Sweet video. I saw this truck a few weeks back at the local shops near me and I remember thinking that someone needs to film it. I like the nice fast packer on this truck. I'd love to collect bulk waste.
Thanks! I am not 100% sure but I think this is the only truck like this in the Fleet. The rest are Superior Paks, and I can't remember what truck number it was but one of the other superior pak trucks has the best packer in the fleet and when fully loaded weights up to around 11 tonne

Reckon it's pretty cool how the driver can run the packer from the cab too, something different no doubt. Loved all the crunchy stuff like at 5:10. Saw a bit of metal get thrown in too, guess the metal truck doesn't go everywhere :P Bugger at 14:35 hehe Looking forward to seeing the other trucks you caught!
Thanks mate. This is the only one I have seen with the New acco cab in the WM fleet. Yeh, it is just luck if the scrap metal truck gets there before the hardwaste truck does but the hard rubbish trucks always leave the mattresses behind (if not already done) for the mattress truck to collect as the mattresses take up room.
i have NEVER seen a packer blade come down so fast !! So fast it looks DANGEROUS..and since the packer can be started by the DRIVER..I can see a LOT of potential for MAJOR injuries here !!
I presume there's a camera that gives the driver a full view of the hopper and immediate area behind to make sure no body parts get taken up by the compactor :-)

Melbourne hard rubbish, and Moreland more than most, has furnished my house and provided plenty of pocket money over the years. But seriously, how can people ‘like’ this? They just throw perfectly good stuff, often so perfect it’s brand new, into the crusher and dump it all in landfill. What a fucking waste.
Australia still has a lot to learn about recycling, their so many items going to waste that people doing it hard out there would appreciate some of those items
