FYI that’s exactly what people said about Garth Brooks back in the day. Country is constantly evolving. I don’t think Dan + Shay is country at all either but yet they are here winning awards and getting nominations. Sam is much more country than they are.

As a traditional country fan, I don't have any problem with this new generation of recording artists, however calling it country music is just not accurate. This is more r&b or pop. There are plenty of country music artists that should be getting airplay & recognition in the country music genre over artists like this
