Agree about the Timeshare Sales guys! We own 2 timeshares and have only stayed in a Las Vegas Timeshare every stay since 2002 and every time WE get hit with an invite to the "Owners Meetings" which is code word for sales presentation. We did it once in Las Vegas (got free tickets to TWO shows) but never again!!!!
A good tip is the people that are selling bottled water on the strip for a couple of bucks. We have found that the water is not spring water, its tap water and the bottles are not sealed properly.
Just as an aside in regard to split-staying: every hotel I’ve stayed at in Vegas has allowed me store my luggage with their concierge until check-in time. Just ask them to hold onto it and they’ll give you a ticket to pick it up later at check-time in.
Don’t take a taxi. RENT A CAR!!! You can get ‘em fairly inexpensively 29-32$ a day. BTW sometimes the Uber driver blows you off or doesn’t know the pick up point…the one at Harrah’s is in an odd place.
Pretty sad it's gotten to the point your being warned about 21 scams in Vegas. Especially pertaining to the casinos. Their greed has gotten ridiculous.
As someone who used to work for a company selling time shares ( I Left after I realized all the lies they tell customers and potential customers) when I am approached anywhere by a time share rep I cut them off and say " man your wasting your time, I set up the appointments for you guys." They apologize and back off quickly because they know you know it's a scam!
You two nailed this video. The scams are so bad we have no desire to return to Vegas anytime soon. Here's one I would like to add. About 1.5 years ago we came into town to celebrate my wife's birthday with a Lady Gaga show and dinner. I ordered a bourbon at the resort steak house. When I got my bill the cost of the drink was $3.00 higher than advertised. I questioned the server about the discrepancy and he stated the three dollar charge was for the ice cube, no joke! Vegas has become a huge money pit with ridiculous charges and fees. Thank you for your hard work and educating folks on these scams!
Before you land at the LAS airport you’ve already been ripped off… who remembers not paying to check-in a bag? We’ve now come to accept this just like resort fees!
Southwest Airlines + MGM Gold = no bag check in or resort fees for me!!! At least for now....😬🤐 I just wish the hotels went back to making incidental holds optional. I don't care about making room charges and don't own a credit card
Both times I have been to Vegas there were these guys selling eye cream. When my mom refused to buy their $2,000 eye cream they insulted and yelled at her, calling her poor. They were giving out samples in the shopping centers inside the casinos both times. I always tell people to not take anything from anyone. Even samples.
Yep I remember the eye cream......I let them put it on me and then told them I didnt notice a difference lol they wiped it off me and they were pissed lol
So impressed by this video. I thought this was gonna be the over the top scams you see on other videos. You guys really created a true value video of how not to waste money unknowingly. I go to Vegas several times a year and even I learned new things. Thank you so much for such an informative video!!!
I was forced to live in LV 1996 to 1999 by my now deceased husband. While there I had my wallet stolen out of my purse in a shopping cart. Had my home broken into, jewelry stolen. I asked someone at the newspaper why they did not publish the robberies and thefts in LV. daily. I was told, 'if they did it would fill 2 pages of the newspapers every day,' I kid you not!
I've been to Vegas many, many times (being from LA) but back when I was a Vegas Virgin, I got sucked into a time share presentation. They held us hostage for 4 hours, got incredibly rude when we declined, then refused to give us a ride back to where they picked us up from. We ended up abandoned near Summerlin with a hungry 7 year old. Ended up paying for a taxi, in which the driver was well aware of the time share hustle, and charged us $70 for a ride back to Mandalay. Total scam all the way around. And important thing to remember about Vegas, it's not just the casinos that are after your money. Everyone, everywhere is. Stay on guard, do your research, never be afraid to say "NO." Otherwise, Vegas is a great place! I'm moving there myself shortly.

We were in Vegas last year at the New York New York, and I went to three different machines where it kept printing my ticket for the change and finally talk to somebody they told me I had to go to the cashier and there was a line of about 60 people and we had tickets to go to a show so we had to leave and I was so mad! I wonder how much money they’re making off of that one…
Our native ran casinos do the same thing. Some people get so p.o.'d tey tear up the change vouchers. That makes it an instant donation to the casino. Much better to hand off to someone playing.
@@dmreddragon6 I agree it's best if you have small amount of change on a ticket to just leave it on top of a slot machine...or pass it off to someone coming in the door.
