I don't expect you to read any of this lol. This is just what I think would have happened and we know that the 400 days characters were supposed to be 'more robust' within the greater story but they didn't have the money/time.
Well I did read it all. And I must say, it sounds a lot better than what these, "world leading story-driven games" can produce lmao. I honestly pictured it being something like that, except maybe the church town would be where the shootout would occur. It's hard to tell, since Season 2's such a goddamn clusterfuck. lol
The ending made me cry a lot more than any game could manage. This is one of the only games other than The Last of Us that's ever triggered this serious of an emotional response from me.
Last of us is sad but a lot of people make it sadder than it actually is. It's sad that Sarah died but we all could assume that she was going to die since Joel ends up with another young girl.
CornNick102 _cru Jane was a psychopath by putting a baby in the car. She knew what Kenny was capable of and still did it. In my opinion she had to die for her actions.
I'm still kind of annoyed that Mike wasn't the one who attacked Christa in the woods, it seemed that the writers in EP1 had a mystery set up with her but just dropped the ball, they also made her pregnancy pointless to the overall story of the series.
Imagine what they could have done if they expanded the endings in season 3. Staying at Wellington, leaving with Kenny, with the people, without them or on my own
How did Clem turn into such an a hole in s3 after Kenny and Lee basically set up for her to be the most morally good character in the game? I feel they tried to make her like Jane too much.
The writers misunderstood what made Clementine such a compelling charcater in the first place. They thought it was her 'badass' vibe around her, being an 11 year old girl in the ZA when in reality it was her ability to keep everyone smiling with the strength to carry on and protect her. She was the reason both Lee and Kenny never gave up on their goals.
Couldn't have said it better. Her strength was being a beacon of light when everything around her seemed to falling apart. I think they tried to make AJ that in a more literal sense, but AJ never says of does anything to merit that role besides being an innocent baby. Writing a growing female character is hard.
Someone really needs to interview the writers and animators. One can only imagine what managed to get cleaned up, especially for Episode 3. The "Next Time" video for that one made it look like it was going to be the best episode out of the 5. I'm glad that Alvin kept the derringer in the end. His sacrifice would be meaningless without it. Has anyone managed to mod Carver's first appearance so that Troy's the one who appears? Damn, Christine Lakin does a good kid voice.
Jane was one of those S2 characters that I could see Molly in, but she always felt inferior. Also, for how much they made players want to dislike Kenny, it's actually impossible to dislike Kenny if you know what happens from the end of s2 through the flashbacks of s3 for both Jane and Kenny.
If you go to Wellington with Kenny, he gives that impassioned plea to try and save Clem and AJ. Touchy stuff. Kenny also teaches Clem to drive and his death is based more on bad luck than bad decisions, like I feel Jane's was. The Super Market wasn't too bad, but I feel Jane was never all there, mentally and spiritually. I like Molly more because she was more confident in herself and her decisions. Jane was competent as shown with the walker guts plan, but she made so many poor decisions and was flaky when it came to being alone of with a group. I miss Molly, maybe her sister make a return in S4 as a tribute to her.
Wow. You are totally right about the seat belt thing. I guess I never really considered that as a direct poor decision, but that is a conscious bad decision. Jane's death just hit me harder because of how grim it was. I always liked Molly. I actually just preferred a lot of the S1 characters (I liked the 400 days people and Javier and Paul from S3 though). I also brought up Molly's sister on some wishful thinking, because her status is listed as unknown, so maybe she survived. I wonder if Molly still has that hair clip.
@@Tatocatame he acts like a baby a lot, he’s crazy and he’s manipulative which a lot of people don’t see but if you being through that you would know he’s manipulative. I mean a lot of people have grown up and even said they don’t like him now as they got older they finally realised he is manipulative and all that.
