- Great news everyone! There's another group class coming up on Sunday June 18th. The last one was a great success and there was a lot of excitement for it so I'm proud to announce another one coming up. This is the beginning of doing one public class every month! Doing this gives more people an opportunity to be there and learn from me in person and to save money by doing so! Normally I charge $65 for a class like this so you'd be saving up to $45!!
The event will take place at Southwestway Park off Mann Road in Indianapolis and will be from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM to avoid the heat of the day. The cost is $20 per person if you sign up before the event, or $25 the day of the event.

Being hand-held taught by "a guru" with any skill... shooting, golf etc. is the best. Foraging? I couldn't think of a better class with all the Donkey Pox going around 🙂
Yes, hands on gives so much that a video can't do.

I'm glad to hear you're so excited about it Dawn! I know you were upset about missing the last one so there's plenty more opportunities for you to get to one. Hopefully we'll be offering them at other places too in the future. I have a couple parks to investigate to see if they'd be viable locations, but Tom and I were talking about doing some around Bloomington area as well to try to reach some people further south.

Maybe you can get with Kentucky Substantial Living Homestead & Prepardness. They hold an Expo down in Bowling Green. I believe they are going to do this twice a year.
Your skills and knowledge of foraging & wild edibles would be beneficial to the community and help reach more individuals. Just a thought. Thank you.

No, not bothersome at all! You should definitely let your followers know monthly. when the new talk is happening. Maybe a text screen with a reminder?
I'm leaning towards a community post and on the website because a monthly video announcement would be too repetitive and might hurt my channel algorithm wise. I like the idea of a text popup in a video too, so thanks for the feedback!
Maybe RUclips has more traffic. I don't think people would mind you briefly mentioning your classes at beginning or end of your youtube videos. You could also promote with the community post.
That's a good idea to mention it in videos very briefly! That way it's not a dedicated video every month because I worry it might hurt my channel with the algorithm by doing so. I'm leaning heavily towards the community post though because it seems like a good balancing point. Thank you for the feedback!
I'm too far in the sticks to attend. A couple states away, actually. I think as long as you put your "public class announcement" in the title you shouldn't offend anyone. I even watched this video even though I pretty much knew it was out of the question. I'd consider maybe showing the site, how normal/inconspicuous/etc. it is, or whatever. That could also draw interest in itself. It's nice to see that people still have lives offline!

Funny you mentioned showing the place where they take place because the last one I had someone film most of the class and will be uploading it sometime in the near future.

That would definitely be RUclips but I kinda figured it would upset people by uploading a video every month basically saying the same thing. Hopefully I'll get some more feedback as it's a tough decision to make. However I could just make it a community post instead of a video. Idk, it'll take a bit to think about but thank you for the feedback! Anymore suggestions I'm all ears.

I should! None planned yet as I've been without a car for a while but am getting it fixed soon. I'll make a community post on the channel to announce it when it comes time.
Can we attend virtually? Im in North Dakota
Unfortunately that's not an option for us right now. The logistics are a major issue because my teaching style is so hands on and getting someone to film live would be difficult due to internet/picture quality. That's definitely something to think about thoughà
