Custom recovery can be installed after you unlock bootloader you can check RUclips and find the process or you can sideload as well but I will prefer custom recovery
Why pay almost thousand dollars to root then possibly ruin my phone for 10 or 15extra options Ill keep with nova launcher prime but everyone else go have fun risking your 800 to thiusand dollar phone Hope the soft brick monster bites you
You can root to delete the system apps which consume lots of ram like in my poco f6 there are more then 15 apps which are useless to me never used and delete them and then unroot the phone

This is clearly NOT for ANY phone running 14. Just redmi phones and other phones with an unlocked bootloader.

I copied what you did but 2 problems i see no folder like the one you ussed for magisk and magisk didnt copy itself