Also avoid getting pick pocketed by being aware of your surroundings while watching street performers. And don't put your purse in the chair next to you! Someone dropped some coins on the other side and when my Grandma picked them up, they took her purse. Another maybe scam is the frozen street performer with a sign to tip to start performance. They won't start unless you give them more than $20
love your videos - you get through the points simply and quickly without unnecessary waffling and padding out of the videos (whilst not leaving out details so we dont know what you are talking about!). I was stunned when I heard about triple zero, 000, getting added to the wheel. I never play roulette, but it proves to me that those who do have no understanding about the basics of any gambling game. Adding another 0 kills the already slim chance of winning. It's amazing how people will accept the lower blackjack pay out and still go to the wheel.
Quite a shame how Vegas has evolved over the years. First trip was in 1995 -- Well after LV's 70's heyday -- but you could still get a steak and lobster tail dinner for $6 at the Stardust, and similar deals up and down the strip. They were loss leaders for which they'd more than make back via the one-arm bandits. I visited a few more times up until about 5 years ago. There were a handful of hotels with no resort fees, now they all pretty much seem to have them, and many are over $40 per night! Then to find out in many cases that resort fee doesn't even cover access to the pool? Then all this nickel and diming for parking, early check-in, and on and on? It's become much more attractive to me to gamble at the nearest tribal casino or on cruise ships. The slots are tighter, and they usually don't provide free booze while you're playing. But I don't feel like I'm being extorted at every turn. Vegas has killed the golden goose.
The Sugar Factory automatically adds 20 percent on your bill as a service charge. Then, it shows tip percentages and has a tip line. Many ppl tip twice not knowing the service charge is a tip. It's a very confusing bill

split-staying isnt that bad if you just drop your luggage with concierge in between your check out at one hotel, and check in time at the next. Same thing if you have a late flight and don't want to drag a suitcase around all day after you check out.
While taxis may be more expensive than Uber normally, surge pricing can make them competitive. This week I was at Resorts World looking for a ride to Flamingo. Both Uber and Lyft were at $10 and required walking to a remote pickup area. Taxi was 50' away and cost $12. Pickup at airport on Sunday morning to Flamingo was $28, while taxi flat rate is $30 and no waiting. I used Uber to airport Thursday afternoon and made the request while in the elevator at Flamingo. It's a bit of a walk to the pickup area and the driver arrived 1 minute before me. Bill had a 70 cent waiting fee applied along with a "booking" fee.
Thanks for sharing your experience, yes, very good point to watch out for surge pricing and any tacked on fees. We have contested unfounded waiting fees previously and had Uber remove them - this happened to us a lot in Mexico City, not so much in Las Vegas.
uber and lyft can be cheaper or more expensive. depends on what's going on and the amount of request vs the amount of drivers on the road or what type of event is going on ...if its busy they will surge...former gig driver
Lived in Vegas for a few years back in the late 80s/early 90s. Had a place in Naked City for a bit before moving over to E. Charleston. Coming back for a visit in a couple of weeks. There were scams and such back then, but nothing like what I'm hearing about these days. Thanks for the video!
We walked right into the timeshare scam. They had a booth out in front of Monte Carlo that said Directions and Information. We were going to ask how far it was to Treasure Island. Next thing we know, we're in a timeshare sales pitch. Learned our lesson. They are aggressive too!!
4 Queens in Freemont Treated me real good. They held my Luggage FREE until I could check in. The Onoy bad thing was that the City of Las Vegas Allows LOUD Drummers at 1,2,3, AM You Can't sleep. So Sad
This is very much the exception, but a street showgirl had a friend snap a pic of us without my consent. When I refused to pay her, she threatened to have me arrested. I threatened to have HER arrested. Again, I suspect that's very rare and I don't judge the rest of them by the actions of this aggressive scammer.
Timeshare presentations are very good actually if you have some spare time. Because getting 2 cirque du soleil tickets for FREE is worth my 90 minutes. Who cares if they’re rude.
Sin City and scams are inseparable that I've not visited Vegas since the year 2000 Millennial ... By the way, I heard the local slang for tourists in Vegas is 'sucker'!
15 years ago just before the real estate crash, I did get sucked into going to a time share by a agent inside the Excalibur Hotel, $50 and free lunch buffets. As I visit Vegas on a regular basis, I thought I would go. It really wasn't with my time. But if I was really here on a special vacation I would be really pissed.
Buldogis on the west side of Vegas Valley recently charged me a "take out" fee without disclosing it on their website, restaurant or when I ordered in person. They said it was for the paper... the food was terrible.
