Fun fact! High Noon Jhin was actually one of the original concepts for Jhin. He would be a western bounty hunter whose mechanics would go on to become what is now Kindred.
But Kindred came out earlier than Jhin though.
@@JRPGLOVER that could just mean that they were being worked on simultaneously, and the original Jhin concept was replaced by the modern one, and going on to become Kindred.
@@JRPGLOVER Riot has mentioned they work on many champ concepts at once. Only when they are gearing up for a champs release to they reveal them in any meaningful way. Some champs takes many years to come out from concept to release due to many changes in original design ideas, mechanics, themes, and more changing during the process. Look at Ao Shin and how he was semi teased and then scrapped. Then out comes A Sol whom basically is a recreation of Ao Shin. Hell they even gave him a skin and a TFT thing to show Ao Shin is still there at heart.
This is very common and Jhin was being worked on for a long time. Much of his original kit even was moved to other champs too.
I remember making my own fan champ that was based around wind and swordplay before Fiora and Yasuo came out. It was a design similar to those two combined (old fiora not rework). When both Fiora and then Yasuda came out i couldn't help but laugh.
My original passive was a build up of momentum that would grant him huge bonus attack speed after he hits one of his abilities on a champ. The q is a skill shot line dash that is wider at first, then thinner at the end. It hits all targets in the line and reduces armor on the thin part. W was a shield based on missing health. E was a simple move speed steroid the increased over the duration if he hits with basic attacks. The ult was like Fiora ult except all targets were hit over the duration. It didn't do on hit though was the only difference. He dual wielded katanas and embraced a lot of movement and speed. Obviously I doubt people will believe I came up with this, but many champs that exist now have been thought up by fans before they existed. Not exactly, including designs, but close enough. I have thought up several champs myself, but that was the only one that sort of came into the game via fiora and yasuo. I always just find it funny.
WE NEED A MECHANIC KINDRED SKIN!
it’s actually kindred’s original concept! they were going 2 be a cyborg bounty hunter, jhin’s w is actually semi inspired by an older concept for kindred’s ult which was a thin global shot that would instantly kill anyone they had marked. i’m pretty sure this is why jhin hums the same tune as kindred also
Just goes to show how Jhin is literally one of League's most perfect champion. Riot really hit a jackpot with this one.
Very cool design wise, but I hate having him on my team, an ADC with no DPS just irks me so much
Fun fact: he's named Jhin because if you were to make a line from the letters on a keybord, you get a 4. The only other letter combination that gives you a readable name is Saez and I think we can all agree that Jhin sounds way better.

I'm the other way around.
I try to play ADC sometimes but those high DPS champs make me SUPER dizzy, and Jhin is waaaay better imo, I get to take my time and still dish out high damage.
Perfect for someone like me.
@Jose Manuel Boullosa Aguilera he does damage when played cortectly. He just is shit at killing tanks due to his reload mechanic. Cureently not that good because even assasins currently build tanky, but when tanks get nerfed again hell go right back to his spot at A/S tier
I really like Illaoi and was salty that Jhin was getting so many skins despite being newer than her. Then I played him and like.... okay. I get it.
Jhin is the entire reason why I want a "Random" skin option in champion select, he has so many good skins that it sucks that you can only pick 1 and usually that choice is the most difficult in the entire game, at least for me it is.
Thats a good problem to have imo lol
I wrote a program that does that for me because I have the same problem with my favourite champions. It even chooses the chroma!
Most of my skins are from chests and rerolls while chromas were bought in the blue essence emporiums ¯\_༼ •́ ͜ʖ •̀ ༽_/¯

Mordecai in Borderlands 1 definitely can be replaced with High Noon Jhin (but don’t actually do that because mordecai in bl1 is great)

High Noon Jhin is the only skin (not including Dark Cosmic) to not eject a bullet casing because Whisper is a Revolver in this skinline. Nice that Riot paid close enough attention to that detail.
Jhins release really was lightning in a bottle for Riot. A mysterious row of teasers, a brilliant log in screen and an absolutely phenomenal skin to accompany one of, if not the strongest and most beloved champion designs they've ever put out.

I'd argue against the Empyrean skin line because.... everyone kind of looks like the same (not including prestige k'sante). Maybe Lux stole in a bad way as in "another lux skin?" heh
@@shuraizo2877 There's also the fact that in the music video for the Empyrean skin line, Lux just shows up in the end for no apparent reason other than to say, "Yeah, Lux has another skin, guys."
I'd also add that he has the best skin in the superhero/villain skinline :p
It's legit the only one out of that skin line that I see the respective champion's players constantly use.

