundant and a dps loss.
I could make a entire essay about why 134 is a bait, but someone in kqm already did that. The name of the doc is "134 SPD is a social construct" and i recommend everyone who want's to understand speed better to reaid it.
not having 4p hackerspace would increase Ratio speed reqs to 113, but having S5 DDD would decrease it back to 107 speed. Having S5 DDD, E1 TIngyun and 4p hackerspace makes any character with 101 base speed able to have 134 with no speed procs at all.
and at last but not least, this is all assuming you are 0 cycling, because what matters isn't having 2 turns in 0 cycles, is having 4 turns over the entire wave and both 114 and 134 will only have 4 turns in a 350 AV wave, i won't extend this further since as i said: someone on kqm already did that.
coincidentally this is my next video topic and id like to respond in that video instead but youre right 134 spd is a trap.
though i cant say someone will have any superimpositions of ddd is fairly realistic either (after all, i dont on na), thats why i just slapped on s5 cogs. im not going to debate on the math, if we were going to start at actual 24 crit substats thats a whole 3% difference that makes relic substat cutting not as bad.
idk, my tingyun has all of that (and s5 ddd) and i found i cleared way faster and comfier with 134 spd ratio

building both at the same time isnt a bad idea, the number of characters matter more. 8-10 focused characters that mesh well is usually good enough to not be spread thin in resources, that depends on how universal a team is though.
That’s what I did. I maxed a team. Then every so often I started working on another character. Now I have options.
2:28 honestly, it is
Had to build a couple of new characters recently and was scraping everything for every last droplet of lc exp the whole time, as many events don't give it, dailies don't give it, and stamina I'd rather use on farming traces materials
The game is way less generous with it than with characters exp for some reason
Genshin has it so much better with weapon exp being craftable
I only have one signature light cone and it's Acheron's. I've had almost ZERO luck with light cones so I'm pretty much never going to meet my characters' max potential. And I don't have money to roll eidolons so all of my 5-star characters are going to lose those bonuses.
Guys how much crit dmg and crit rate should a good Ratio have? Around 160 crit dmg?
a total of 20-24 subs with balanced crit (at least 70 cr in battle for consistency) is reasonable enough for all forms of content.
70/160 outside of battle is really good, inside is a little low but not bricked.
100cr after all buffs for ratio is the one that matters
100crit rate to 200crit damage (with self buffs) is the ultimate goal, so 85/170, is a pretty good Dr Ratio
it costs so much resin though 😭
I had resin overflow at 2400 and I frmed a bit, before I knew it I was at 1400, or 700
rn a good few of my chars (like 4) are level 60, and im prioritizing artifacts because well stats > talents (genius plays)
what's the best way to go about this tho
IMO you should always go for the safe investment, which is traces and levels, and relics should be the last thing, bcs the first are guaranteed while you can use all that TB power and get absolutely nothing good if you farm relics
How come your lowest da,age possible is like 300k when my highest damage never reaches 6 digits? I don't understand these numbers.
super break
I’m level 45 and I’m stuck in the luofu. All my characters(Clara,Herta,Bronya, and Bailu) are all level 60,mostly 6 talents(Herta is e3) and level 50 lightcones. What should I do to get my characters stronger, so I can defeat enemies in the luofu? Not sure what I’m doing wrong 😑
Probably a bad team comp. Bronya is bad with both Clara and Herta.
@@LucasGomes-ng2go any alternatives I can use?
@Gab-tc2mr if you have her, pela, she's one of the best debuffing units in the game.
this is phenomenal. i never realized the impact that all these changes could make. i'd love to see this kind of video for the character variations that you mentioned (e.g. characters without a lot of self buffs, break characters) to put those in perspective too or even supports (same dps build, support build changes), but i understand if those would take too much time or effort. amazing video!
Pinoy? Btw it wouldve been better if vid quality is set up to 1020p. It'll make the video more pleasant and natural to the eyes.
Wydm Boots sig LC doesn't matter? 😭I've seen twice the dmg I was doing by just pulling it
i meant to say clara, wrong physical unit lmao
@@waveman047 Oh that makes sense 😭🤣
Time to go max my supports i guess, just been doing 8
and if my dps is just killed in action
Personally, for traces, I keep my characters at Lv.8 traces since I started playing in 1.2. These days, I have enough resources to level their most important traces to max to give them a little bit more power. I can even max out some characters' traces but I won't, IMO max traces just isn't worth the cost when I can clear content decently well even with Lv.8 traces.
Maybe if you're a mid to endgame player, I can suggest maxing out traces if you're having a hard time beating MoC or Swarm Disaster but for newbies, I definitely suggest keeping them at Lv.8 for the time being. Lv.9 & Lv.10 traces costs more than it took to get Lv.1-Lv.8 so you're better off spending those resources on other traces and characters.
my trailblaze power can’t take this vro
I hate farming crit stats. I've farmed the Pioneer relic set for like four months straight since it released, levelled 5 different sets of double crit stat pieces, and in the end I was only able to get my Acheron an acceptable crit ratio of about 70/160 (including the crit damage from her signature light cone and traces). I gave the extra sets to other characters, and they only landed at like 60/90 ratios. Fucking miserable. It took me like a month of relic farming to gear up three of my DoT characters with relics that have almost no room for improvement. Any character that needs to crit needs too many substats. I don't think I'll farm crit stats again for any character after Acheron. Hopefully break teams will be fine without it. In Genshin I've never gotten any character to anything better than a 60/120 crit ratio. I just don't have the fortitude to spend the amount of time others do on farming that stat.
i get u bc the only way i get my units good builds is thru daily farming + crafting using the bad relics. been farming for my acheron since the release of 2.0, and i'm still not happy with the stats i've bc i would love to get a bit more crit rate and it hasnt been possible
At one point, they make it way too obvious that crit rolls are rigged to fail. They need to stop.
run rainbow sets
Meanwhile me here who lack dhil dmg even at max traces.
