If you're about my age, it was a long time ago when family members didn't usually feel comfortable in sharing their feelings like that. But that is changed now. We always end phone conversations with I love you. My stepson and their family members always tell me how much they love and I reciprocate. It's still a work in progress for me but I am working on it. Anyway, that's my take on that.
