Thank you soo much. Been trying to work out how to open mine for ages. I didn't want to force anything open without knowing how it actually opens up and it's taken me ages to find this video, so thank you :D
Thanks a lot. Played your video while taking apart my son’s HP to clean and check a noisy cooling fan. Nice clear commentary which is much appreciated.
Great video! Needed help for cleaning mine. I had no idea how hidden the screws could be lol. Thanks a lot.
Dude just what i was looking. Tysm. This is the one video from this hp serie
This is my Pc and I am going to change to a SSD, I was looking how to disassemble. Thank you very much it was VERY well explained
Hi Hazretleri, My laptop is also exactly the same. I would like to change my key board. it is not not working properly. But I don't know the model number. Could you please mention the same.
Many thanks - very helpful. Appreciate the time you took to put it together.
Your tutorial is perfect. Unfortunately for me, I’m still frustrated because I wanted to remove the top so I could clean under the keyboard only to find removing the keyboard looks super complicated! Lol. Hopefully, I can find a good tutorial on that too! Thanks so much for this video.
Y'know, as much as i love my laptop, HP didnt design this one very well tbh
Lol, the people who designed this should be crushed with stones.
Great Videos, thanks man you deserve million view and clicks....
Thanks helped a lot! Turns out the only problem with mine was the CMOS battery died, thank you for the easiest fix ever
Thank you this has helped my disk drive messed up and I needed to get inside the laptop but I don't have a small screwdriver to get those three screws there or near the disc drive
Thanks for the video sir! I needed to replace the the fan since it started making a hell of a noise. Wanted to do it all by myself and your video helped a lot particularly finding the hidden screws.
I also have a noisy fan that needs replacing! I followed the video and opened the laptop up, managed to get the motherboard up as the fan is accessed from underneath, but then couldn't see how to remove the fan itself! Would you be able to give any pointers or instructions?! Thanks in advance, any help appreciated!
@@tracieatkins1636 as far as I remember, there were some 3 screws that support the fan module in its place on the motherboard. I'm not exactly sure about the structure now, neither do I have pics for pointing, but I'm sure only the screws need to be undone to get the fan out from underneath.
@@shubhshar Thanks I'll have a look again. I was just a bit worried because I read somewhere on line some fans might need soldering!
Very helpful, thanks @Games
This video Useful and inspired me to repair my HP laptop myself ❤ thanks mate.
thanks!!! it has help to me a lot :) God Bless You dude!! :)
+MAXIMO DESARROLLO I am glad it did.

Excellent , thankyou so much!
Perfect. Stripping my mum's laptop as she spilt a drink over the keyboard and then told me about it 2 weeks later so it was well and truly dead. She just wanted the Randy Crawford CD out of it. lol
good work > I have the pavilion gaming series it looks pretty much the same but I have seen another video , they don't remove the rubber legs . just pry the corners as whole
Thanks for this video. It confused me as to why my keyboard wasn't coming off straight away until i watched this video and realised that there was a hidden screw like at 3:50
Excellent disassembly video! I couldn't have got into my laptop to get to the hard drive without it!
thanks for the explanation !
Ty i use it today and it works 👍
Thanks for a super tutorial, really helped me fix a laptop... could have damaged the laptop as did not see the "hidden screws".. fairly ok to remove afterwards. careful removing the data "ribbons".. brought the old laptop back to life after changing the hard drive.. Thanks again
Thank you for this video, now I know that laptop of yours is same as mine. It has two drive slots. for the HDD and SSD. Because I'm planning to upgrade mine to SSD.

lifesaver thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH BRO
Thanks, pesky hidden screws were holding me up!
me too!
Paul Sampson same here!
Thank you.. This video helped a lot, I disassembled my laptop and cleaned the fan which was causing it to overheat.. hope it does not bring me trouble later.
Marco Perez-MacCollum how did you clean the fan?
Saretnoc use a thick, round artist brush preferably made from natural bristles [to avoid creating static electricity, which can damage electronic chip components] to clean the fins and a hair dryer set on cold to blow away the dust as you brush. Never use a vacuum cleaner because they can suck too hard and spin the fan much too fast, more than it is designed to handle.
Thank you!
Gracias brother de mucha ayuda
Thank you! :)
Thank you very match.
Excelente, me sirvio para abrir una igual y cambiar el disco por un SSD
thks helped a lot
THX FOR HELP
Excelente aporte gracias.
Thanks a lot
thank you so much..
Thanks for that, I would have missed the one under the sticker.
Damn thank you bro
thank you
Thanks for posting this ... Reminds me more of an aicraft mechanic pointing out the "non intuitive" tricks to take it apart (remove all screws, doesn't open because a hidden clip HP wants impatient people to break off, lol). Anyway, for repairs and upgrades .. AVOID HP. Period. Lack of easy access and a design making it almost impossible for a novice to upgrade memory or a hard drive is rediculous. Most other brands have small access doors on the back to replace a HDD or memory. Come on, what idiots at HP came up with this idea???
cdcollura it's such a shame how their new designs destroy any sort of upgradability without watching videos or following complex guides. Taking the laptop apart for the first time was extremely tedious and time consuming. They slowly started to limit upgradability with 2015 models by adding 1 Bay for rams only instead of rams hdd and wifi for a sleeker look. And now they ditched it all for a uni body like design. This is seriously backwards thinking.
