Only time will tell if OU is ready. I do believe that OU is so much closer than they would have been with Riley. It might take a year but OU will do well.
In my opinion Dusty has slowly rose to the top of the top of "color commentators" in college football! I always
enjoy his opinions, and comments! Wishing him the best as he moves forward!
Dusty is the man
OU and Texas got everyone’s best shot in the Big 12. In the SEC they won’t be the target in every game. That will help counterbalance the move and equal it out somewhat.
Couldn’t agree more.
Just go back and look at Jackson Arnolds last few years in high school he is a dude and a half when he runs I know you don’t wanna get the quarterback hurt but that dude is big and he’s got a shoulder. He would lower it and he’ll stay healthy I know they’ll tell him not to be doing that a lot, but he is a runner and he can pass the dude makes it happen.
I thought it was a very balanced, fair discussion and nothing but facts
OU is ready for the SEC. They're going to be even better at DLine in the future to come.
😂 only one returning O-lineman, a new OC, a RS Freshman starting QB and OU is ready for the SEC? Stop, just stop
@@johnnyrotten5905🥴
@johnnyrotten5905 offense will take some lumps. The defense will be even more improved and give the offense time to get better however. So yes, they're ready. "New OC" was a hire from within, not a new guy coming in implementing an entirely new system.
As a Texas fan. OU will be fine. I expect them to be back in the thick of things within 2-3 years.
respect
Jackson Arnold is that dude. He’s got NFL level arm talent and precision accuracy. He’s big as well and can run. Name another red shirt freshman that goes into a game when your Star QB gets injured and gets the play call and just audibles out and picks up a crucial first down. He’s that dude.
I think OU will be a 9-3 maybe 8-4 next year
I am ready for the SEC, I am sure the players are hyped as well. Can't predict the outcome of the first season for my Sooners but it will be exciting to not be playing the big 12 schedule anymore and let the chips fall where they may 🥳
Hook Em💪🤘
Texas was ou’s championship game . The Horns are absolutely ahead of ou in being ready for SEC play .
If that's true. why Oklahoma beat Texas this year?
@waltersgoults8803
Lol, what a typical shorthorns comment!
Because It was a straight-up fluke and Texas would of beat them in championship for sure
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Longhorns downplay RRS when they lose. typical of a pussy program that wins once every 4 years
They will be fine. They wont win as many games every year. The schedule is always a grind. 10 win seasons are definitely more harder to get over here.
I think Texas is ready. I’m not sure OU is but they are real close and better situated than probably 1/2 the SEC
Both coaches have just one 10 plus win season.. the difference is BV has one in only two seasons..while stark has one in like ten seasons
because BV was “handed” a team (just like every OU coach) while Sark had to flush and rebuild due to the previous coaching staffs
@@chrispreston78 BV has done the same... Texas had more pkayer that stark didn't recruit then BV...
Both teams will be competitive in the SEC, but instead of occasionally playing an SEC early in the season or at a bowl game. Starting 2024 they need to prepare for a bowl game every week. They are probably gonna lose when I see them come out of the tunnel kinda half assed. They weren’t fired up for the bedlam game or Kansas. I hope they are talking with Byron Washington, the 6-foot-8, 380-pound OT because he’s a beast. Texas, LSU, and Texas A&M have been with him
I’m just excited that now any time we lose a conference game, we can just roll out the “we beat each other up” narrative.
Any school is sec ready.. you should be asking are they bama and Georgia ready
one is 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Riley took the game out of Mayfields hands at the end of rose bowl!
What's OUs record against bamy!!!
@@joecharles5368 think OU 3 and 1 against bama... counting all time back to the early 1900s.. OU is 3 and 2 with 1 tie
Texas and Oklahoma? Those should be a separate discussion. Texas a definite Yes. Oklahoma will struggle first year. Ok goes 6 - 6 in SEC next year.
Just how do you see OU going 6-6 in their 1st year in the SEC? How do you break it down
game by game! I would be interested in your evaluation! I await that!
@@joedapro7236it’s possible; Tenn, UT, Miss, Mizz, Bama, LSU…could potentially through Auburn in there too. these teams reload talent, not like B12, and the home environments are crazy! in all fairness, they could also win most of those too, but recruiting and current talent isn’t looking good enough for year one
Unfortunately, OU isn't ready at the line of scrimmage. The high ranking d-line recruits will need a year or two under their belt. Meanwhile, the o-line room feels like a mostly empty toolbox with spare parts. Especially after our best freshman o-lineman left out of nowhere.
Really??? STUFF texASS 4 Times at the End Zone!!!😂
@@joecharles5368 A Texas team that's one of the worst in the country in the Red Zone.
@@GutslingerWorst in the country? No just no they went to the cfp
@@corneliusdansbyjr6165 After their game with us (OU), they had a 45.8% touchdown rate in the red zone, scoring touchdowns 11 times in 24 attempts. This ranked 122nd nationally.
So they literally were one of the very worst in scoring TD's when in the red zone at that point.. I have no idea what that stat ended up being by the end of the season though.
The ceiling is way higher. Not even close
OU last 3 games gonna be difficult for them
Shows you just how dominant bama has been to mention a team beating bama by 10 points ..lmao ROLL DAMN TIDE
Why is this a question?
Lebby lost those two games so he could avoid Big12 championship and leave to recruit for his new school.
OU owned the short horns in the Big12 and OUs going to own the short horns in the SEC to.
Wrong going to be the other way around 🤘
Wrong! Horns will Own Blow U in the SEC
They aren't. Only playing 2 to 4 (if you make the playoffs)hard games a year doesn't make you SEC ready
Dear SEC, welcome to your new era of OU whining. This will happen every year.
Yep!! While texASS BRINGS THE STINKY CHEESE!!
Texas was OUs superbowl
Please can you tell me who won that SuperBowl?????
You misspelled toiletbowl
Really? Pretty OU has owned Texass. Delusional shorthorns
@@billybenson974doesn’t rlly matter since one’s playing in the playoff and the other is in the Alamo bowl…
Guess it dont matter cause if Ou was in the big 12 championship we would whoop exas ass again 🤘⬇️ down
They’re ready. 100%.
Oh, he played for Venables, no wonder he is a homer and putting lipstick on that pig.
So, jonnyrotten, who is your team? And how have they faired since 2000? I'm curious!
TEXAS is run by donors, boosters, and alumni Texas got lucky breaks examples a bad spot in the Houston game that was clearly a first down could have LOSS!!! Second example the Kansas State game. Kansas State has so many chances to win the game at the end and failed.!!!
K St was losing by 20 at the end of the 3rd, did you even watch that game. just a lot of hate and could have should haves. Texas should have beaten OU. right? they out played them.
I still don't think 😕 🤔 🙃 😐 😅 😪 that Brent Venables isn't the best choice 👌 😋 😉 😜 😀 😄 as head football coach at Oklahoma"?!!? Oklahoma should've tried to hire Mike Elko of the Texas A&M football team or Matt Rhule of Nebraska"?!!?🤔🫡🤨😩😫😖😠😤🤬💯💢💥💫💣🌋👍👌👎🤞🤌🫱🫲🫸🫷🤜🤛👏🤝🙌🙏
