Hi, instead of that board with the adjustable voltage on it, get a tp4056 with protection (dwo1) change the resistor to pin 2 on the chip (same as you done here), and you’ll never have to worry about a fire , considering the board provides great protection to any battery without it. i have new 8.4 volt li-ion battery, /i think change old battery little better my table vacuun motor, what module need order can charge good this battery, i looking aliexpress many chargers, but lot have cheap 1A charger only, need be little better about 2-3A charger, battery have 6 pcs 18560 cell 8000Mah. i thin k not have safety board in battery, i not has open scrimp plastic cover. this is aliexpress battery. 6 cell 8000mAh, 8,4 volt. li-ion.
Sorry but you will have to check with someone else. My experience is only with small Li-ion batteries, and it is very limited. Would not want to give out bad info since Li-ion can go bang if done improperly.

Getting it with the discharge protection is the way to go.
