He probably based the uniforms based on the size and shape of his compatriots. Being the tallest one he picked Data. 2. Sheldon wouldn't listen to Leonard, but Data would listen to Picard and Sheldon is professional at staying in character. 3. Sheldon could have easily wanted any leadership character from his respective mediums. Kirk, Picard, Luke Skywalker. Instead he picked characters he related to the most. Spock and Data are emotionless beings spending a lifetime wondering what humans are like and why they are the way they are. With Spock choosing a mostly vulcan way of life and Data trying to be more human. Basically it's in character of him to do this even if it goes against his usual quirks.

People seemed to have missed the part where Sheldon looked at Leonard and asked " Captain what are your orders". After every episode finally Sheldon acknowledges Leonard's position even if it is for a comic con...haha and the part where Leonard huffs up to assume command
That's because Leonard is playing Jean-Luc Picard who is technically the leader in Next Generation. I'm guessing Sheldon is just following orders because he is a stickler to details maybe.

This reminds of my friend and I right now. He's obsessed with comic books and I'm obsessed with classical literature. A month ago he lent me _Batman: Knightfall_ and I emailed him the PDF of _Dracula._ We both got hooked. Most of our conversations now revolve aaroundthe books we're swapping, and we're both thinking: "We crossed into an alternate demention where the friends in our lives can finally appreciate great literature."
I mean, good for you, but Dracula is garbage. I couldn't make it past chapter 2, it felt like mu eyes were going to start bleeding. I had an easier time reading Paradise Lost by Milton. I had a similar thing happen with my best friend. I sent him Shakespeare's Henry V, he sent me a Life of Strange prequel graphic novel. A month later and I've played both games and i'm waiting for the other graphic novels to arrive, and he has purchased the complete works of the bard, and messaged me a couple of days ago about how great Othello is. He's even asked if he can come with me next time I go watch the RSC perform a play.
It's funny, I'm a huge comic book fan. I grew up reading them, and am still collecting them. Yet I have never met a guy who liked them. LOL. Other than my cousin and a random coworker none of the men in my life like comic books. At least not as adults. I find it hilarious when they talk about the DC and Marvel movies like they know so much and them I mention the respective books and they give me this deadpan look. I think I need more "nerds" in my life.

Leonard hooked up with Priya and that one chick he met at the comic book store that he cheated on Priya with. Both of those were hotter then Penny, so I'd say his odds of finding a girlfriend prettier then Penny are better then he gives himself credit for.
Its great that you can tell exactly who they are supposed to be playing just by the uniform. Leonard is Picard based on the bald wig, Sheldon is Data since he has a sheen on his face to simulate data's fake skin, Raj is Worf with the metal sash, and obviously Howard is some kind of borg drone. It all comes off well without them needing to say it out loud which is exactly how cosplay should function.
OMG. The Mjolnir argument is so pointless. Red Hulk explains it personally in that part of the comic. You can lift it by yourself in Zero Gravity and if Thor's holding it, you can still grab it.

Just being a nerd here…. But red hulk found a loophole and lifted Thor’s hammer. The enchantment for the hammer needs gravity to be lifted “up”. Since there is no gravity in space there is technically no “up” so red hulk was able to lift it and beat Thor with it. Just being a nerd here. I loved the “You don’t know his life!!”. The argument that the girls are having is one that I have actually had about that subject. LOL.
The most disappointing thing about this show is that it never really mentions or follows up on a lot of stuff in future episodes. Like this is the only time any of the girls really talk about anything nerdy and I think it would've been great if every now and then they actually engaged in conversation or asked the guys a question about, like, a comic they're reading or something
If someone as much as touch 1 page of his comic books he would flip out. I would have loved to see his reaction with all his (and others) books spread across the floor :D
