This was a great episode, so much of what you were both talking about resonates with me a lot. Not sure if this helps but Alia, when you were talking about your self doubt and how you are always wanting to please everyone and make sure that everyone loves the things you do/your content just as much as you do, I feel like that could stem from possibly the way you were raised. I struggle with the same battle within myself all the time and after years of trying to overcome that and figure out where it comes from, I realized that I was raised in a household that had many expectations of me. My parents were always telling me what I should do, who I should be, always making me explain myself to them etc, and although they might have had good intentions because they want the best for me, it messed me up mentally because now I feel like I have to always please everyone around me and get their approval. Which is so wrong! There are billions of people in the world and we all have such different perspectives/opinions because we have experienced such different lives. Not everyone is going to appreciate & understand the things you are passionate about, but there are plenty who do and who will. And those people are all that should matter. Those people need you! Keep doing what you do. You guys are doing great and inspiring so many people. Love y’all!
I loved the realness in this episode, I totally felt what Alia was talking about and I loved Yoni's encouragement! You need to have a special episode for your 5 year anniversary!!!
BREAK IT DOWN!!! I LOVED this episode, guys!!! I relate A LOT to Alia. Actually, I didn't know I could relate to someone as much in that sense. I thought I was on my own when it comes to that level of self-doubt.. believing and being certain about criticism I have not been actually told in my life. It's crazy how much our minds play tricks on us! I love you guys, honestly! Your content is soooo authentic, refreshing! Please, keep doing you 💕 that's why we are here! Also, Alia, I started listening to this podcast after coming across your RUclips channel! Your content and your vibe, girl, they are so good! Keep doing you!!!
break it down! 💖couldn't agree more about how important over communicating is! it's helped my partner and i throughout the years! 😊also I really look up to Alia's channel and her content is so inspiring, block out the noise Alia - your creativity and ability to connect with hundreds and thousands of people is seriously special! thanks for another great ep guys, it makes my day!
i’m from WA myself and i just absolutely love that i came across Alia, and now for some reason just finally checking out your guys podcast! i just do big cheers inside when i see those from Seattle working and having like minded conversations like this! 🖤
Low key awkward listening to the pod on the bus during my commute because I keep on smiling and laughing out loud 😂 I’ll break it down for Yoni lolll : - loved the whole pod, it’s refreshing to hear people discuss topics like this that I always think that I must be the only one in the world to overreact when my bf talks to me so I totally relate - love that Alia and Yoni compliment each other in their personalities and give different opinions - Alia you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself when you talked about putting this pressure on putting out the coolest content, youre amazing, all of your content is fire, and honestly people on RUclips love you for your personality, I actually miss your older vlogs where you would talk more, it makes vlogs more relatable - when Alia was talking about raspberries and Yoni says : I hate raspberry and Alia reply’s : oh ok 😂 that was amazing! Love you too and love this Pod !!!
Intentional listening and healthy communication is a true form of compassion and I love seeing that between you two. ❤Relationships are a unique and humbling experience and learning to grow and work with others, as people who have experienced life differently, takes a lifetime of work. The fact that you two can take conversations to a deeper level is a beautiful thing.
this podcast is slowly improving. The last podcast was like "Hmm, I don't get it, so I won't say anything." Alia will keep you honest; however, she will stretch her argument long after her argument has been reasoned away "often with an unconsidered rejection of criticism." She is good for Yoni. Yoni's personality fits like a glove. I do wish this couple the best. I would like to hear talk, as if, they did their homework
it's so interesting to hear the self doubt that people go through behind the scenes. Alia, I was hooked to your RUclips from the day that I found you on my explore page. I hope this doesn't sound like a slight because it definitely isn't, but I loved that your content was so chill & relatable. You weren't doing the most & I thoroughly enjoyed that. I found RUclips becoming too production-heavy & just so unrealistic sometimes. You mentioned it before in another pod episode, but there's always someone out there that will like the content YOU put out despite how over saturated the space may be. Wholeheartedly agree with Yoni in that you just need to be yourself & tune out all the unecessary noise (easier said than done, I know). And it's funny to hear you say you don't think you're "cool" when that was one of the reasons I gravitated towards your channel (as in..I thought u were cool haha). We're always our own harshest critics, but don't change your shit Alia!
