It’s interesting to me that your milk comes in 3 pints. Here in USA we get 1 quart (2 pints), half gallon (4 pints), and gallon (8 pints). Your baked beans were 37 cents US dollars. I priced Kroger brand baked bean 425 grams/ 15 ounces at 1.49 US dollars. The baked beans at Aldi are 28 ounces for 2.05 US dollars. I was thinking the prices over there are lower than here. Now I know they are. Amazing! 😊
our milk comes in litres Jenny with the difference in pints also written on the label, it used to be pints before we joined the common market, i still think in pints as i was taught that way as a child, maybe the wages are more in the US that maybe why your prices are a lot more than ours, our minimum wage in the UK is £11.44pence per hour..
Sheila each state sets its own minimum wage. I’m in West Virginia (in Appalachia) where ours is 8.75 dollars per hour. The calculator says that is 6.63 pound sterling. We are one of the poorest states- used to be big coal mining. Most of those jobs are gone, especially in last 3 years with all the green energy people in charge. Some of the bigger states have a $15.00 dollar/hour minimum wage. The cost of living is higher there. I find it fascinating to compare and contrast lifestyles. I’m a retired nurse and so enjoy your channels. Be blessed!
