UFC made me hate MMA and I used to be obsessed with MMA. That's all I'm gonna say. It feels like an anti-fight organization and all fights are so boring and lame it feels like the only goal the fighters have is to not get hurt at all in the octagon.
Completely agree, its sad that boxers get paid more when MMA takes more skill and more dangerous. It takes UFC fighters to go to boxing to be paid more than they get in UFC, like c'mon man. If UFC wants to completely destroy Boxing, the money should give fighters a reason to not get that boxing money.
I think a lot of fighters are taking the wrong approach / maybe taking some bad advice. They want to fight for the belt but the belt isn’t what gets you $ it’s card placement, Suga is playing it smart and up and coming stars should copy him and fight bums, f the rankings they don’t matter
Says... who? Or why??? Like, literally humans designed the system known as capitalism, it can be altered. And it's not like companies are beholden to fucking over their employees, i mean technically they are by definition by them making profit from others doing the actual work, (by they, i mean capitalists/owners), but there's no natural or inherent law governing what companies must do or that our system must be designed to function. This is why unions are extremely important and useful, they provide pressure on the system to change, (even if most of the bigger modern day American ones are broken and aren't nearly as antagonistic toward the ruling class as they should be). I mean, how the fuck do you think NBA players get paid as much as they do if they didn't have the ability to collectively bargain? They'd be getting measly contracts and make barely any of the total amount of revenue the league and owners made from each game/fight - like UFC fighters currently. We can alter our system if we want to, and people believing that "no one's guaranteed a paycheck" are the thing those who benefit the most from how the system operates currently are counting on to keep it from changing.

Fighters do not get paid enough lol. You forget gym fees, manager fees, everyday living, and taxes. They make nothing unless they are the top 5 and champions of the division.

This stunts their progress as they arent able to train to their full potential. We would see much more talent and growth in the sport if you could actually make some real money competing in mma. When you have top ten ufc title contenders making less than league minimum in the nfl, theres very little incentive for athletes to pursue a career in the sport.

This is because the nfl players have unionized and can argue to make that amount of money. Dana White tries to divide ufc fighters so they dont unionize, so he can bring in more profit for himself and the company. If the ufc's main attraction are the fighters, dont you think that its fair they make a higher percentage of what they brought in? I feel like the greed lies more within dana white and not the fighters who simply want the money that they worked for and brought to the company.
