I was thinking that, even though the show/wives tried to portray Kody as an involved father, he never truly was and Ysabel never had a "real dad." David has 8 kids, some of which he raised by himself for much of their lives, he's probably great with kids and likes them, we've seen Ysabel and Truely snuggled up to him in pictures as well. David will likely accept stepchildren pretty easily and he'll be able to treat them like his own kids, they'll just be part of his clan of kids. Ysabel may have brought up the stepdad thing as a way to get advice from Aspyn or just to mention the fact that she cares about David and is testing the water on calling him "stepdad" or "dad." She's sort of asking for permission in a way which is really sweet. I hope that David will be a father figure to them and show them what a "real dad" does.

As a person with curly hair who didn't always embrace it, I don't believe he has a perm. If you look at early seasons, he's attempted to blow it straight (without knowing how) which is why it looked dried out and stringy. Look at his kids, they all have wavy hair. I believe it's natural he's just learned how to work with what he has.
I am part of a same sex couple and my stepson decided on his own to call me his bonus mom. He was 19 when I met him so I didn’t raise him but I have helped a lot as he made his transition from college to adult life. James is right the title doesn’t matter it is how the relationship develops. We are close and I don’t care what he calls me as long as he feels he can call me when he needs me.

Christine was polygamy royalty. When this all came out why Christine left Kody & polygamy Kody had to pick up the pieces if he could. Of course part of that was calling Christine's father to Kody explain. I'm sure he caught a lot of flack. Christine may have been chubby when they married 25 yrs ago but he lost himself a diva, look at her now ! Kody never deserved her beauty or her giving energy.

I think that Christine and David moved in together when the house they built was ready. It wouldn't make sense to pay for 2 residences.

Don't forget that Christine's father held a significant leadership role in the church. Kody was probably trying to make sure that he knew his daughter was going against her teachings and should be shunned.
As a person with curly hair who didn't always embrace it, I don't believe he has a perm. If you look at early seasons, he's attempted to blow it straight (without knowing how) which is why it looked dried out and stringy. Look at his kids, they all have wavy hair. I believe it's natural he's just learned how to work with what he has.
My daughter has naturally very curly hair. For years she would blow a try but she's finally embraced the curls and I had to say she looks awesome

I am part of a same sex couple and my stepson decided on his own to call me his bonus mom. He was 19 when I met him so I didn’t raise him but I have helped a lot as he made his transition from college to adult life. James is right the title doesn’t matter it is how the relationship develops. We are close and I don’t care what he calls me as long as he feels he can call me when he needs me.
Kody could never be on DWTS! He could not be away from the tenders that long.

I get that you're all doing it because Kody started it--but I wish you wouldn't do it. I believe it's never okay to publicly mock someone for their appearance when they're trying to look their best. Good point. I thought he needed extra money selling firewood. That chopped tree gave him a 2-fer of symbolism ritual + firewood. The Mormons love their ritual symbols. It explains his facial scratches. He's lucky it's just a scratch. Ya never want to cut trees when angry and Ks always angry so they say. Anyways, that dufus could take teeing more seriously. My brother learned the hard way while chopping a tree down, and the dog was running around. The tree fell on the dog and the family was heart broken cos they didn't think to keep the dog inside.
I can see what Sarah has picked up on. Sure there’s the whole anger and unhappiness with the situation BUT, I can absolutely see Kody enjoying this moment of monogamy with Robyn. I think it may come in phases and in some of these phases we see him in, he’s just happily basking in monogamy with Robyn. Like how he walks with the camera, beaming a happy smile, about to go watch the old clips of the show. Then comes Robyn who has the disposition of a pissed off teen who was told she can’t spend the evening with friends, she has to stay home for family activity. 😆
Kody has admitted to fantasizing about being here and he finally is!! I think that’s what we’re seeing here. No, he’s not happy for Christine, absolutely not but the mode he’s in, he’s enjoying all that responsibility shirked.

Just from my perspective. Not only is he a narcissist, but he is bipolar. He may now be medicated, and sleeping better too. My Mom was and she was medicating with alcohol for a long, long time. He was allegedly doing the same. He could also have been on Testosterone from the Dr. JUST SAYIN!!!
My personal opinion is narcissism + adhd...bipolar would account for his inappropriate outbursts though. My friends' mom would also medicate with alcohol plus chain smoking and was diagnosed with bipolar later in life. I remember her "flying off the handle" with her kids - verbal screaming - if Kody is experiencing mania, the producers might not be able to show some of that...mania can present as drug binges, promiscuity...but that would account for Kody's problematic shopping behaviour. 🤔

I think Kody looked at the other shows on TLC, those that had lots of kids, and said I can do that. I can find a way to have lots of kids, fame, money, and an easy life.

If Robyn is a full narcissist then her goal will be to ruin Kodys life. She acts grump face, no videoing in her house or her kids. Is she hoping to exit TLC? Does she not know the big income that affords her house and shopping comes from TLC ? If she makes Kody leave the show and the $ welcome his biggest fear...poverty. Then she leaves with half of everything.

@@sjohnson65456 It means that if I want TLC to make changes to production I have to stop giving them my money until they do. So as long as I don’t want to fund Kody and Robyn’s lifestyle I won’t watch the actual episodes. When I can watch them without feeling like I am enabling K and R, I will watch the episodes again.

I know how white folks hair can get hormonal waves, but it don't look like that, even after hair product is applied. That hair been permed. Ya can still see where it was formed around rods. I know perms and that been permed to enhance hair that's too wavey and out of control to manage properly. I like it tho, on someone else's head.
