Micronics Wizmax EM1 Woofer designer Micro ATX case
Time for something very different but at the same time very flexible and stylish.
The Wizmax EM1 Woofer is a rather interesting take on the classic MATX mini form factor and brings a sense of space and design language that might suit the minimalistic look of your home office or living room.
No more rainbow puke lighting and gaudy colours, this is a more refined setup with a classic monochrome look and some wooden accents to finish off the Woofers design.
As you probably have guessed the 160mm mesh fronted fan is stylised from the look of speakers and they actually do a larger version with dual fans, aptly named the EM2 Stereo.
They both come in the choice of either white or black finishes and both have a hinged magnetic side windows in slightly tinted tempered glass, and have lots of space for cabling and additional drives.

Hi, Mike. I still say paint the case pink, add some pig ears and paint on a pair of eyes with large lashes and it would be a cute piggy mod.
😆OINK!
@@jamesmiscellaneous That'll do pig. 🤣🤣
Or Paint it Green add 2 little horns on the top and you got Mike Wazowski
😂
It's so cute! It's not a computer but an interior prop. I think the house would be so pretty if I put it in the living room.
i agree
I really like this case. I do hope it comes to the US market soon. Hint, hint... 😄 I was sort of on the fence about it until you said Stereo Model! Now I really want one in White. Having PWM fans would be a huge plus! Love the way the side door is hinged and easy to open and close. Thank you Wizmax for sending this case over for Mike and Lady Kath to review. Take care everyone. Cheers
Mike, Love the Case & Feet, nice Hight also.
yep it has a certain appeal
I like the look of this case. Great video thanks Mike
Thanks for watching!
Somewhat unique!
yep!!
Really hope this comes to the UK market, it's really refreshing to see a different style of case. While personally I enjoy the glass, I think a mesh side panel variant of this case would make sense for if you're going for a contemporary look, kinda like the Fractal North has which goes for a similar vibe - at double the cost though!
I hope so too!
I like these fold out glass pannels instead of the typical 4 thumb screws and having to be extra careful when doing maintainance i might go for that as a feature on my next case though i don't intend on changing my case just yet but this is a interesting unique looking case
i think this is an awesome case for the m-atx formfactor!!! not much of a market for m-atx it seems but i'll be happy when i can buy this in Canada :) and of course mike, more stuff from Wizmax specially the "stereo " case... lol
hopefully coming soon
Love the unique design and imo its good to see ppl challenging the expected designs! The white leds look fine but cud the fans be easily replaced to give variable speeds? Look forward to uk pricing! Thanks for sharing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
hopefully we will see these available over here
Love the hinged door, all cases should have one. Really miss that feature having upgraded from a nexus m2 air to a lancool mesh case. Those feet though. It's like they've upcycled my nans chair. Nah.
Thanks, Mike. 👍 I also like the wooden-look feet, but I think it really should have a Type-C front panel USB port. Also, the *Lian Li Lancool 216* (which I think is a nice case) comes with two preinstalled 160mm fan' in the front. (But exceptions do prove rules: 160mm *is* an oddball size for stock case fans. 🤔)
Good call!
Just stands out. Its cool.
agreed
Nice case!
I think so too!
I quite like the design, and the wooden look legs, I would probably go with finer mesh for the filters though. I have built Micro ATX systems for myself before, but I like ATX builds better so I would opt for the larger case. For a budget £50 ish price I think it is a good deal, I didn't see if it comes with mounting screws for drives though.
yes all the screws and mounts are included in the accessories bag
Great looking case, imo, and well showcased by you Mike. It looks a couple of features away (140mm fan and relocate excess buttons/inputs, argb, rubber passthrough grommets) from being a case which could even be a buy at 3x the SRP. With it raised off the ground, I wonder if an I/O setup under the front of the case, rather than on top would suit this design?
Extremely hard to fault something like this at $50. With those feet and simple front panel, you can really imagine it in a minimalist setup, where the user could even paint the feet to match their room colour scheme.
all good points there
1st like 👍🥰😇💪! I like the ikea aesthetics here in this case and he smaller form factor .
Big thanks Mike
definitely love the wooden feet to elevate the case form the ground
absolutely hate those mesh filters that you gotta try and pinch to remove them and slide back into place, would be nice if it was a more fine mesh filter like the ones you see on the corsair 4000D, rubber grommets would be nice for the cable passthrough slots, else alternatively, another sheet of metal that comes forward and covers the top of the holes (also much like the 4000D)
really like the fold out glass panels, front panel maybe have the handle be enclosed (honestly the amount of dust i see get caked up on my filters has made me realise how much I appreciate them.
would love to know if the feet are easily replaceable, if if they can be unscrewed and replaced with some home made wood turned ones, big fan of the M-ATX size, and kinda curious if they'll have something for M-ITX (Small form factor builds just look gorgeous with components neatly tucked into the build)
personally not the biggest fan of the LED button, I'm more of a control rgb with software, kind of person
though aesthetically, it looks pretty clean and I love the look to it
maybe adding and USB C header to top though not crucial,
and maybe swapping from separate headphone and mic port to the singular combo one,. seeing motherboards that are gonna be put into the build typically have them separated already
yes the feet come off easily and could be remade with real wood etc
Thermaltake's Core V21 uses a 200mm fan. The GPU in ours GPU is 40° under load. Yep bigger fans really do mean... OMG so much dust inside!
Its funny cos I both like and dislike this case. I appreciate its non-convential design but I cant stop thinking that it looks like a sub woofer, especially with those wood effect legs. That one fan at the front makes it look like the chest from one of the robots from Pacific Rim lol. In the right setting this case would look just right, i hope its a success 🙂 Thanks Mike and Kath.
i know what you mean, there are conflicting thoughts about this one. interesting principle though. and it the front was full mesh and normal feet it would be a winner
Woofer thats the Minions pc case 😛

should paint it yellow

@@WilliamAndrewPhilipBodie Lol!
I like it, but why no UK availability again?
like i said it is a more pan asian market that they normally are found in, but they are considering the US EU and UK markets and would like to get a sense of how people feel about the products, hopefully they will be filling up shelves over here soon
Lian Li Lancool 216 has two 160mm rgb fans on the front of the case.
Very nice and interesting case. And for the price it's great.
If this case with one fan it's called woofer and the other stereo, how would they name the one with 3 fans? Surround?
dolby 😎
can you do a review on Wizmax EM2. thank you
i will try
Make easier to remove bottom filter or to mount PSU upside if possible. Very pretty case :)
Yes, you are right nice easy access
Personally I don't like it, I would prefer a full mesh at the front for better airflow as components are getting hot these days. I guess as something different it might work for some people but I don't see it being a good flip case as you can't see the front fans if you took out the 160mm fan with the closed off front panel.
Thanks for sharing
are the wooden feet removable?
seems to be
can u easily replace the front fan? decent airflow?
yes but the 160mm is hard to find at the moment , 140 or 120 can be used but looks a bit weird
@@mikesunboxingwould cm sickle flow 200 work? The one that many mounting holes in it
Horrible , looks like an ipod
😂