And I believe this skin is his original concept/design back when he was called "Marksman" or something like that and I think it's always cool when old concepts gets turned into skins

Jhin is the single greatest designed champ Riot has ever made. Ever. Period. There is no one else in his LEAGUE. HE IS, perfection.
I never fully realized how good this skin was especially compared to his extra limbs DarkStar skin, until I tried imagining it as this weird "villain" in west town cowboy show.
No monster or aliens exist just normal human beings and a very random creepy lengthy murderer who doesn't kill for money or revenge, just to have fun making art.

High Noon Jhin is how Jhin's base concept looked in earlier stages of development and they wanted to honor it with that skin, so it makes sense that it utilizes those unique fun parts of Jhin so perfectly
The sound of his traps and gunshots are what make this skin so great
After your Sandwraith Pyke choice I had an inkling High Noon Jhin would make the cut for his best one. Turning a champion's original concept idea into a launch skin seems to always hit different.
As pretty as his skins are
none of them replaces me the joy of the sound of his explosive autos from the default skin, which is very fitting considering how hard his aas hurt
the sound effect is just perfect, but none of his skins have the same feeling sadly.

That blood moon skin is it for me. I love that skin. When he spawns in or respawns he comes up from ink and flicks the ink off so preppy. Plus him using blood as paint just makes me love the skin more. I feel like a mad man artist really needing more blood to paint a more beautiful picture. Gets me into his theme the most
The revolver wild west sounds when he shoot tha gun is so good
One thing I love on this skin is when he shot his W and R it sound so satisfying

the highnoon jhin skin just has this, "feel" that his other skins don't have, I think its his character design and weapon, but all in all, using this skin just feels, "right", you know what I mean? from the ticking dynamite W to the wild west theme during the ult, its just amazing, and its his first skin too!

I love all of Jhins skins but when I wanna "try hard" I always end up using High Noon. The awesome sound effects add to it as well
some things id like to add.
first, his splash art. High noon jhin is positioned above a ringing church bell, crows flying above. a cacophony of movement and sound, likely to displace even the most hardened shooters. but jhin is still calmly staring down his sights, focused on nothing but his target. The dust coming up from his foot as he steps over the ledge for a better look, the fine scratches on his gun from many years of use, the texturing and shading of his clothes, the scarf fluttering in the high wind... and highlighted further by an almost electric gold, both on his shoulder mounted grenades, and his goggled eyes. just a stunning piece overall, and oddly still for being such an active scene. The silent breath before the shot.
and second, his effects. I know you dont talk about these very much, but the noises that his abilities make, ticking time bombs for his traps and metalic tinging noises for his dancing grenades... and the Ultimate... jhin's ultimate never disappoints, i feel, but the western music as the channel begins, the clear and crisp firing of each shot, it's all just perfect.
For his worst skin? i honestly dont think that even his worlds skins are bad. their aesthetic is strong in both of them, and none of them really miss to me. Empyrean is a spectacle with its pitch black and neon rainbow fire, though i dont believe it offers much more than that. Shan Hai Scrolls is probably the worst, simply because it's not as good as the others. I dunno, it feels a bit... underwhelming, compared to other skins. Certainly not bad. just... not as good. but thats my honest opinion. Hard choice, for sure.
And they say that Shan Hai is his best skin...

the fact that not only this is his launch skin but also his initial scrapped concept just shows how good the idea really was
One funny little detail about this skin I enjoy is that when he reloads, he actually does it significantly faster than the other skins if you listen to the audio surrounding it.
He then proceeds to make up for it by taking a needlessly extra amount of time to spin the loaded revolver barrel for no other reason than to be dramatic.
And high noon jhin was actually how he was supposed to look like and the voice line when he kills teemo is NICE

Personally for me , i love jhin project skin,the sleek,dark cold atmosphere and menancing appreance really suits jhin theme as a enduring charismatic serial killer, not to mention its the FOURTH skin that is been releases for jhin according to date, its just perfect for its FOURTH skin.
I have been waiting for this short for months and I am not dissapointed

I can’t be rational when criticizing jhin , he just hits every right note for a perfect villain, the unhinged energy, the perfectionism and his mannerisms, obsession and THE SOUNDTRACKS everything on him just makes sense
I have almost every Jhin skin, but fsr I’ve always designated High Noon Jhin as my lucky skin for actually trying to win
For a whole 2 seconds I thought his scarf was a slice of meat
Did u know that the "reward hunter" concept was the first Jhin concept, but they discarted it for his base design e put it on this skin, but later they reused it again for Kindred! And thats why the two champions sing the same litte tune sometimes in the game and also it shows the conection and fascination of Jhin with death
