Thanks for the tip, bro! I'm only 5'6 so I'm trying to figure out a setup NOW! I just traded in my 20 RGS for a 22 RG ST and I need a set up ASAP lol such a sweet machine needs bars!
Glad I could help
Solid video! Did you have to change the stock bar mount bracket to install the Bung King riser? Thx
Solid content on this channel!
Thanks man!
No Thank you! I learned a lot from your bars video. Bought a lucky daves 12” lucky 13 right after and it was perfect match. Wiring was a pain but riding them is awesome.
Sweet dude! Glad you're stoked on them. The Lucky 13 is a sweet bar.
Looks good. To be only 10 Inches your arms look pretty high on the bars. I might go this route or 12" tbar set-up from WCT
Awesome video! Do you have any part numbers? ( especially the cable clamps and bushings) thanks man
56298-03A is the bushings from Harley. I don't have the part numbers from Harley for the clutch/brake perch clamps, however if you go to your local dealer just tell them its the clutch and brake perch clamp from the '18-up softails. Or you can go aftermarket, that's typically much more expensive.
Hey bro! Excellent video! Were you able to use stock clutch/brake cables/lines?
Yup! All stock cables.
What kind of throttle tube do u gotta get for those grips
Good vid. Quick question, did you have to drill or cut any part of the bike?
Nope! Works fine with everything stock, no cutting required.
Does your bike feel heavier now?
I bought a similar set up from spadys, did you have to extend your clutch and brake cable??
Did you have to depin the connector to get them through the riser ?
Maybe I missed it, but do you have a full view of the touch screen as well?
The only Lucky Daves riser bars I can find now look to not be predrilled for internal wiring. Did yours come with holes? Still happy with setup?
Mine were pre-drilled for internal wiring, as well as the edges of the bars are cut for throttle by wire. Still like the setup.
Sounds like a lot of work still want em
Does the perch clamp need to be changed because of the different diameter Of handlebar?
It's actually because the bagger clamps have a standoff on the back of the clamp, and the stock bars have a hole to accommodate this. It limits how much you can rotate your controls, which limits adjustability. If you wanted to you could take a dremel to the standoff and use the stock clamps, however I think buying the softail ones results in a cleaner look for not much more $$.
@@JonsMotorcycles Thanks for the info! I have the same bars on a Street Glide and was having issues with the adjustments of the controls.
Using those grips do you need to get a throttle sleeve?
Yes, there are a few companies that sell them, I went with drag specialties.
Jon what size hole did you end up drilling with the lucky Dave’s bar
I didn’t have to drill, it’s just the lucky Dave’s bar and the riser is bungking.
Did you have to mess with bleeding brakes or the hydraulic clutch or were you able to let them hang to the side while you put the new bars on
How bad was it to run the wires through everything?
It's pretty tough on the bars, they're my favorite bend however lucky daves leaves some machining burs on the inside so the wires tend to get caught. It was really easy to run them through the risers. Make sure you do all the cables for each side at once, don't try to run the cables one at a time.
Stock cables and wiring?
Yes all stock
@@JonsMotorcycles pulled the trigger on this set up last night after your vid so happy to know hahaha thanks dude
Sweet dude! It's a great setup congrats.
How visible are the gauges? Looking at this setup
You do lose visibility of the speedometer from about 0-40 and tach from 0-1500 or so. You can still see it if you move around but from where you normally sit you'll lose about a quarter of the gauge.
@@JonsMotorcycles do you feel a 12" risor with a low bend bar would block your info screen? I'm 6ft & leaning that way.
How much is the infotainment blocked??
Not at all honestly