For ATM fees, I'm surprised that you didn't mention CVS, Walgreens, or Target ATMs. Those are Allpoint ATMs, and many banks let you use them for free. If it's not free for you, the fee is still only $3.50. Much less than what the casino ATMs charge.
Fix a price in advance if you want to get a picture taken with the feather girls. They really don’t have any right to charge you at all but if you really want the photo pay a realistic amount. If what they’re charging is too high just simply walk away…
I don't think there has ever been a time Vega$ hotels and casinos have not had a scam or two. Pickpockets used to be pretty bad on the Strip. We've chased away a few timeshare reps and one cried. This vlog is one of your best ones so far really professional.
@@TheMeloettaful well it's a long story but the timeshare folk don't like losing potential prospects.... really don't like the truth in front of crowds.
Great video. I’ve got one for you. Watch out for guys walking around the casino floor asking if you want to buy a “gold ring” it’s not real gold. Lol total scam.
We stayed in vegas over xmas 2 days on fremont stayed at the D free parking, the other three days at Flamingo we have stayed there before free valet . now they charge 36.00 40.00 on weekends 17.00 self park.i can see charging if your not a guest.but was able to check in early at flamingo using self check in, for 10.00 fee.
I love Vegas, but I told my husband one thing before he went with me for the first time. Vegas has one job, and it’s to extract every single last penny from your wallet. If you understand that, then you can prepare for it.
theres an easy way to kill cnf fees. ask beforehand if the restaurant charges them. If they say yes walk away. if they dont tell you and it shows up on your bill dont tip. circle the cnf fee and write that it covers their tip. itll get the employees fed up enough to quit and when they have employee shortages theyll be forced to concede
If you are military, or a veteran, you can get free parking at any Caesars or MGM property. Show a military ID, a VA ID, or a DD 214, and you will get a military players card which gives you comp parking.
The time share reps were so rude. We went in and told them flat out we are only here for the tickets and food vouchers. We just had gotten married and are starting our life together. So no we cant afford it. They had 3 different managers come to us at the end and try to flip us. They embarrassed and berated us, saying, Who cant afford $30.00 a month whats wrong with you its only 30.00 a month. Anyone can afford that. You're a waste of time.
I find it funny that when you talked about the street slappers and showed the guy trying to hand out bracelets. That guy tried to get me and my wife last year when I went to Vegas. I just waved him off and kept on walking. Missed me with that junk....but I did get got by one of the folks in a Disney costume. He let me off easy though. Gave him $10 and learned my lesson.
Vegas “aside from Fremont street” is horrific , every 10 feet vendors and people begging for money when we went a few weeks ago.. the only true party vibe was Fremont street .
Great Video. I did notice at the Street Food Court at Resorts World there was already a fee added to the food when you order from the kiosk. On top of that they still ask for tip! So it's completely possible you are adding 20-30% to your bill.

They won't start unless you give them more than $20
Thanks for that information, will visit vegas in 3 weeks, so its good to know what the scams are. Now i´m prepared!
love your videos - you get through the points simply and quickly without unnecessary waffling and padding out of the videos (whilst not leaving out details so we dont know what you are talking about!). Were heading out there from UK in August for my 40th (my 4th Visit!) but others in the group will be first timers!
Thank so much Grant, happy 40th!!🎉🎉🍾🍾 Do you know what hotel you will be staying at in Las Vegas yet?

If your debit card is part of one of their networks (mine is Allpoint), you should be able to get cash at the CVS & Walgreens ATMs without a fee.
Yes, some may just not be aware at all. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!!
A lot of crooks in Las Vegas and it seems to be allowed by the city. Thank you for the video.
Great info.
The Sugar Factory automatically adds 20 percent on your bill as a service charge. Then, it shows tip percentages and has a tip line. Many ppl tip twice not knowing the service charge is a tip. It's a very confusing bill
Great video! We visit Vegas 2-3 times a year and always follow the comps to make it more affordable. Good info for those newer to Vegas, you are both delightful 😊
Thank you. Great strategy to enjoy Vegas a bit more affordably. By the way be sure to follow our newsletter for up-to-date info on where we are, tips, latest video releases, new merch, and more plus the occasional funny photo of us. 😂 www.turnitupworld.com/newsletter
split-staying isnt that bad if you just drop your luggage with concierge in between your check out at one hotel, and check in time at the next.
If you’re just riding up and down the Strip just get on the Deuce. It’s cheaper.
Rinse and repeat rent a car!
