Kuravilangad church houses Asia’s biggest church bells. Rev. Fr. Abraham Kaippenplackel purchased these giant bells from Germany in 1911 for Rs.30,000/- and were transported to India by ship. History says that there were 4 bells in total and one of them was lost in the sea during the long journey. The open air cross is carved from a single stone and is 48ft in height. The church was built in 105 AD and has witnessed multiple renovations since then.
