The juri here is exploiting dale’s habit of ending jab pressure with that horizontal slash special (i dont play jp) by doing DI after his last jab.
This teaches a good lesson. Don’t be like dale, recognize how your opponent is adapting and change up your gameplay!
That attack is reactable too if the Juri player is looking for the spin he does...but if he is just looking for the purple color LTG could just have done the ghost grab instead.
I think he can’t adapt to things like that because it would require him to acknowledge that the opponent outsmarted him. He’s so insecure that he can’t acknowledge anything his opponent does is good. Thus that Juri wasn’t adapting, they were just spamming and got lucky
The thing is, he actually does adapt later on in the matches by doing a few jabs and then just blocking the DI. The Juri also does a LOT of DI in neutral, which he learns to counter with a lot of simultaneous projectiles and jumping attacks. I think he’s actually getting better at the game even if he does always complain.
Him actually allowing laughing emojis in chat when he loses is legit character development for him. Never thought I’d see the day tbh. His feelings are really fragile

No way JP even top 3 with how good the top tiers are at counterzoning. Blanka, Luke, Ken and Juri can close from fullscreen like it’s nothing. His actual issue is his disproportionate matchups across the cast.
Ok sure he’s not top 3 but he’s not far from it. The character has a few uncomfortable matchups but has literally so many answers to almost every situation. Jp is insanely degenerate.
@@Dytanious The thing is that his actual buttons are not as good as you think they are. His DP is passable, but he lacks spacing tools that aren't punishable and really struggles to outpoke midrange characters. He can beat Guile in the zoning war due to how his spike works, but if Guile plays that matchup close, he has a massive advantage in neutral tools and combos. I definitely consider JP to be in the top half of the roster - likely top 6 - but he unquestionably has exploitable weaknesses. I would like to see a spike nerf to lessen how crushing some of the matchups are, but I'd also want compensation buffs - perhaps to his somewhat underwhelming level 1.

Dale is so down bad it’s gotten to the point where he’s no longer banning chat for laughing. He’s banned so many that haven’t returned that he needs every member he can get nowadays.

LTG is not that bad at FG, he peaked Ultra diamond in SFV and master in 6, it seems he just cant addapt to the matchup and use the same pattern against all characters.

I need LTG to understand that he’s actually good at the game, or at least I think so, all he needs to do is react in kind to drive impact and he has all his bases covered. He almost never uses drive impact. I think he’s trying to play old school in a new age game and he can only get so far before someone DI’s and his wining streak crumbles 🫤
