@@GeneralShiba_ would love a absolute beginners guide for someone coming straight from a more standard RTS (e.g. some use to just selecting a blob of units). Covering things like when to control units, basic tips and tricks, common mistakes etc
Amazing guide, sub worthy. The "little" details: like what all the buttons do is super helpful and very much needed. I've watched numerous guide videos and they all fail to highlight the small details, well done!
Really good tutorial, I've been playing games like these but doesn't mean I won't have problems keeping everything I even played the tutorials. This is just so much better so I could master everything.
the thing that i hate is how long the early defence missions feel when the AI send like 2 squads and a mg at you and then you just sit there doing nothing untill the points fill
It's good time to do repairs, resupply units (I've heard that's cheaper than resupply army after battle), salvage enemy equipment (you can sell enemy artillery, vehicle units after battle) or salvage better weapons for your soldiers while doing micro. But keep in mind, that after battle they would like to resupply to default equipment. You can also level up experience of your tank crews for example, when you will crush/desteoy empty enemy guns.
Ok the only thing I would add is that you shoud be using scouts for those guys hanging around (greater vision) and you should 1000% be using officers with binoculars doing the "attack ground" command on the flag or building to scout out points
Great conquest review. How about a guide on the unit icons? There is some new stuff with the lsst patch that added some icons on units in the inventory screen. Or a guide for defensive tactics.. engineers, miners, barbed wrie, tank traps, etc. Just a couple ideas.
Brilliant. Thanks. Have subscribed and liked. Just started playing this game and this helped no end. Going to check out the rest of your play list now. Hoping to find a USA conquest. Many thanks.

@GeneralShiba_ im playing since yesteday, coming from coh. Its really overhelming at first, but puzzlepieces start to fall into their places slowly :D thanks for the vid. Right now when you said a panzer4F is needed for the kw i was facing them in a hopeless defence with tje 5cm pak38 xD
Nice man, it's super fun and makes CoH look like an arcadey mobile phone game imo 😂 If you dont have anything that can pen the KV you can track it with whatever you do have then throw AT grenades and satchels at it once you've cleared the infantry 👌
What’s the difference between the box on the left and the box on the right? It’s not making much sense. Do you put all your troops in the box on the left and your equipment on the right? Is the box on the left your initial deployment and the box on the right Reinforcements later?
@@ThrobRoss hey mate, do you mean in the menu during the setting up stage? If so the left box is all the units which can include infantry, tanks etc, middle is your units that you've got available to select and then you'll drag them into the right one and that is what you will deploy in the next mission. I hope that makes sense. :)
@@GeneralShiba_ yes, that’s what I’m talking about. I thought the left one was all of the available units, the middle box is what you deploy. So I guess the right box is what you deploy? that whole menu is quite confusing. Thanks for the response! And great video!
@@GeneralShiba_ I’ve been dragging my units to the middle box thinking that’s what I will deploy and then putting a little extra in the right box thinking those are my reinforcements.
It does, generally means higher veterency means more accuracy and higher health, stamina etc and they tend to get better weapons and more equipment. :)
Mate, got a question. On the campaign map, you can sometimes attack points thats arr behind the frontline, depending on the strategic map layout. Can you cut off entire sections/the enemy this way ?
Do you mean by going for the second point in between the reinforcements and the first point? Because you could but itd leave you fighting a two front battle which could be fun though 👍
@@GeneralShiba_ I think so, yeah. Like for example im playing through my first dynamic campaign rn, and I just defended for the first time. So I can attack three points now, from two points I control. the northern point just leads to another point if i follow the line. The southern point however is connected to the other point I can attack like a triangle. So in the south i can either attack in a straight line or i can attack the point behind it from the north. Since its only connected to my frontline and the other point i can attack from the north, it looks like I can cut the point off if I succeed in taking the second point
@@peacefulfren8879 yeah you could do that, just watch out as you will get flanked and enemy reinforcements also come from multiple directions so you can find yourself caught out very easily. I usually find once you take the first point you can wait for the enemy to come to you then walk onto the second 👌
Sorry mate, have another question. Can you give units upgraded weapons ? If I have a tank squad with veterancy and I research a better tank, can I give the veteran tankers the new and better tank, or are they stuck with what they come ? Same for AT and such. Currently have a few veteran AT and Tanker units but upgraded to better AT and Tanks now, so wondering if I can give them the better gear
No worries at all mate. You can but to do so you gotta do it in game so youd remove the crew of your P3 for example and put them in the P4. You can also give your inf better weapons but beware of enemy small arms as I believe you wont get ammo for those weapons. Enemy captured vehicles etc you can resupply still though. :)
@@GeneralShiba_ Ahh cheers mate, figured that was the way to do it. Wish there was a way to do it in the menu, but as long as it works. And yeah haha, been outfitting most of my starting Infantry Squads with PPDs and PPSHs and AT rifles. Theyre decked out. Altough im also playing on easy just trying to get a feeling for the Game. GoH Ostfront is my first RTS and getting used to microing and getting familiar with all the different Abilities is a pain in the beginning, but im also having a blast in conquest. Also mate, your community interaction is amazing, made me subscribe ! Keep it up
As good as conquest is there is definitely a lot of things they could do to improve it. Being able to upgrade veteran crews to better vehicles without having to muck around in game would be a cool addition to the game! Its definitely worth playing a few runs on easy to get a feel for the game, eventually itll become to easy versing the AI though 😂 I appreciate that man! If you are the host you should be able to pause in Multiplayer anyway, I don't have a pause button so I've made mine (Left CTRL+Left Shift) but if you have skype it can cause it not to work, or at least it used to.
