Completely agree with you. Before I found your channel the only guy I found was Firefighter Now like you did. His stuff is useful to an extent but a lot of it isn't relevant because of the differences between US and UK firefighting
@@cameronmccleary Smart move on your part. Also frustrating how the information each service gives varies so much. I have never seen any information on fire service websites on what accomodations are made if you have glasses etc. Would you be able to give some information on what changes/needs are met if you require glasses?
@@cameronmccleary Oh sorry that's not what I meant. I'm aware of the medical and eye tests but what I'm wondering is how things like BA masks are sorted if you need to wear glasses.
The LFB has different shifts but overall the same thing as their shift is 8pm-9:30am. My plan is to go gym almost every day after GCSE's to improve my strength and build some muscle. I will also follow some of your fitness plans
@@cameronmccleary Because at the moment I feel that I am too skinny but thats because I have celiac disease. But I believe with my strong passion and desire, if I stay dedicated I can build up strength and fitness for the brigade
I'm confused by the 2.2.4 shift pattern, I understand it's 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts, but does it mean that the first night shift is attatched to the last day shift? So if my day shift is 9.30 till 8pm, then do I stay on straight away for my night shift from the same 8pm till 9.30 next day making it a 24h shift or is there a day off in the middle? Thanks
I've been trying to find more info on this. Thank you for making it mate.
Not a lot out there mate glad you found value in the video!

You do an eye test during your medical but I’m not sure what the requirements are exactly.

Hi Tobees, yes - it’s now at a huge discounted price. Please see my recent video ‘ how to improve your chances of becoming a firefighter’
