Haha yeah, I do have to confess I got some 75mph winds recently and because I put my stakes through the bottom it folded over like a taco, now I have 4 at the different corners.
You can get a replacement base from Spalding by calling and giving them the model number which is located on the back side of the base near the fill hole where you add water
The problem isn’t the base it’s the weight distribution normally a portable system has the pole going straight up from the front but this one extends from the back with the basket extending over the front of the base
Don’t buy that type of basketball goal it may be a nice hoop for a cheap price but I’ve had that same exact model for 4 years and it fell over on my brothers car 2 times and after that we repositioned it so it could get more use and then one day the welds for the rim broke and the hoop was nothing but a backboard we had a lifetime hoop for 10 years and it could have lasted longer if we kept it filled after we moved
Good lord man. Buy yourself a proper pipe clamp. That toy you have there is for clamping wood together. It’s not made for that kind of work. Get a pipe clamp and clamp like a man!
This is real, so glad u made this, now my family agrees about the tie down anchors I want to get, Thank you

hey, this is a great one. May i know about the clamp you used ?
The tie downs were the spiral dog stakes and the ratchet straps are just regular ratchet straps.
Man that was a strong wind!
Yeah no kidding.
U need more than two sand bags on the base
