i play these irons.... long, straight, reliable ,very neutral, forged face.

At 65 just bought a new set of clubs. I had a choice to spend eight to $1200 on a high rated iron set or $200 on a complete iron set of ping eye 2 black dot copper for $200. What do you think I did? Yep I went with the ping eye 2 copper. They are great.

Have an early set of Beryllium Coppers with graphite shafts.

I’m still playing a 30 year old Hogan Apex 5 irons. 🤷‍♂️. I only uprade woods as they’ve made bigger improvements. Besides, I don’t care that modern 8 irons go further, but in reality, they are lofted two clubs stronger.

Just tried this after watching your video. Took out the standard 25g out of the heel and put two weights - a 13 and an 11g in the outer ports. It’s turned the club into an absolute monster that breeds confidence off the tee. Thanks for sharing pal

I had the Hogan Apex irons in high school. I graduated in 76. What a throwback!

Using a set of old Snake Eyes FMC-1's that came out in 2003! I love them. I own Taylormade P 790's. I own Mizuno JPX 923 Hotmetal's. I own Srixon ZX5's. I still prefer the old Snake Eyes. Plus, nobody else has them! 😉

I had a set of Ben Hogan Apex irons around 30 years ago. They were really good clubs. Now i have a set of 6 year old Titliest MB

Back in the early 70's just for you kids out there the two shafts that were highly sought after by tour players and good amateurs were ZZlite by Ping and Hogan Apex especially in woods. Graphite came and got dumped very quickly to inconsistent especially in irons ! Many years later they dragged it back to cope with the bigger heads (another story) but the ZZlite and TT Lite much the same, that is why Pings still are great today he knew what shfts to use ! So did Hogan !

Back golfing after a 20 year break. Rubbish dump find set of irons, Biggest big bertha (2004) driver from same with a pro force gold 65 shaft. Swing not great, 285yds best drive on an uphill elevation hole this week with the BBB - A1 position on fairway. I won't be "upgrading" to a new driver anytime soon. Those things still smoke! Great video too

I did the same thing with my M1, bought a heavier weight and put the 2 heaviest weights in the back. It does help!

Gamed the ping 10k most of this year. Really a great driver. However , switched to the triple diamond max. Which i never liked Callaway drivers until this specific model

Started hitting my old TM RAC os irons left of target …..was considering Qi for a replacement to my about 20 yr old clubs , but left of flag instead of right with a hard slice has wondering if i should skip game improvement category and go with a distance player like p790 .__

I have a complete set (1-LW) of first run Beryllium copper Eye2's that I bought new in 1983,,,, and play them regularly... they are the GOAT of the golf irons....