7:41 Poor Bonnie, trying to move teleporting hostages is a pretty unforgiving task 16:02 Awwwwww 30:37 Always wondered how Edith knew AJ was a boy. By that evidence, seems like she assumes every child is a boy 😂 Also that Carver's nose is about as big as his whole head 😂
The Great Fish It worked the first time though. The majority picked got the Jane endings over Kenny's. Looking back in it now, the people who got the Jane endings probably regret it a lot. Some even justify their reasoning but again, when you look back in it and knew what would happen, people would pick Kenny.
I still say kill Kenny because the bad writing made him seem off his rocker and then leave Jane, but his endings are good and do a 180 of his character where he is his old self again. It makes no sense. I wouldn’t kill Kenny in the moment if his behaviour up to then wasn’t so awful.
The scene with Kenny leaving us at Wellington would've been sadder if they had him force us to stay if we pick to go with him, idk how he'd force us but it would've been deep. That and we wouldn't have the flashback from season three.
So there was nothing cut from Sarah? I liked her as a character, and wished she would have survived, and she might have if her father was honest with her, and prepared her for a life in this new world, I wonder if there were arguments in the house about this?
They should have made it so that when the ice breaks your options are: Save Sarah or Save Nick. If you save Sarah then Bonnie hates you. If you save Nick then he will hate you.
+Jshaw71 They should have made the Russians full-fledged villains/antagonists. After all, judging by the tattoos on one of them, he was either a bratva mobster or Neo-Nazi.
To clear this up. The cannon ending is Kenny lives and Jane dies Season 3 shows Kenny more while Jane suicides. The cannon ending is that Kenny dies from the car accident eaten alive by walkers.
PyschXxKiddo that is the culmination of his arc. He started the story a man who would do anything to protect his family, even sacrificing someone else’s (Shawn Greene.) When his family is taken away from him, he’s left with nothing but anger and guilt at his inability to end Duck’s suffering. But, he is given a chance to redeem himself with Ben, and he takes it, doing for Ben what he couldn’t for Duck. Season 2 reverts Kenny to his old ways- antagonistic, violent, quarrelsome, belligerent, miserable and depressed, and even worsens these qualities, turning him into a monster and a shadow of the man he used to be. Honestly, shooting Kenny at the end of Season 2 is an act of mercy more than anything else, putting to rest a man who had long since died already.
You forgot to mention that the Russians were supossed to talk in English a lot in EP4 (unused voice lines) and that Natasha was called Maude since her model is called in files
Nah, I didn't forget I just left it out intentionally. I thought about showing it but the video was getting too long and I didn't feel like it was worth keeping.
Thank you for bringing these videos to the public! Such in-depth description and detail...Although, next time warn us if you're going to show us the Kenny ending, because I wasn't expecting to cry at the end of your video, haha.
The fact that not only the animations of shooting jane exists, but also the decision box shows how far developed this scene was until they decided to make it so you can only shoot kenny
27:34 actually, because of the way Jane is sat when she gets shot (it’s the way she’s sat when you’ve shot kenny) I think this animation would’ve actually played after you have already killed kenny. **Similar to how you can shoot kenny after you let him kill jane.**
Rewrites and shifting people all over the place. Wolf Among Us finale was happening at the same time along with production on Minecraft/Tales were beginning to start this early on and everything was really out of focus. My guess is they were running out of time and resources to come up with good stuff and were just like 'Fuck it, make it Jane vs Kenny'.
Figured as much. You know the more I think about the execution of Nick's ep4 death, the more I think it has to do with all the rewrites. If his voice actor was truly "unavailable" at the time, it must've been due to the last minute rewrites. Like you said in your last video, it wouldn't be hard to imagine that he couldn't record his lines for that episode early on, if he knew that he was going to be busy with other things.
How to win in Telltale's The Walking Dead edition: Make a two-story house. Make a coop and a greenhouse on the second floor. Destroy all stairs and ladders connecting the second floor to the first. Eat eggs, potatoes and spinach forever.
Great video, wish they would’ve left the option to kill Mike. Don’t really get why they took it out, it would make more sense why Arvo shoots Clem and Mike isn’t seen again anyways
The percentage of people who picked that one ending out of all possible endings is probably too small for them to bring back the character and actor for anything meaningful... but hey, you can dream! Or just believe that, for that ending, Kenny is still out there alive somewhere, even if we don't meet him again.
