As a mid handicap golfer, I must admit in love with your bag setup on wedges and putter and ball. I love the way you are brimming with confidence when speaking about your irons. I wanna see you progress to a low handicap soon.
You caught my attention with the one length in the bag, I'm interested in how that plays out. Your course conditions and weather are the same for us, I'm looking forward to see how this setup works for you.
@@ivantheterriblegolfer thank you, I am a 14 handicap and have a fitting scheduled but wasnt sure if they were to advanced for my handicap. Any thoughts from your experience?
@@nicklasalle1889 I’m like a 21 handicap I hit them much better than my G425s I have a tendency to close face too much so I like having less offset. Forgiveness I don’t notice a difference. I hit them off toe and square and they still go and stay pretty straight. I would def give them a go in your fitting. I bet you can game any “players iron” well.
Great video, I noticed you have something on the end of your Driver and Im assuming thats something to keep your grips from smacking the bottom of your bag or on the ground?
@@ivantheterriblegolfer the I230 is a great iron for so many golfers. i bought a set and hit them consistently straight. even went with the retro version weaker lofts
@@cwugrad396 I might have lost a smidge of distance with 5 or 6i Everything else has been same or better than the strong lofts of G425 Ping i230 Players Iron. Can High Handicap Golfer game them?? ruclips.net/video/8XdUh7ui7HU/видео.html
Great set-up and agree about your sentiment about High-handicappers and GI irons.
Thanks man. Appreciate it!

Thanks Mike! I hope I can progress like that!
Nice setup! Not sure what part of OK you are in but man when it springs up you should play Winter Creek in Blanchard.
Thanks!
I’m definitely planning to this yr!

I haven’t played it off the tee yet.
Hit some decent shots from fairway with it.
I’m anxious to hit off the tee. Hope it’s a weapon!
Any new feedback on the i230’s???
Love em!
No sudden fliers like u get with game improvement irons (my old G425s) when you square it up well
I feel like they’re straighter as well

WIll be cool to see if your strokes gained with Irons improves with the change from G425 to i230!
Not sure I know how to calculate that (lol), but I’ve had a few decent rounds in a row. Hope they keep getting better!
@@ivantheterriblegolfer If you use a shot tracking system, it'll do it automatically for you

I just use my Garmin watch to track. It doesn’t do strokes gained. Would be cool if it did…
I saw on another comment you've lost distance with the 5&6 irons have you thought of going with a combo set. Put in your g425 5&6 irons
I think maybe a loss of 5 yds ish
But I’m hitting the i230s higher and straighter and still gapped well. So I like that :)

No my grips can slap all they want to bro
It’s a sensor for my Garmin watch.
It knows when I hit driver during a round
how high is your handicap? nice set up
Thanks!
I’m currently a 24 (was 20.8 to start 2022)
Goal is to get under 20 this year.
