    01:03 Putting ice in Tupperware inside an icebox is a great idea. I'm using that, thanks! Can't believe I didn't figure that one out myself. Liked and subscribed! Your cooking skills is a bit lacking, but I won't hold it against you hehe

    Great "how-to" Ken. We'll have to catch up when you're around, I'm just starting the build out of my pickup cap rig.

      Yes, I so wanted to get out with y'all this year. I ended up heading west, Colorado, SD, ND, Arizona, NM and never made it to Maine !! Next year !!!

    I would love to have a 4 door Jeep! & Taking back seats is a great idea! Only thing I worry about is not much insulation. Alot of windows u could use reflectix, u could even put it on floor but a little work. That awning is pricie but worth it u said & looks very well made!👍✌️

      Staying warm isn't to hard. Can always just turn the heat on. I sleep with a heated vest as well and it really helps. More of a problem staying cool in the summer. Thats a challenge. Thanks so much for watching !!!

      I have been sleeping inside the rig. Its just big enough. I found some BLM land in Arizona and set up for a few days. Hung out with Bob Wells from Cheap RV living and some other friends. It was great. Funny you mention food. I said to myself Calvins gonna be happy I cooked !!! lol

    Nice video. Interested in how you did the rear winch battery cables?

    • @BackcountryNomad
      @BackcountryNomad  Месяц назад +2

      @@fcastle4 I bought a kit on Amazon it has alligator clips to clip to the battery under the hood and then it has a quick connect with 25 ft of extension. I have a hardwired mount on the winch. All I have to do is plug the cable in, connect it and go. With 25 ft extension. It also allows me to be able to fasten the winch to a tree with a strap if I need to. It gives me a lot of diversity

      @ Sounds like a good solution. I went the traditional route and have it hardwired to the battery. Thanks, I appreciate the response.
