    I love anything with Snow Elves and the Forgotten Vale....to bad vyrthur had to be petty, and land the finishing blow to his own race.

    • @grzegorzflorek5623
      @grzegorzflorek5623 4 года назад +14

      How ironic, that the extinction of their race in the end was not brought by the Nords, but from the dark heart of one of their own kin. There is only one thing that man needs to beware more than any other enemy - his own heart...

    The forgotten vale has to be one of the saddest places in Skyrim, beautiful, untouched and tragic, you have to kill the second last snow elf.

    To be able to play as a Snow elf... that would be amazing. Their tragic story and the beauty of their land is something unique. It stole the show for me in Skyrim.

    The vale and snow elves story brought a tear to my eye. Aesthetically gorgeous, great music and atmosphere. Ominous. It's like stepping back into the merethic-first era.

    The Forgotten Vale and the snow elves made Touching the Sky the best quest in Skyrim.

    The beauty of the scenery brought to us by the Dawnguard DLC is in such sharp contrast to the downtrodden feel of the rest of the game that it feels out of place at first. Then two dragons pop out of a lake and you fight an ancient vampire elf. After that it fits right in with the rest of the mess that is the setting of Skyrim.

    It really annoys me that there is so little information about the falmer. Bethesda basically forgot they existed up until dawnguard. Not a single ruin or anything

      Yep, I feel they just ham fisted it into the Dawnguard DLC, and it was so rushed too, and Gelebor was a huge missed opportunity on Bethesda's part 😓

    It never ceases to amaze me how much work and dedication goes into these videos. I'm so interested in locations like these but may not always have the time to research everything on my own. I want to make a quick note that I find it interesting how the Falmer and the Chimer sort of have a similar idea in their religions (albeit vastly different Gods and methods of devotion to those Gods) that enlightenment is only achieved through hardship and battles both within oneself and without oneself. Where as other religions see that their enlightenment or afterlife is either guaranteed to them if they act valiantly or through the safety of their churches and devout prayer, it was super interesting to see that the Falmer and the Chimer much rather believe in endurance of the pains of mortal life to reach enlightment.

    Genuinely one of the most beautiful places in Tamriel. The Vale is a prime example of Elven beauty. No one can deny the charm and wonder that hits you when you enter the Vale. This is the place that made me grow a lot of hatred for Nords. I wish they'd never wiped the Snow Elves out, I don't care about the reasons. They were glorious.

      Well,they are the responsables for their extinction after the sacking of Saarthal(the Night of Tear thing) and só angered the atmorans.But they didn’t deserved this fate,to become exterminated by the man and slaved by the one they trusted,the dwemer.
      Skyrim belongs to the Snow Elves!

    • @nofaith9116
      @nofaith9116 4 года назад +1

      @@lucasruas7790 I dont buy the story that the Snow Elves sacked Saarthal. They could have, but Tes stories run on the whole unreliable narrator unless we played the story in the game. I find it odd that the only source we get are from the Atmorans who destroyed every aspect of their culture, architect, literature and anything that show an opposing story. Also after the fall of the Snow Elves..the Nords whent on a conquest of all of northern Tamriel...dont forget, the Nord claimed skyrim as their ancestral home while the Snow Elves ruled Skyrim. Theres a lot of little details that seem suspicious to me

    In my own headcanon, after my Dragonborn (that later became emperor) killed Vyrthur and used the bow to kill Harkon, he gave it back to Gelebor to keep it safe, then some weeks later a snow elf girl arrived at the chantry, she was the sister of the Snow Prince, after the prince lost the battle she was frozen in a hidden location and sealed there to be kept safe. Now with Gelebor she started using her poweful healing magic of auriel to try and heal the Falmer, while the Falmer could never become again what they were they can at least become more conscious (as even Gelebor said that was happening through the ages) the falmer then became something similar to the Nightfallen from World of Warcraft.

    • @lucasruas7790
      @lucasruas7790 4 года назад +1

      That’s something cool,but I think that all these years,the falmer grew in hatred against the surface and I believe that the next Skyrim’s crisis will be the falmer invasion,and this can be true because we see that some falmer lurked our of their caves and kidnapped civilians.Sadly there is no way back o revert their state

    • @Trortun
      @Trortun 4 года назад

      @@lucasruas7790 I disagree, As I mentioned Gelebor says in the game that he noticed that the Falmer are become more and more advanced and intelligent, and that's to expect when you see what they managed to build. Gelebor syas that he expect that in the near future he will be able to comunicate with the falmer and even tho they will neve be the same he will be able to at least talk with them and show them how they used to be. That's gelebor words. I agree that they will never be cured but if communication is indeed established i see no reason why they couldn't change
