In Muay Thai rules Buakaw all day every day. He just ragdolled him.
But for some reason, he decided to play like Lerdsila, hands low... Skills, vision, reflex are still there. Just felt there was less pop on his shots as before.
Not a big loss, hopefully we see him soon again.

Buakaw is such a dominant fighter. He flows like a fish in water. He's comfortable and confident. Nice fight. I think he coulda gone back to work right after that kick and actually win if the ref and judges had let him. but whatever.
True...on my score card he won. But he got points off for wrestling him to the ground. So that's that.
Well, to became a legend you need to beat a legend. Buakaw is a great warrior but sooner or later some young lion comes to challenge the old one... and wins! Congrats to Stoyan!
Stoyan played well...but was far from overpowering an old lion.

Wow that was crazy, that kick hit Buakaw right in the chin, clean knock down..... Buakaw is truly amazing fighting at his age. Was this a K-1 max fight for the tournament?
In all honesty I though this fight was a draw because both Buakaw and the Glory Title Contender knocked each other down, Buakaw Round 1 and the Contender Round 2 but honestly a pretty close and controversial fight, I was impressed by Buakaw's teeps non the less Gabriel! 🥊
The Bulgarian wasn’t knocked down. It was a slip, so the judge didn’t count it but let them continue. Only Buakaw got dropped in the second round.

Buakaw being 42 is impressive. And seeing him perform like that is amazing. If this was 7 or 15 years ago. This guy would have gotten beaten up. I reckon that buakaws power is not the same and due to the level of competition he has faced along with age . He’s gotten relaxed

One could argue that age is catching up to buakaw. But fails to acknowledge that the Bulgarian was really good. Buakaw at 42 is pretty much at his peak performance and experience. This young fighter is taking down a legend at his peak performance with his experience. So what do you think ? He's effort is pure luck ? I don't think so. His punches are really fast and his kicks are really deadly . If not for buakaw , most might have not lasted against his kicks that hit really hard and fast. We are seeing a new legend.

The rules change a day before the fight. This made Buakhao feel confused. Do marketing for people to see. As a result, Buakaw, who had a higher fee than other fighters in K-1, lost because he couldn't afford to pay Buakaw's fee if he won.😂

@@runkorko The Bulgarian fought well and counter attacked the moment Buakaw striked. He went in when Buakaw tried to hit. The bulgarian won in points. There is no point in being good in your style. Its all about points so the Bulgarian did win and it wasnt even close.

I think judging by the highlights, Buakaw was doing better in the fight , that knock down was good but i dont really see that being enough to win the other guy the fight

Buakaw has gotten too used to his dominance in the clinch. He forgot how to fight without clinching ☝️

Buakaw did well. Actually much better than his opponent. He just got a lucky karate snapping high kick. Because Buakaw is not used to karate style high kicks ☝️ Very deadly and used by Mirko Cro Cop
It was a very good counter. The Kyokushin style front leg round kick is a lot quicker than the rear leg kick and that makes it useful for exactly this kind of situation. I wouldn't say it was luck - Koprivlenski saw Buakaw's kick coming, was poised for it and came back with a counter that was faster than Buakaw was able to get back into stance.

Buakaw won that fight. Besides the Knockdown with 10 seconds to go in the second, He totally out classed him. The actual fight was way different than these highlights. The Bulgarian was good, but that was a BS decision. Buakaw King of Muy Thai!
