The apartment with the additional cost for the $1M dishwasher (lol) was my favourite - just skip the dishwasher. The price for the takedown, wash and install was excellent. There is no way that one could get those services in the USA for anywhere near that price. Thanks for the concert segment and for sharing beautiful Nigeria with us.
Honestly babe the last apartment is the best, with the light, space and elevator. At least you are sure you don't have to take flights of stairs and the lighting helps with the social media rodeo. These streets tight , try negotiate price wella.

Wow house prices have got up com;pared to when I relocated with my son in 2007. Then it was like 500k per annum and i had to pay for 2 yrs on the mainland. Obviously youre looking on the Island and things have gone up generally. What i use to fiind absurd was the state of the houses the Estate agents use to show me then, it use to be in a state, dirty and you will be the one to do the cleaning, painting etc. Evenutally I got something in Ikeja but it was a disater not knowning that there was a canal behind and every raining season which happended to be summer when we travel to UK before we got back all the house would be flooded infact the estate agent use to force the place open to clean the place. up before our arrival and everthing got spoilt. After my 2 years I had to look for somewhere else and made my mind never to live on the ground floor, luckily i got a brand new house and we happened to be the first tenant in a good estate. The moral of the story is you need to take your time Nija is not a place where you can rush to do things. I miss Nija still visit regularly and coming back finally but to my own property IJMN, it is essential if you want to live in Nija and be comfortable it's best to sort your own accommodation out. Best wishes.
I wish I could fly to Nigeria once a month for a new do! The price is what I was accustomed to in Florida. Georgia is a rip off when it comes to pricing for hair! I would tip the Nigerian and Ghana stylists a lot for the amount they charge. But I also understand cost of living is a big difference. I can’t believe how high the rent is there. I hope you found close to what you were looking for
Please do not go to nigeria over paying people. Please pay people the average rate for their services do not go above and beyond. Thank you from your fellow american.

Great job with your hair. In the US I usually have to take out my braids myself before going to get my hair re-done, so that was a great price for all that you had done to your hair. The appointment are difficult to decide on. Happy that you are enjoying being back home. Great vlog.

Nigeria has large land mass and living in Lagos is rather stressful. I would rather live in Abuja, if I must live in a big city. Unless one must live in Lagos, there are options. There are other cities in Nigeria with very affordable housing. And are more peaceful places to live in and raise a family. Benin City, Enugu or Ibadan for example, are better. They have good houses in their GRAs. With the amounts I hear the agent say for three bedroom flats could actually get one a duplex of 5 bedrooms, alone in a compound with spacious backyard for kids to play outdoor and for one to sit out to take some fresh air. Thee cities have very little or no traffic wahala that is typical of Lagos. Unless one's business/job is in Lagos, there are options, really.
This was excellent! Thanks for showing us the concert. I do not like some of those apartments in Nigeria. May Yahweh bless you in this move and much success to you in your new home. You are a brave woman and keep smiling and laughing because these people are showing you dirty broken down apartments that look like crap. You have the right personality in dealing with these men.
Most of those apartments and yards were still being finished and no one had lived in them. Most times in Lagos, you'd have to go check out an apartment well before completion in order to secure it because if you wait to see the finished product, it'll have been sold by then or be higher priced. So the agents usually have to explain the concept to you and you see it with your minds eye. They weren't dirty or broken down.. just not complete. Lagos is very populated with people relocating there everyday, if you snooze, you loose.