Thank you for your video. It was a great presentation that was to the point.
You guys are Great🙏🏽
Thank you for this amazing.
You're very welcome!
I've been scammed several times in the past. My last visit was in 2006.
Suckers!
I enjoy this lol I go to Vegas often and usually show friends around; this video is a helpful intro to send out
Great channel! Already a subscriber and looking forward to many more Vegas videos!
Thanks so much David!!
Never accept a free sample of those beauty products because they will get you to come into their shop and try to sell you expensive face cream
Aria is now charging $24 for 1 litre water bottles in their mini-bar. lol
Buldogis on the west side of Vegas Valley recently charged me a "take out" fee without disclosing it on their website, restaurant or when I ordered in person. They said it was for the paper... the food was terrible.
Now that is ridiculous!
Thanks for the update.....
You’re welcome!
I did one timeshare last year me and the lady got into it afterwards bc I didn't want to buy. Will never do again idc how many nights free they giving
Totally agree with tip #1! I had a layover so decided to pass time playing..lets just say, NEVER AGAIN, horrible!
I had a long wait at the airport in Reno when Star Wars slots were about. Let’s just say “The Force” was with me! 😆
Hey guys, thank for the video. We are visiting next month. Where is the sci-fi bar seen at 09:46?
Enlighting messages And thoughtful quotes THANKS 🙏
Grat Video 📷📷,,,In my opinion TimeShare is the Biggest Scam in good ol Vegas
For ATM fees, I'm surprised that you didn't mention CVS, Walgreens, or Target ATMs. Those are Allpoint ATMs, and many banks let you use them for free. If it's not free for you, the fee is still only $3.50. Much less than what the casino ATMs charge.
Fix a price in advance if you want to get a picture taken with the feather girls. They really don’t have any right to charge you at all but if you really want the photo pay a realistic amount. If what they’re charging is too high just simply walk away…
We're staying there this weekend for UFC. Can't wait to check it out. Thank you for all the info!
I don't think there has ever been a time Vega$ hotels and casinos have not had a scam or two. Pickpockets used to be pretty bad on the Strip. We've chased away a few timeshare reps and one cried. This vlog is one of your best ones so far really professional.
Thanks for watching and sharing your story. TURN IT UP!!!
One cried?! What did you say to them? I'm so curious now lol 😆!
@@TheMeloettaful well it's a long story but the timeshare folk don't like losing potential prospects.... really don't like the truth in front of crowds.
I love this video! You two are so fun and refreshing to watch
Thanks so much Kimberly!
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾❤️
These are really good tip! Thank you!
Glad you found our video helpful, thanks!
Going to Vegas at the end of the month (March 31st) and I appreciate knowing what to a avoid, thank you!
This was super helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! Thanks!!

Thanks Dawn!
Great video as usual and thanks for the shout out I appreciate you❤❤❤
Thanks so much Rosemarie - glad you enjoyed the video and we were happy to give you the shout out!!
Time share deals are great. You just have to know how to say no.
Your Weds dance 💃🏻 was amazing. 👍🏼👍🏼🤣🤣
Thank you so much for these tips. I learned a lot.
I love Vegas, but I told my husband one thing before he went with me for the first time. Vegas has one job, and it’s to extract every single last penny from your wallet. If you understand that, then you can prepare for it.
Just subscribed thx for your help 🥳🤩😘🎀🌸💜
Congratulations on the 100k subs. 👏
Thanks! 😃
theres an easy way to kill cnf fees. ask beforehand if the restaurant charges them. If they say yes walk away. if they dont tell you and it shows up on your bill dont tip. circle the cnf fee and write that it covers their tip. itll get the employees fed up enough to quit and when they have employee shortages theyll be forced to concede
No they won't.
Thanks for the info.
You’re welcome, thanks! Are you planning a trip to Las Vegas in 2023?
Just subscribed
Great stuff, thanks
Yay 100k subscriber play button coming to you guys! Congrats 👏
Thank you Quinn! 🎉
I will never again go there till they remove the resort fees
Good advice
New Sub here! Cheers from New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
100k BABY!
Congrats
Thank you!!!! 🙏
Wow! Thank you for sharing your story! Las Vegas Mickey don't play! 😂 Glad things worked out.
All this casinos in las vegas became a den of thieves.
Another fantastic informative video as always. You guys rock!! 👍👍
The "not giving your coins" when you cash out your ticket, happens everywhere now. Not just Vegas. I'm from Washington state and it happens here.