I have a p-series laptop and a stick of RAM died in it last night. So, I now have to go through a whole convoluted process just to figure out which stick died and repeat it so that I can upgrade it from it's original 6 gigs to 8 gigs. The was my 3rd hp laptop and probably my last one, well technically one of them was under the Compaq branding which was made by HP. The quality an on HP products has gotten ridiculously bad and now they are even going Apple on us and making their stuff way harder to repair than it used to be.
thanks a lot broh ,helped me a lot👌
What is the part number of this motharboeard number
thank you :)
Cool! Could you please make any videos of how to install SSD and how to upgrade the ram for the same series. Or if there are any videos plz comment
NICE
Thanks for sharing.
How do you replace the RTC battery of the same model of laptop?
I stacked with DVD and never figured out how to open this damn thing
Yeah same! @AJ1211 pls help us out
thanks
Thank you for showing me the HIDDEN screws place, I had 2 hidden ones. It was soo annoying. But What is more annoying is that corner, I can't get it off!!! I snapped my knife! I snapped my credit card! Trust me that corner is soo difficult to snap off! with so little gap!!
Anyhow I needed to remove my corrupt hard work, so luckily I was just managed to remove it through that 1 inch space.
I still can't remove that top though. I most likely damaged some stuff because I heard a lot of snapping. But I rebooted, everything working fine so far. keyboard included.
Now I want to know his will this motherboard support faster drive because my current corrupt one is slow, malfunctioned and I rather invest in a new one.
Anyways this video was indeed helpful for those who can remove the top part. I just needed to remove the hard drive so it was luckily in my reach at the bottom.
If my new hard drive doesn't work with this, I'm going to put this in the trash where it belongs.
Hi I'm glad I found this, one of the hinges on my exact model of this has slightly separated which prevents me closing my laptop screen would you advise taking it to a store (as I've never attempted to get into a laptop before) or is this not such a difficult thing to do?
I hit the 1k like .
Thx
Nice
quick question, do you think thermal pads would help these series of laptops with some heat dissipation? and if you do, on what parts of the motherboard would you put the thermal pads?
can you give me instructions for the hdd dvd caddy which one should i order/
all the 15p series have space for the ssd? I mean, i have a 15 p201-la, but idk if that have the same pieces or the same space inside
I have that same laptop but the flat screw behind de DVD drive (there is only one btw) have the head damaged. Do I need to remove it to just detach the front panel with the keyboard?
cool
many thanks great video, one problem i have is my screen wont come, the cap lock key just blinks, can you help?
Hey ..can you specify the size of the caddy you used for replacing the cd rom with HDD/SSD. Thanks!
gracias, gracias gracias
hey nice job! is there a touchpad with 2 mouse button for 15p series? can you take any model and tinker with it?
Can you provide a link with the same kind of cover (i got the caddy but its open, so the dust gets in from there) for uniformity
hi there, what caddy u use in that video? 9mm or 12mm, do the original hdd fit in it? I'm thinking of buying 2.5 ssd and swap it with my original hdd. thank you
Same laptop but want to attach external pc graphic card by replacing wifi card
So does this laptop have pciex16 express port to attaching it
What size screwdriver do you need in order to remove the really small flathead screw underneath the optical drive when the optical drive is removed?
How come I am having so much trouble removing the CD/DVD drive? Screws have been removed but it almost seems as if applying more force will break it ...
theres a very tricky 0.5mm cover screw in the middle there
Any tips on removing the secret screw under the sticker at 3:55 ? I absolutely can't remove the sticker
Thank yoy
My hp17-p110nr is pretty much the same for where all screws are, etc. But those strange flat "screws" under the optical drive tray, what kind of driver did you use to remove them? They're too flat for my smallest Phillip's. Please help! Have new fan to put in because old one died.
NIce
I am using this same laptop for last 10 Years.Insanely Awesome and Nice Magic from Hewlett-Packard
me too. it's really reliable. since 2015 to 2024
All the computer manufacturers are hiding the HARD DISKS deep inside. It cuts down the amount of average people replacing them. Make it a bigger pain that way it gets sent back to a service center.
Great video. Is that what i would have to do if i just wanted to replace the hard drive?
yes this is what i am doing now
hi got a problem on that screw once you remove the optical drive that flat thing how did you remove it?
I have the red and black pavilion those ribbon cables can I just pull them out I know some they have a plastic clip you have to depress in order to remove them I just wanted to make sure before I don't break anything
Hi any way you could help me find a replacement led for this exact laptop
Question, maybe 2 years ago, my laptop stopped working, in the sense it wont turn on. Any tips on what I should look for going inside my laptop to help fix the problem?
Where did you get the tray for the hard drive that sits in the disk drive space?
Is there anything you can do if the thing that holds the cables down breaks
could you please do video regarding ram upgrade , where u remove the motherboard please
