Have you tried the 5g on any of the networks in US? I have a Redmi note 8 pro and my only reason for upgrading would be for the bigger amoled screen and 5g. I use Red pocket which uses AT&T towers. I've read that AT&T are only certifying some phones but sometimes they'll let phones in on the MVNO networks. It's got the bands, a major one anyway. I love Redmi phones.
This! The cool thing about RPM though is that you don't have to switch your whole carrier to switch towers. Only problem is GSMT might be slower and RPM offers 50GB instead of 100GB on GSMA for the highest plan. This isn't a huge problem as idk what I'd do with 100GB and it's most likely because this is the cap T-Mobile gives to prepaid. I'm also on GSMA on RPM and want this as my next phone.
@@Person.aMedia Ive never had good luck with TMobile MVNOs. I tried US Mobile and Mint and noticed de-priortization almost to the point of unusability. AT&Ts is always fast. I'm pretty much dead set on this phone, it's so damn cheap that if I decide I don't like it or GSMT speeds are too slow (as I haven't been on T-Mobile towers/carriers in a long time) I can just switch back to GSMA and hopefully by then the ASUS ROG Phone 6 will have launched globally. I've heard sometimes phones that don't work on a carrier, will work on a prepaid or MVNO service using their towers... I'll find all this out by the end of this month.
@@Person.aMedia not to get your hopes down but I actually returned this phone 2 months ago because it had some lag issues. It wasn't as fast as my Redmi note 8 pro.