I was trying to sleep when suddenly I started thinking about what season 2 could've been. At 3 am. Fuck We need more videos about this, I think some things got discovered through the ps4 and Xbox one remasters
I do have a special followup video for my s2 stuff that I think you'll like, but not for a while. Still a few more things I want to do first. As for the collection editions, I checked the files of those two and I did find one or two things but nothing major. Just unused items like a holster for Carlos. Nothing major, sadly.
I swear, episode 4 is that mysterious. From screen to act game models and unused contents, episode 4 is just so bizarre and wish we could get more info on Season 2
Oh men that scene even from years now still gets me in the feels. I use to remember playing the game and getting to the ending. I picked to leave because Kenney was an charater we all grew to attached.
To think that there’s already quite a bit of cut content of season 2 and that I bet there was even more on storyboards, scrapped scripts, content on hard drives, saved data on computers, etc. Crazy to think how there’s probably such more to season 2 that could’ve/should’ve happened and what a colossal clutter the season was.
No idea what tools you use to show all of this stuff, but really that's an impressive piece of work! I'm a huge fan of this game and to see what other ideas Telltale had is really cool. I'm also interested in the process of making games, especially in games massively focused on story and TWD S1 & S2 had the best story writing I've ever seen. You're videos make me think about that more. You'll probably run out of content sooner or later, nontheless, I can't wait to see more vids from you :)
I Think Carver's Beta Model is a leftover from when Kenny was originally going to be the Main Antagonist (noticed his Moustache and Nose looking like Kenny's) it that model is an Edited version of Kenny's (antagonist) Model from that Scrapped idea which is why he has a nose and stache that looks like Kenny's
I remember seeing years ago a leaked datamined choice from "no going back" asking if the player had helped kenny take care of aj or luke trying to fix a car, maybe the original vehicle the group would try to fix was the car seen here, explaining why it originally had an achievement for finding it, as it was supposed to be an important part of ep5.
Actually, Lee said zombie in S1E1 when Glenn radios Lee for help in the drug store. Even the game acknowledges walkers as zombies when you first get to the motel. Also this series is suppose to be in continuity with the comics (even though there are contradictions and things that just don’t make any sense when referencing each other) where characters referred to walkers as zombies for a good amount of time.
That Carver model though....If you've seen the preview trailer for Episode 2 (next time on the Walking Dead), you'll notice someone who looks more like beta Carver with a camouflage suit (like Troy) is in the door.
These videos are so freaking cool! It's really interesting to see what TTG had planned. I also really admire the amount of effort and dedication that's gone into these videos. Is it possible you'll be doing Season 1? I completely understand that these take a while, I was just wondering. :)
Thanks! Also, I'm not sure. A guy named vivec (who pretty much got me and many others into modding and finding these cut scenes) found a bunch of cool stuff from S1 here: ruclips.net/video/VzcA0nHglqg/видео.html
Came for the cut content, stayed for the tear-inducing scene at the end. If this ever gets made into a movie (I doubt it) that ending should be the canon one, as heartbreaking as it is.
Vince actually does appear in Season 2 as a guard. You can only catch a small glimpse of him though. I think you see him talking to Tavia during the part where you grab the two walkie-talkies. (so sneky)
Jane telling that joke to Clementine seems very out of character for her. Perhaps they did this to establish Jane’s poor social skills and inability to discern right from wrong, but I still feel like she doesn’t have enough of a sense of humour to want to tell Clementine a joke.
She sees clem as older than she really is, and I think she lived a little vicariously though clem by trying to convince clem to be on her side instead.

God damn.
I agree :'(
Which ending?
jacoblgames The ending in which Clem and AJ are left at Wellington by Kenny, the end of the video basically.
Last of us is sad but a lot of people make it sadder than it actually is. It's sad that Sarah died but we all could assume that she was going to die since Joel ends up with another young girl.