I guess tingyun lvl8 ult and skill is the dmg loss
My Ratio has 2750 atk, 132 spd, 202 crit damage, 69.7 crit rate, S2 Cruising, 10/10/10 and yet my ratio can barely do 80k.. ill wait and save for his sig lc i guess
i feel like this would be better if it didn't include things like the lightcone
Think there's 20/80 rule application relevant here, like you are much better off unlocking all the passive traces as well as getting everything (unless something like attack is completely irrelevant as healer for example) to 8/10 ranks, getting +75 on character, +70 on lightcone and then starting to gamble for those relics. Sadly when it comes to relics my luck is godawful and I never reach the perfect builds that guide sites like Prydwen talk about :( so most times even though I am content-ish with my damage dealers, I always feel slightly underwhelmed by not reaching the PEAK that you can see in most youtube videos even without eidolons.
Very good video though. I just came back to HSR after months because of ZZZ (sigh) and while I can still clear content respectably decent, knowing that my old go-to supports like Tingyun/Bronya are basically superseded by absolute powerhouses like Ruan Mei and Robin is a bit sad haha.
I have 2 friends that leave their traces at 6-8 and just farm for relics for weeks whereas they could just max a character in a week and do more dmg.
Expect my dhil with sparkle can’t break 100k😭 (I have maxed traces)
i firmly believe that 4pc gives some extra stats because some 2pc+2pc set bonuses v 4pc ones on paper gives only a few extra substats, but somehow 4pc gives way more damage
yes i believe in conspiracy
Don’t call me out, I’m long overdue on maxing my traces on my go-to teams 😂
Ooh im.. im a bit too stupid to get this but ill pretend to know and watch it anyways, thanks!
Okay never mind, gotta farm relics got it... 😭 those suck so much nooo
@@Boon_4444 I recommend traces before relics
You say that but traces especially level 10 are very expensive and for new players at least for me farming relics gave me a huge damage boost compared to upgrading traces.
I think the factor in here is the RNG w/ relics. We never know when we get good relics, it might take 1 day. It might take 60.
I have been farming the Quantum domain for Xueyi for 3 months with no good relics yet.
@SM-oc4rc I want to build Xueyi too. I guess I won't do it anymore
this is the reason why its under research as of now and why i explicately said i cant give you efficiency advice with this data.
it is reasonable to assume that 10 crit substats is about as expensive as maxed traces, but the relics are not guaranteed and anybody can reasonably say that theyve also wasted multiple fuel they could have maxed traces 5 characters with for a measly unguaranteed 10 substats.
personally i go with feelscrafting and stick to 8/8/8 and get bottom line relics (70/130) ratio before maxing traces again, but in cold hard evidence its still being mathed out atm.
@waveman047 that's what I meant yeah. I didn't mean getting perfect relics which could take months or even more. Imo getting to 8 on traces then going for relics to at least get the 60/120 then go to the next character, After I finish my two teams then I'll go back to traces. I'm f2p and thus is what I'm doing. Btw can you explain to me how to get those crazy amount of break effects on characters like ruan mei(180) or hmc (200+) without using a break effect rope cause er is necessary for these ch1racters from what I understand.
unfortunately its either "you have god be rolls and using be sets" or "pull memories of the past copies or ruan mei sig", outside of gallagher and nihility lc users its unreasonably difficult to do that.
Solid content ❤ sub won 🎉
waveman: "Relic sets are a 22% dmg loss"
Me farming Eagle for my supports while most of my DPS are passing around rainbow pieces that get them as close to 100/200 as possible: "But 160 speed Eagle Pela tho"
5% for boothill without siganture cone??? have u really checked him? its around a 30% increase having his cone
i meant clara, wrong physical unit
@@waveman047 oh that makes sense
I’m 100% guilty to this. That said… man sometimes I just cba to build certain parts of some characters.
My E0S1 Jing Yuan is missing out on almost 200% dmg NO WAY
(had him since 1.0)(dw literally all my other limited DPSs(Kafka) are actually well built)
i WILL be building him after this just to see how good he is now
Did you build him?
builds confused me sm, sometimes my Boothill does 5k then he does 28k then 10k like okay ?? how?? what??
That’s probably less due to your specific builds and more have to do with buffs and debuffs your characters apply. A good build will increase your dmg in all scenarios anyways.
@@taejoonkim5122 yes that's what i realized after playing more, i've only started a month ago so i didn't knew much
This actually opened my eyes... kinda feeling ashamed as a hardcore player now
