Here are the 12 principles for becoming oversubscribed...
00:37 - 1. Only Oversubscribed Businesses Make a Profit: This principle highlights the importance of being in demand to achieve a profitable business, much like how the stock market works.
01:56 - 2. Your People Are the Only Ones That Matter: Treat buyers as individuals with unique needs and values, moving them from being part of the market to being part of your market.
02:35 - 3. First, You Make Your Market; Then, Make Your Sales: This means building an audience of people who are interested in solving a particular problem. You can do this using a waitlist and showcasing your products or services through innovative marketing strategies and campaigns before focusing on sales.
03:33 - 4. Meeting People Where They Are: This principle is about connecting with potential customers by understanding their values and aligning your products or services accordingly.
04:54 - 5. People Buy When The Conditions Are Right: Combine logic, emotion, and the fear of missing out to create compelling reasons for customers to buy.
05:51 - 6. People Buy What Others Want to Buy: Show that your product is in demand. Social proof and transparency about your product's demand will increase its appeal.
06:59 - 7. People Don't Spend Big Money on Small Problems: Position your business as a solution to significant problems to highlight why you charge a higher fee.
08:27 - 8. People Are Not Proactive: It's not your audience's responsibility to buy from you. It's yours. Take ownership of the sales process as customers are unlikely to take the first step on their own.
11:11 - 9. The Power Is In The Ecosystems: Develop complementary products or services that solve customer problems and create an ecosystem around your offering.
13:08 - 10. Remarkable budgets beat marketing budgets: Allocating budgets to make your product or service significantly stand out in its market.
14:25 - 11. Set Your own rules: Establish a unique selling proposition and set clear rules for your customers that align with your company's values. Don't be afraid to be different.
16:51 - 12. Business is a Team Sport: Business success is a team effort, and it's important to high people to come along for the ride. You cannot do this alone.
These principles provide a roadmap for businesses to achieve the state of being oversubscribed, where demand exceeds supply, enhancing profitability and success.

The concept of creating an ecosystem around your offering is spot on. To add to that, consider leveraging strategic partnerships to expand your ecosystem's reach. By collaborating with businesses that share your target market but aren't direct competitors, you can tap into new audiences and add more value to your clients.

During Covid, our business boomed - people had time and government money to spend on refreshing their websites and branding. We experienced what it meant to be oversubscribed. Since then we have continued to create demand by booking projects into the financial quarters of the year. If we've been talking with a client about building a new website, we impress upon them that they need to book into the current or next financial quarter, so we give each client the attention they deserve and the job doesn't drag out or cause bottle necking with other projects. This also helps with our projections as well as creating demand. So, we put out messaging about the quarters opening and closing, creating urgency to choose a quarter and book.

He's right. Those businesses have customers "applying" to work with them and not just a marketing tactic. That's the ideal end game for most businesses.

Daniel your content is so full of value. Thank you. I love your insights on constraint... it seems obvious and yet most of us see reduced / constrained working hours (eg because of caring / family duties!) as a negative because that's how we're conditioned. Your example really reframed this for me.

3 years I've worked tirelessly on developing my skills in high end web and graphic design. There were missinv pieces to the puzzle. About to release the design agency to our chosen, or, created i should say, market.
I know he gets more opportunities coming content be produces. But cannot thank this man enough for teaching me so much in such a short space of time. marketing and branding strategies through his books, the content he produces, his amazing work with The Futur. The wisdom and knowledge this guy has is just incredible. And the way he contextualise's it all. You can't not be successful if you follow his instructions and guidance. If i could only learn from one human and business depended on it, unquestionably, this man. 🙏🏼

THis is the first vid i've watched! A couple of these really resonated with me. The nail... absolutely golden. The last is the small team setup. We didn't do this at the start of our business. We were the innovators of a particular technology in Australia. No one else could get this product work. We had a shot time to educate our market and take a market share.... it took too long for us to do this and it's really hampered our growth. We just don't market ourselves well. We do the technical & product better than anyone else... but what good is that if no one knows about it?