Team Kenny: Save the group through action
Team Jane: Save only those who can save themselves
Yeeeahh...I’m for Team Kenny
Kevin Yo team jane is for people that think for whom they care
Kevin Yo team jane is for people that think for whom they care
Team Jane sounds like Crawford from Season 1
Rory Johnson i picked team jane. And also tean kenny. But let be honest. To me kenny was a psychopath in episode 5 so he had to die.
CornNick102 _cru Jane was a psychopath by putting a baby in the car. She knew what Kenny was capable of and still did it. In my opinion she had to die for her actions.
Really wish they would have used everyone yelling and panicking at the end of ep 3.
I don’t know why but I found that so funny
Moon The magnificent I know 😂 "Kenny! Sh*t! Rebecca! F**k!" LOL it made me laugh
spotty112 2 I mean it would of made sense
I'm still kind of annoyed that Mike wasn't the one who attacked Christa in the woods, it seemed that the writers in EP1 had a mystery set up with her but just dropped the ball, they also made her pregnancy pointless to the overall story of the series.
In the original script Christa was meant to have a large role, but when the original creators of twd s1 left, they wrote new scripts
@@HitByAPlanesource about Christa original story?
@user-lu4yv9ld4u it's on this channel, some of it is educated guesses
@@user-lu4yv9ld4uThe creator actually posted a video about that so you can easily find it but it is true. :D

Imagine what they could have done if they expanded the endings in season 3. Staying at Wellington, leaving with Kenny, with the people, without them or on my own
That might be rather complicated as that could involve essentially making several different games as one.
Yeah I agree im glad tho she gets better by the end of the season thankfully. Hopefully in season 4 they will make it right.
Tails Gaming, watched the s4 preview and i'm generally excited for the story.
Yeah im pretty excited for it too.
7:51 love how Bonnie just pauses for a moment after Sarah’s character model randomly teleports back. She’s like “wait… didn’t I already get you?”
Idk why but Beta Carver cracks me up
Marco // PurpleSilverKid that sash! And nose lol
It scared me 😂😂
something about his stache doesnt seem right. But still nothing can beat Kennys powerful stache B)
9:18 KENNY! Carver stole kenny's mustache
I haven't cried for a while, it felt good. Thanks for putting that Wellington part at the end.
I'm... glad I made you cry? The Wellington ending always makes me tear up no matter when I see it. It was not an easy scene to edit!
I didnt ever like kenny tbh
@@Tatocat Neither did I, my canon playthrough has Clem shot him after he kills Jane, because she realizes what a Monster he has become.
If you shot Kenny we can’t be friends
watch 'Why We Dont Talk about Kenny' its a video here on youtube, perfectly describes why i shot Kenny and left Jane
@Ethan Johnson damn bro, i went with kenny but that was too funny
@@Gibbypastrami people aren't gonna get it, I shot Kenny too
Y'all lame if ya shot Kenny fr
I never did but i still stayed at Wellington
7:41 Poor Bonnie, trying to move teleporting hostages is a pretty unforgiving task
16:02 Awwwwww
30:37 Always wondered how Edith knew AJ was a boy. By that evidence, seems like she assumes every child is a boy 😂
Also that Carver's nose is about as big as his whole head 😂
29:56 LMFAO. “didn’t mean to scare your little boy” 30:39 “jacket and baseball cap threw me off” 💀
Not gonna lie beta Carver scared the shit out of me more than any walker ever has
even tho the shoot jane option is buggy it looks like she got shot in the head
When Kenny left clementine at wellington I actually cried ;-;
28:03 I thought it was because it was obvious that players would shoot Jane
Yup, but I just wanted to add some context anyway from Kenny himself.
The Great Fish It worked the first time though. The majority picked got the Jane endings over Kenny's. Looking back in it now, the people who got the Jane endings probably regret it a lot. Some even justify their reasoning but again, when you look back in it and knew what would happen, people would pick Kenny.
