Judy has the grace, intelligence, and charm of a national treasure. She has the wisdom of 10,000 old souls. She is best of American civility we have to offer. R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
Judy was the perfect person for her role on PBS...not only a great interviewer, great moderator/mediator but also a model of how a person can be professional, incisive and focused while being a kind, careful, respectful person.
In other words, she's everything that many Americans don't necessarily want in their news. Because the fact that channels like PBS, who still strive to inform you in a manner that is objective isn't at the top of the ratings scale, simply tells you where people's tastes are when it comes to the consumption of information. Many people these days don't want to be informed. They want to have their biases confirmed, preferably in the most sensationalist and emotionally engaging way, whether they want to admit it or not. That's why ratings belong to networks like FOX.
Til she started lying and pushing false narratives. Used to watch her frequently, until the media started lying about everything. For a while I still thought she was honest and above board. Not so, she’s equally as biased as the rest. CNN FOX MSNBC et al. Sad that they’ve all gone the way of this slimy crooked government.
_"Politics can be civil"_ - The fact that she had to say that is a sad reflection on how things aren't the way it used to be, at least in America. Although, in many places in the civilized world, politics are still civil for the most part.
Agree it is important to maintain civility. Unfortunately in today's world you have to be half alligator sometimes to survive, at least "keep them guessing". Nice to see Judy again. Wish both of you good luck.
