I've had my trach for 14 months now, I had a feeding tube as well. I don't see a removal of this device any time soon d/t inability to breath on my own. However I do eat and drink with minimal difficultry. This remains a risk of choking.
I was in coma from car wreck and they put it in cuz my vocals they were afraid it would damage them which finally got it out 28wks later now my voice and air I breathe gets sorry and my voice doesn't sound like before nor can I sing
I can't laugh like before either it takes to much air and in middle of taking I lose my voice and air and got to take air in quickly it's hard to explain
Brings back horrible memories of having one in for a week and a few other factors.
It does supply information....a good one...Thanks you did not add any music....