Cody The Average gamer I like jane
I still say kill Kenny because the bad writing made him seem off his rocker and then leave Jane, but his endings are good and do a 180 of his character where he is his old self again. It makes no sense. I wouldn’t kill Kenny in the moment if his behaviour up to then wasn’t so awful.
The scene with Kenny leaving us at Wellington would've been sadder if they had him force us to stay if we pick to go with him, idk how he'd force us but it would've been deep. That and we wouldn't have the flashback from season three.
"Jane never fires a gun in the whole game"
*Actually, she fires someone's balls*
I kinda prefer how season 2 turned out over the darker alternative that was seemingly cut
...except for episode 4. Episode 4 coulda been alot better
So there was nothing cut from Sarah? I liked her as a character, and wished she would have survived, and she might have if her father was honest with her, and prepared her for a life in this new world, I wonder if there were arguments in the house about this?
Sadly, no.
Just curious, thought I would ask, thanks for the reply
They should have made it so that when the ice breaks your options are: Save Sarah or Save Nick. If you save Sarah then Bonnie hates you. If you save Nick then he will hate you.
jacoblgames they should have done so many things, in season 2, at the lake I am not sure what should have happened other than Luke not dying of course
+Jshaw71 They should have made the Russians full-fledged villains/antagonists. After all, judging by the tattoos on one of them, he was either a bratva mobster or Neo-Nazi.
Once Kenny handed the hat I could not hold back tears
9:18 That explains why clem says he has a mustache though he had a *beard the mustache wasn't noticeable*
To clear this up.
The cannon ending is Kenny lives and Jane dies
Season 3 shows Kenny more while Jane suicides. The cannon ending is that Kenny dies from the car accident eaten alive by walkers.
The canon ending is Kenny dies after shooting Ben.
theskinman19 🤦🏾♂️
Honestly, shooting Kenny at the end of Season 2 is an act of mercy more than anything else, putting to rest a man who had long since died already.
theskinman19 dude if that was the canon ending then he wouldn’t pop up on season 2
PyschXxKiddo exactly.
i may not love Season 2, but all that cut dialogue at the end DEFINITELY shouldve stayed, i honestly have no clue why it didnt, that was beautiful
If you picked shoot Kenny then please reconsider life
How about stfu
DeltaOutlaw93 Yeah, you.
I choosed after he killed Jane. Cause he was all fucked up and hurt,I thought he would become a Walker..."i did what had to be done"
this is why I am ok with my choice to shoot Kenny
ruclips.net/video/vGl12Sv9SNs/видео.html
both of 'em died on my run so yeah
You forgot to mention that the Russians were supossed to talk in English a lot in EP4 (unused voice lines) and that Natasha was called Maude since her model is called in files
Nah, I didn't forget I just left it out intentionally. I thought about showing it but the video was getting too long and I didn't feel like it was worth keeping.
+InColdBlood Maybe a follow-up video?
Fucking Kenny
7-8 years later
And you still got me tearing
Thank you for bringing these videos to the public! Such in-depth description and detail...Although, next time warn us if you're going to show us the Kenny ending, because I wasn't expecting to cry at the end of your video, haha.
TWD Kenny narcissistic much huh Kenny lol
The fact that not only the animations of shooting jane exists, but also the decision box shows how far developed this scene was until they decided to make it so you can only shoot kenny
Hi! , i been seeing your videos from deleted content of twd etc... , and actually are pretty god! :D
YOU ARE THE BEST! :D
27:34 actually, because of the way Jane is sat when she gets shot (it’s the way she’s sat when you’ve shot kenny) I think this animation would’ve actually played after you have already killed kenny. **Similar to how you can shoot kenny after you let him kill jane.**
God damn that ending with Kenny makes me cry every single time. To me that scene is sadder than lee dying at the end of episode one.
Sad there isn't much in Amid the Ruins...or at least what remains. Seriously, what the hell happened after episode 3?
+SargeantMario101 You think they could have just delayed episodes? They do make these games independently.
9:12 Gotta take care of your 'stache Carver.
How to win in Telltale's The Walking Dead edition:
Make a two-story house.