Alia can I say first of all that you're so brilliant. The content you've put out in the past (been rocking w you for a while) up until now and all the things you've creatively ventured into have been so inspiring, and even this - the relationship both you and Yoni share, I've found to be so impactful. I know at times it's easy to get carried away and let that outside negative voice win, but just here to let you know that the stuff you do matters and very dope too might I add, your own creativity and all of who you are. You leave an impact through what you create by uniquely being you as you've been, those who are for you will make their way here and love what you do and the rest you don't have to worry so much about. Just a reminder that your supporters love you for what you do and who you already are, and not trying to prevent you from trying anything new here but it's your originality that has drawn us to you : )
Alia I’ve been keeping up w your channel for a while now and I have to say you’re so dope! Watching your videos makes me feel good regardless of it being “cool” or “trendy”. You being you makes watching worthwhile🫶🏽
I wanted to say to Alia that her videos are literally the most creative and original content that i see on RUclips, because you transmit so much through them and its genuine, thats why i fell in love with your channel❤ keep being you💌
Alia, maybe you must watch your first videos to remember why people started following you. That's it, we watch your videos because because we like you, but I can tell in your latest videos (since you started talking showing your nails and blonding your hair) you're trying to be different... Keep being you, the way you dress is great, with no fancy stuff and that bullshit, your personality is beautiful, DON'T CHANGE!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
Break it down!! This was one of my fav pod episodes yet. ❤ Also have fun in SF! Just visited in December and got engaged there! California sun just hits different than Seattle sun.
BREAK IT DOWNN This episode though 🔥thank you guys for always keeping it real. The only podcast I ever commit myself to listen and watch and even comment on because of that!
Loved this episode!!! I have a question though, how much work is too much work in a relationship? Because you guys talk a lot about how you have to put in work for a relationship to actually last and be healthy, which I totally agree with… but how do you know when it’s just too much work y’a know? Like a relationship shouldn’t be so difficult that you constantly have to think about the right thing to say or do right? Anyways I feel like maybe that could be a really cool topic you guys could talk about 🤗🤗
Break it down!!!Loved this episode ❤❤ Alia you are amazing I love all your vlogs and yoni you should really start a RUclips channel that would be dope asf
Real red table talk now 😂 love it. My wife assumed that too so she is right it's basically have to think 💬 before you say things when you in a relationship. By talking about it is definitely the key 🗝️🔐
Haha Home Cinema Watcher over here😄🙌 Love this as a weekly ritual with a cup of hot cocoa. But this week I had to listen in the car. Still awesome! Love you guuuys, break it doooown♥️
Break it down! My mom TOTALLY does the things where she'll lose all attention towards me when I'm talking to her. She'll be people watching and eavesdropping. I get her attention back, and then she gets mad at me for disturbing what she was doing even though I was in the middle of talking when her attention began to drift. My ex was like that too.
I swear that whole discussion at the start is basically describing self-consciousness/insecurity. Someone (Yoni) says something general around someone else (Alia) and that person takes it to be about them, when it isn't.
But where did that come from? They need someone to figure that out for them (professionally). If not, they’ll keep repeating the same cycle of “misunderstanding”.
this was such a great episode, felt like a worth paying therapy session🤍i felt alia most of the time. and the pet peeves you both talked about in off-topic segment are also making me sooo angry like..listen to me!!!

Would you do an episode talking books/ music/ movies?

i think alia’s insecurities come from perfectionism tho.

we need to hold an intervention for Yonie's milk consumption.
Your RUclips channel is what brought me to the podcast so keep grinding and keep putting excellent content like those 😊

20:54 I agree with Alia.
Although Yoni might be generalizing, it does come off as if he's "taking a jab".
This is what I needed to hear.
