Hey Puck, this course looks mostly flat. That's good for your powerful and continuous style. Hopefully those little berms can be ridden with enough speed, helping to keep mud out of your cleats. I was lucky enough to stop by a pub during my ride today (Sunday) and your race was on TV. It was great to watch you and Fem battling it out - and I was nearly shouting at the TV willing you on to pass in the last part. So close!

That was a lot of fun. School Fem in the sand like you did that Irish guy and you'll close u the gap! My heart cried a little haring the rubbing and crunching of your bike with all the mud and sand, but I bet you are used to it. Success
Quite suprised by the course. Some big hills and really dry ground. It looks also pretty narrow. For tomorrow I except some fast racing maybe ending in a groupsprint of 20 people. The tactic should be a slow start and sit in the draft till 150m to go. What do you think?

Don't tell the competition but i'll try to be in 2nd to 5th position the whole race and then go for the sprint with 100m to go. Maybe i'll stick in some Vittoria corsa's 25mm or some Dugast Pista's if it really stays dry like today. It's about 32 degrees Celcius here so I will use a cool vest during warming up and maybe even during the race. Do you have any other cooling strategies? Thanks again and can't wait to see you next time I'm in beautiful Someren!
@@puckpieterse02 Just be cool (and stay cool) and drink a lot of tea. Drinking tea will get you a faster blood circulation, so it is perfect in reducing heat. It also helps against aging, which is great for you!
Great tips from Danny there. I agree that it’ll likely end in a bunch sprint but with the high temps tomorrow the drying mud will be very sticky. I expect everyone will be running in the bunch sprint. I also recommend changing your ice vest every lap. Good luck Puck and have a Guinness after the race.

No problem! The sand this morning was more difficult because of some frozen bits, but in de race it was the same as yesterday. This was the kind of sand that did not get many trails in it which made it hard to ride trough no matter if it was wet or dry.

1st half of the course looks a little boring but the second half has a lot more terrain. Should be an interesting race if it stays muddy like this.