Make a coop and a greenhouse on the second floor.
Destroy all stairs and ladders connecting the second floor to the first.
Eat eggs, potatoes and spinach forever.
XDDDDDD
Great video, wish they would’ve left the option to kill Mike. Don’t really get why they took it out, it would make more sense why Arvo shoots Clem and Mike isn’t seen again anyways
10:39 WAS SENDING ME HOLY HELL
Season 1: too sad for me Why Lee:(
Season 2: Couldn't kill Kenny
Cause he my buddy
I hope Kenny returns in season 4 if you stay at Wellington
Noe Lemus doubt it. They pretty much killed him off tbh.
Noe Lemus yus
Noe Lemus nope...
The percentage of people who picked that one ending out of all possible endings is probably too small for them to bring back the character and actor for anything meaningful... but hey, you can dream! Or just believe that, for that ending, Kenny is still out there alive somewhere, even if we don't meet him again.
at this rate he probably be in wheelchair
I was trying to sleep when suddenly I started thinking about what season 2 could've been. At 3 am. Fuck
We need more videos about this, I think some things got discovered through the ps4 and Xbox one remasters
I do have a special followup video for my s2 stuff that I think you'll like, but not for a while. Still a few more things I want to do first. As for the collection editions, I checked the files of those two and I did find one or two things but nothing major. Just unused items like a holster for Carlos. Nothing major, sadly.
12:16 She did, but Offscreen, it was when Carver was Beeting Kenny, she was trying to find the other walkie talkie
I still cry at the Kenny and Wellington scene
The Kenny dialogue made me cry at the end...
16:14 While you hear their voice, play a soundtrack called "A Storm Coming"
And you will realize how this scene will be tense.
20:50 I remember that happening to me when I was playing on ps3 XD, pretty weird to find out your choice all of a sudden became non-cannon
Also the original Carver model gave me the creeps! D8
Beta Carver: I'll borrow your stache, Kenny.
I got teary eyed watching a cut content video because of the ending part
I Think Carver's Beta Model is a leftover from when Kenny was originally going to be the Main Antagonist (noticed his Moustache and Nose looking like Kenny's) it that model is an Edited version of Kenny's (antagonist) Model from that Scrapped idea which is why he has a nose and stache that looks like Kenny's
17:22 listen closely, Nick’s lines can be connected.
BTW AMAZING JOB DUD!
Carvers beta model looks like David from the last of us
Actually, Lee said zombie in S1E1 when Glenn radios Lee for help in the drug store. Even the game acknowledges walkers as zombies when you first get to the motel.
Also this series is suppose to be in continuity with the comics (even though there are contradictions and things that just don’t make any sense when referencing each other) where characters referred to walkers as zombies for a good amount of time.
17:06 I feel bad for Luke.. nobody wants to listen to him..

16:12 feels eery and sinister and I love it
Are we just gonna ignore "Jane topping Kenny" 😂
Am I the only one who likes Matthew and Walter’s beta models more than the final?
Came for the cut content, stayed for the tear-inducing scene at the end. If this ever gets made into a movie (I doubt it) that ending should be the canon one, as heartbreaking as it is.
Vince actually does appear in Season 2 as a guard. You can only catch a small glimpse of him though. I think you see him talking to Tavia during the part where you grab the two walkie-talkies. (so sneky)
he doesnt have a gun though
True, but he appears as a guard anyways.
I love unused/cut content. Any more season 3 cut content?
16:03 My FAVORITE part
Thanks for making it longer so I won't sleep in class
Congrats on 1k and thanks so much for showing this stuff, I hope you do other telltale series one day, or maybe even season 4!
Thanks for the upload
I laughed at the "shut up, chickens!" part 😂
They should’ve kept all of the Wellington voice lines
Anyone else get a little freaked out when it showed the character models? Like they're just standing still but have dead eyes and it freaks me out
I would've given Jane the same facial expression at 20:39 XD
That part when Clem says please in the saddest way possible gave me ptsd and makes me cry anytime I hear it.
