  • The Striped Bass will often feed in warmer shallow sand flats early season in the Northeast. As micro "rain bait" hatches, these flats create a food highway for the striper to swim around freely.

That’s insane! There was no tell tale sign of fish being there. I’m new to fishing so mostly birds and of course if you see bait but you saw a sandeel which is crazy. Do you fish mostly Long Island south shore or north shore also?

Both but I really like the challenge of the South Shore. That's where the giants roll

where would you say would be the most consistent place for you to catch fish from shore?

The fish move around based on forage so there will never really be a consistent place. I look for bait staged early spring and time feeds on weather/ log books from previous yearly patterns.
