Thanks for the fun and accurate video! I went to Cardinham for the first time this week, its not far from where i live. It was raining and two storms have happened recently. But the trail was in good condition and fast. It seems to be layered with hard wearing slate chips which are great for fast rolling, but i wouldn't want to crash on it!

I hope you enjoyed your ride! Yeah the slate top coat is pretty aggressive on some parts of the trail. I almost found out the hard way. Glad you liked the video!

Went down yesterday, was shocked that it has been 5 years since my last visit. The rollers felt twice as high as last time.

Caddinham is awesome. The only frustration was thd long climb to hells teeth, the switchbacks were very tight for my 29er's turning circle. Feel that the park was designed around smaller wheels.

My mum lives in Bodmin, didn’t realise there were trails at Cardinham. Might have to take the bike on my next visit!

6:20 The winch up to the top of hells teeth, anyone cleaned it? One of the best bits of the forestry land/ 1sw projects

Great video, you're right about that last section, I had a massive off there about 2 weeks before your video and broke my scapula. I still love Cardy, just have a new sense of respect for it..

Hey thanks for this, my local is Haldon Forest and I so need to find some new trails to explore! I think a trip to here and Lanhydrock is in order!

If you like Haldon forest this will be a good one to visit. Lots of switchback climbs at Cardinham too (adds a bit of effort to your day). It might also be good to visit the Forest of Dean. There are some amazing things to ride there.

I dunno, I find the place frustrating to be honest. It feels as if some parts are designed solely to slow you down and it gets very repetitive with all the identikit whoops and berms. There's no line choices other than being a-bit-to-the-left or a-bit-to-the-right unless you start going off piste and these sort of infractions get shut down pretty quickly.. I suppose it had to be sanitised so there are no surprises and subsequent lawsuits but when a surface being nice and smooth is hailed as a positive I do wonder what's going on with mountain biking. I want ruts and roots and rocks and with Grogley, Bishops, Hustyns and even Dunmere 15 minutes down the road I really can't justify going Cardinham, or Cardioham as my mate with the terrible puns puts it 'cos it's just a work out.

Well I actually went back there this afternoon to reassess . Hmm, I can see the appeal of the place and actually from the top of Hell's Teeth back to the car park is pretty nice. I still think it needs a lot more long, open corners you can carry some proper speed round and less hairpins. I suppose it's just not what I'm used to riding and I'm kinda set in my ways, my loss.
Nice video btw. Clear and down to earth, no childish whooping and hollering, nice.
