Because of the geographical proximity and rich historical connection, I found Turkish and Greek music very similar. We can prove this theory with many Turkish songs translated in to the Greek music scene and vice a versa. Of course Turkey is a large country and music and culture let’s say in North east is different comparing to Aegean coast music and culture. But as a Turkish citizen who lives in Aegean coastline and within an environment in which people from different backgrounds live together, Marina’s music reminded me good old days.
